Ramada Gateway Hotel Kissimmee    

Being woke up arouns 7:30 a.m. by the garage truck banging metal cans. Don't tell me that the staff doesn't know what day the truck comes so that he can put guests on the opposite side.

the location

first room, wife stepped on gum when entering room. it was dirty & we had to switch rooms. the clerk admitted that the further away from front desk, the worse the rooms were kept. she also said we take our chances when we book through an online service. the next room was slightly better but still undesirable. we tried finding another place to stay but couldn't. we had booked a king size bed and got 2 queens. my wife had trouble sleeping because of the sanitation. the room was old, hadn't been updated for some time, rust stains all over bathroom floors, carpet was frayed. extremely disapointed.

Location to Walt Disney World's World Drive accessing all of the wdw parks. Hotel and room were clean. The heated pool and the area surrounding the pool was nice.

Horribly hard and highly elevated bed! Super thin pillows. Inconsistent housekeeping...one day no washclothes, another no bath mat, yet another no bath soap. Upon check in we were given a property map and the desk clerk circled the names and phone numbers of the 3 resturants, and she told me that we should check the "in room directory" for menus and info on how to order. That info was also on the map. It's hard to check an in room directory when the hotel doesn't have any! I called and asked for one since our room didn't have one, but housekeeping couldn't supply it. When I checked the next day at the front desk I was told that in order to keep costs down, Ramada would not supply them. Huh?! We ended up ordering offsite since they couldn't even supply a paper menu for us to look at.

The location

To start, I didn't like that the door to our room was near impossible to open and shut. My husband had to do most of that. Almost as soon as we got in our room, we found the first of 3 roaches. The next morning, before we left for The Magic Kingdom, I requested that they fix the door. They never did. When we got back that night, it was very late, we opened the dresser to get pajamas out and there was the another roach. I managed to squish it on a towel and I took it down stairs to speak with the manager. He was very apalogitic, and saw to it that we were moved to another room. We moved rooms first thing in the morning. The laundry area is really crappy, you have to change your dollars for tokens to use the machines. I had to run the dryer twice per load. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Low price and location

Property was old and showed its age. Security wasn't always on duty - so why have it at all. Very noisy outside rooms. Restaurant experience was unpleasant , not a good value for the price, much better options very nearby...wouldn't advise people to eat at property restaurant. Fridge in room wasn't clean.

They cleaned the room the first and last day only. They just made beds and placed cleaned towels daily. Carpet and floor were dirty most of the week. Water in the shower was more colder than hot and warm.

Quiet, coffee and frig, convenient location

beds were high, ants in the room, dull and plain,pools not kept clean always had leaves no happy hour or get togethers to meet other guests, shuttle service to limited to Disney

Location was excellent. Cost was grat. Staff was very friendly and General Manager was able to rectify situation immediately upon our conversation and had a sense of caring of his establishment.

Outdated rooms and furniture. Roaches in room near refrigerator and bathroom sink. Dinning services were not very good. Cold food on breakfast buffet. It happens at times and I understand. Tables were very tacky and sticky to the feel and glassware was dirty that we were served orange juice in. Understandable these things happen in this industry. I noticed these things immediatley and would recommend a standardized cleaning schedule for staff to ensure these areas are clean and create routines for the staff to follow and create change in a positive way.

Needs maintenance. There were cockroach in the Lobby.

The rooms were very dated. Carpets were disgusting. After being at the Disney park all day, we got back to our room at 11pm and found that the blanket on one of the beds was covered in disgusting stains. I called the front desk 4 times (no one ever picked up). I went with blanket in hand to the front desk and asked for a clean one...housekeeping came 15 minutes later with yet another stained & ripped blanket! The noise factor at this resort was so bad we were unable to sleep. Annoying, loud karaoke in the lobby at 11:30pm kept us up. Would never go to this hotel again - even if it were free!

Staff at the front desk was very helpful. Location, comfortable beds.

The water smelled horrible. Every time we would flush the toilet, take a shower, wash our hands, or someone above us would do any of those things, our rooms smelled like reclaimed sewage water. The workers in the restaurant were very rude and refused to seat us after we were standing there for 20 minutes. I actually approached the lady and simply said "excuse me" and she turned to me and rudely said "you will have to wait" walked away and never returned.

I arrived at 6pm, checked in my very first room had never been cleaned since the last guest, after moving to my second room, room was hot and the a/c nor heater worked. I was tired I delt with it for the night. Plus the smoke detector did not work, after moving to my third room a/c, heater and smoke detector worked I was good until. The Unit was next to the quest laundry room, the seal around the door was gone so all the smell from the laundry room came into my room. Unpleasent smell, not to mention the draft I had all night. Plus its a Code violation for smoke detectors not working.

Location of the hotel

The hotel was pet friendly (which I didn't know), therefore, there were dogs barking at the door/hallway the whole day. I complained to the hotel counter, that my next door and cross neighbors has barking dogs, they will not move or give refund for the problem.

As far as the location of Ramada Gateway Hotel Kissimmee is concerned, its great.

They dont provide wi-fi facility, microwave and complementry breakfast in the standard room. What else does a family on vacation for Disney World need.

I only liked that it has a shuttle to Diesny world and the sea world.

I have not stayed at the Tower though I tried to, but it was full. Where I stayed though it was Dirty ! I changed my room because I saw cockroach, however the new room has spider, aunts and it did not feel right. . The internet is very slow.

I was very happy with the Ramada Gateway. Very clean and very friendly. I am handicapped and they were wonderful. Made our reservations at the last minute and they still got me on the first floor. Wonderful..

It wasn't the hotel, it was the shuttle. They only have certain times for the shuttle to take you to the park and we got on the shuttle for Magic Kingdom and we got off at Epcot and took a tram to the main station and had to get on another tram for the Magic Kingdom. Being handicapped, it was hard to walk with my walker that far, wasn't able to get an electric wheelchair till we got inside the park. They need more times for all the parks in the morning. If we would have waited for the Magic Kingdom shuttle it didn't come till 11:15 am.

The Wifi-connection does not Work in the room. In the hotel lobby did not Work properly during two days.

The price was right

The shuttle service to the theme parks was a joke. And it was very expensive back and forth to the airport because no transportation was available. It also didn't include a complimentary breakfast and for what you pay I think they should include that.

The location was ideal and value for the price was great.

Rooms seem a little worn and could use a revamp.

The staff was very helpful.

. We were told that there was a continental breakfast that was included with our room, but not a full breakfast. I showed the staff the print out of our accommodations which included breakfast. Anytime you book a room on the internet there is total clarity concerning the free meals that are served, or not served with the room. Breakfast was stated, but we had to speak up to get it honored. This is wrong! The manager did finally accommodate us, but we felt the entire situation was fasely advertised.
