the history of this 100 year old building... the rooftop 360* view....the very cool original elevators....the staff... the quaint & immaculate room... all made this day-cation very special. If you're planning a trip to Petco Park.... STAY HERE!!

During our stay, we enjoyed the GasLamp /Convention Center Beautiful area and specially the 5th Street/Ave. We also had a day visit at the Sea World, which was so impressive. Above all, we were so grateful for the kindness and professionalism of your Staff members. Thank you

Its elevator is old-style and cool. I like that! And the location is also good, near by trolley station and shopping area.

The Ramada is a wonderful hotel, the building, espcecially the elevator and the lobby is retro and charming. The staff was friendly, you can get valet parking for 20$ and there is a 24hour Bar next door. The area is excellent for having drinks in the night. The price is a little over "budget".

Too bad that there was a loud air shaft directly close to our windows. I would have expected a lower price for those rooms! I could still sleep using earplugs but it was quite annyoing even if we were offered to get a room where there was no air shaft.

Close to the gaslight and the convention center. Staff was friendly and helped me get to a meeting - made an out of the way trip to a place near the airport but hard to find. Has Wifi. Food available right off the lobby 24/7.

It's an old hotel remodeled more than once I am sure. small room - small shower (I didn't need a bath but there isn't one) but clean. Not too speedy of an elevator.

It was conveniently located, with free airport shuttle and the staff was friendly. Not too expensive.

It was alittle noisy during the night-Seems like we could hear everything out on the street.

It was located very close to the gaslamp district so that was a plus. I liked the old vintage feeling that they kept, from the original hotel. Everyone was super nice, friendly and very helpfull. I had a good experience here.

The location was excellent. In room safe appreciated. Front staff desk very courteous and friendly. Overall clean.

Available maps would have been nice. By the time I figured anything out I didn't have time to do those things (trolley, beach, Horton Shopping). The bathroom had no place for putting anything down. Was so small couldn't even brush my hair. Bathroom very run down and dated - needed a total gut. Windows had chicken wire and were painted over - very depressing. No "privacy" could hear every noise and movement in room next door. Very tiny room, glad I was by myself or would have been chaos. Gym was a closet with two pieces of equipment - not even usable. Offered up another place but 10 minute walk to get there! Stayed two nights but room was not serviced. Shuttle to airport was not available despite me having asked and called and booked in advance and no taxi chit was offered or agreed to. At the last minute they became available which was good but didn't feel like I was as important as other guests they claimed they needed to tend to. A lot of homeless people and smokers in the area.

The bathroom fixtures were old and needing updating. Air conditioner was also old and insert needed repair. Ceiling fan needed cleaning of blades.

Location

The room was rather "unkept" with a noisy a/c unit that kept me up all night with various noises. The room smelled of mold and the carpet felt rather dirty/gritty on bare feet. At least the bathroom was clean. The tv did not work for most channels and I heard everything from the room next door.

The location was excellent with bars and restaurants right outside the hotel. I liked the retro feel of the lobby and lift!

The room was very dated. We had issues with payment and the hotel ended up charging / pre-authorising our cards up 4 times in total. This was a mistake which they put right but the money was missing from our account for 4 days which is a problem when you are on a budget! At one point we were $2000 out of pocket. The same thing happened to our friends who were staying at the same time so watch out for this.

Nothing. In addition, they charged me for an extra night after my check out and did not return my money back claiming that I asked for an extension for one extra night which I request but did not confirm.

I like the location of the Hotel near the convention centre and having good conectivity othe rail and road system. Budget friendly and good house keeping.

The reception desk was unfrendly. The availability of already booked two room s for four persons, and four queen beds was not there. We were provided with one room with two beds and one room with single bed. But we were chagrged the same room rent of $1200 for six night. How do you explain this as our booking agent? We feel cheated by the booking agent as well as the Hotel management.

There is no double glassed windows that makes it not so comfortable when considered noise and cold.

We waited an hour for transport from the airport to hotel when they told us "15 to 20 mins". The room was the size of my closet and we asked them to supply a crib for us which took up any walking room. The lights were automatic sensored and when you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, they would turn on waking everyone up, including baby. There was a sink with no counter space. Our room was right over the bar/club outside, which was loud people most of the night. The elevators were "old fashioned" and you had to hold the door and the gate open in order to get in (which were heavy) and our stroller barely fit. The frige in the room cost extra money.

We are ages 28-34 and we liked the fact that it was right in the center or everything as far as night life. The restaurant "Brian's 24" amazing! Portions are huge and food is great and it's 24 hrs! The staff was nice and helpful. We went for night life, easy to walk everywhere, and to relax-we felt we go it.

The rooms were small and a regular room does not come with a microwave or a mini fridge. Valet parking is $20 a day (should be included in room charge maybe an extra 10$)

The hotel is Not good for staying at all and not recommend any one stay there. The front desk they don't listen to you at all. They check me out and check me in after two dates and they charge me again for advance payment on my visa without my notice and that's not my mistake. There is a lot of noise inside and out side hotel. The room is very poor and basic and not clean at all, when I get to the room the bed is not clean and there is some blood on bed I request room servies to change that and no one response to me I did not slept bed that night

The staff was polite and very prompt. Of course we loved the elevator! The rooftop is nice but should update the furnature and add some plants to give a more luxurious feeling. The windows in the bathroom was awesome!

Location was good.

1 Elevater was broke, so it took a long time to get to the 8th floor with only one working. Eventually moved rooms to the 1st floor. Tried to get a room with two double beds all week with no luck. Inquired at the front desk Thursday morning only to find out the room across the hall #110 was vacant. No attempt by mgmt to inform us or move us. Very frustrating.
