Score from 236 reviews Very good
Close to the airport Staff very cheerful and helpful, no fuss made when asked to change rooms because of broken toilet.
Poor choice of meals Far from city centre
Close to the airport. Cheap.
It was kind of a creepy place. Probably quite nice 40 years ago.
Nice fast and free shuttle service to/from airport. Average breakfst in the morning. Nice staff.
Room was very dated and bathroom was kinda grungy with a dripping faucet. Terrible sound proofing between rooms and people thumping down the hall. Hotel is not withing real walking distance to any restaurants and theirs didn't open until 5 pm so we had a very long walk down the highway to find some lunch upon arrival.
Bathroom poor condition
Front counter staff helpful
But twice got my bookings wrong. The first time I arrived back at my room and the key wouldn't fit. They claimed I had only booked one night when the booking.com paperwork proved I had booked two. The second time they got my booking mixed up by one week but fortunately still had a suitable room available. Not having an elevator is a pain and particularly difficult for elderly people.
Close proximity to airport and shuttle service was quick.
I reserved a king bed but want given one and they didn't have one either. No apologies for it not being available. Room wouldn't lock unless you slammed the door shut. It was under construction so it was dusty. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Lobby was great! But the rest of the hotel seemed to be 30 years older than the lobby so that was deceiving on their website.
Lobby is very nice after renovation. Have to assume that the rooms will be equally good after upgrade
Bathroom need update, Tub / shower surround have dark patches on caulking
My room was all the at the end of the hallway
Staff answered phone with "Ramada, hold" and never came back on the line - 3 times. Called a cab. Then, gave me key to room already occupied.
close to the airport
Although this place looks okay from the outside and the lobby is okay the room was disgusting, old and the furniture was falling apart. The bedding was clean enough but their was a rip in the headboard and it was falling apart - The bathroom was old and was in need of an update 15 years ago. They were renovating somewhere in the hotel and there was gyp rock dust all over the hotel - if I hadn't been driving all day had an early morning flight I would have left as soon as I walked into the room! Do yourself a favour and stay at the Best Western down the road!
Location was good if you want to stay near the airport, free shuttle was punctual, manager put us on first floor after we complained about no elevators because we had much luggage and a small child (first they put us on 3rd floor)
Smelly room, no elevators, very poorly decorated room, bed sheets stained with blood, far away from any restaurants or shops, smallest TV of any hotel I've seen
Hotel smelled like an old Vegas casino.
not clean, poorly maintained
location; clean room
air condition was manual; ice cold or not cold enough; but blankets solved this.
Bed was comfortable.
TV didn't work. I missed the airport shuttle due to flight delay..hotel didn't not take this into consideration.
One of the managers overheard our problem and came in and fixed it.
The first person at the desk was not interest in helping us in any way.
Hotel well situated near the airport
Room and bath are run down, no hair dryer available, safe unusable, room telephone did not work not even internally. No breakfast earlier than 6am, so we had to leave without. Just good for a night if you have to stay near the airport! I stayed at good Ramadas in Germany so was expecting something better than this hotel!
within 5kms of IAH, good breakfast spread
Entire hotel in dire need of a make-over - everything is creaky, toilet cistern leaked all night. Had neighbours playing VERY loud music at 4am and despite requests to reception nothing tangible was done.
The staff was new and tried very hard. They were better then good but not excellent. The breakfast was very clean and very well managed. The food was very good, again, not perfect but good for the money. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was under new management and construction. You can tell they were wanting to put their best efforts to making it a much better experience. The hotel was very very very clean.
transportation was poor from airport to hotel and from hotel to airport we had to wait for an hour for hotel bus from airport and in the morning driver took us to wrong area to catch flight
At one point this was a nice hotel, but you can tell it has not been maintained. They do have a bar and restaurant that weren't horrible.
Paint peeling off wall, sliding doors that didn't open with missing handles that had holes where insects could come in. Loud a/c that forced you to up the TV when it kicked on.
The 6am shuttle left at 10 minutes before 6. The staff could not have cared less. They said they have no authority over their own shuttle driver. Had to flag a cab.
It was available and we were stranded at the airport.
It was dirty and damp. They were renovating but everything was about half-done, including the room. There were clothes from the last occupant stashed in the closet and trash on the floor. The "crown molding" on the ceiling was made of styrofoam, which they may or may not have intended to paint. The staff was not very helpful or friendly, we had to wait an hour at the airport for the shuttle, and the front desk gave us erroneous information about where to catch the shuttle. Overall, pretty terrible, but it was the only thing available, so they charged quite a bit for their very marginal room.
My refund! Thanks booking.com agent! You need a raise!
Not advertised as under construction. No A/C other than first floor! Tarps everywhere! I think I was the only guest on the floor! Doors open on both sides of my room. Dumpsters in parking lot! They should be embarrassed to take reservations. Free horror movie set!
TV didn't work. No electric on one side of the room. Halls were dirty. No elevator to get to second floor. Electric plugs in bathroom didn't work. Strong odor of disinfectant.
