Classy without being pretentious. Helpful front desk. Pretty good complimentary breakfast. Loved the area. Really loved the Belvedere Restaurant right next door ! Looking forward to going back again at some point.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ramada all the staff were great but especially the receptionist who was on duty when we arrived, we had trouble with our credit card but she was very patient. It was great not to have to leave the hotel to look for breakfast.

We had a great experience staying at the Ramada Eastside. The location was fantastic, and the price was really reasonable. The staff were super helpful and accomodating whenever we had questions or concerns. It was nice to have the continental breakfast in the morning - always lots of room to sit, fresh fruit, hot coffee :) I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The location is great!, close to Grand Central Station, Empire State Bldg, etc. Also the breakfast was very good.

The concierge attention was a complete disaster. They were rude, not polite and when we arrived they were shouting to each other in their language and we had to wait for the discussion get finished.

It was a great value for the price. The location was very convenient. The hotel room was clean and well-maintained. It wasn't luxurious, but who comes to NYC to hang out in their room?

We ended up in the wheelchair-accessible room due to the hotel being fully-booked. It was a different experience to have everything at waist height.

We were given an A4 page of additional charges when we checked out. Although I don't think this is unique to the Ramada (city taxes etc) we did feel that the price shown should have been the price paid.

I thought Ramada was a chain managed with standards, it ended up being a franchise, poorly managed by independent owners... We arrived on friday 14:30, our room was not ready. We were asked to come back later (this happens after intercontinental flight of 8 hours) We dropped our bags and returned at 18:00 to check-in. At that moment we were given a smoking room, although we explicitly asked for a non smoking room. They told us booking.com can not guarantee for non-smoking room, and refused to give us another room. Our booking had the text "strictly non smoking". Their main argument was that the hotel was sold-out. We demanded any kind of non-smoking room, even if it is below our rate, split beds etc. Did not get it. Some other things were bad too, but mainly the attitude of the staff kills the joy of your holiday. The guy at the reception does not even have the courtesy of saying good morning, even if you greet him first. Our friends coming into the hotel were shocked of his attitude.

- Breakfast hall was probably 25c warm, humid and not fresh smelling, dirty tables - Staff were not polite, they refuse to greet you or help you (asked for blankets by phone, they forgot!, had to call again) - All food is 2nd quality, juice is weird with some syrup at the bottom - there were left over flip-flop slippers of a previous guest in the room (dirty) and things that do not matter that much for us, but may be relevant for others: - hair dryer was not working - the window was a centimeter open, and whole night noise comes in from the street (room 604) - no spare blankets in the room - the TV seems from the 80s, weird remote

The location is great, it is clean and comfortable.

The price is a bit high, I think because it is NYC.

I really ejoyed the location, and the staff were very supportive, they had excellent manners.
