Breakfast as good. Beds were great, woman st desk night of check in was awesome and deserves kudos for customer service.
When we checked out the head maid was in our room before err git into cat and then decided my 4 yr old son's washable marker marks on the sheet was damaged property and charged me $12 . If I the my linen our every time my boss git them with something I had to bleach I'd have to be a millionaire. They said bleaching the sheets will turn yellow. So they figured I'd buy a new one cuz they don't bleach there whites
location and courtesy of staff at front desk..
breakfast was very poor. Dinning facilites were cramped and poor quality food.
The overall atmosphere of the room was delightful. The decor was surprisingly comforting.
Very misleading name. It was no where near the Maingate!! I thought I was across from park due to name and could walk, especially sine my wife suffer back problems, but "Maingate" motel was over a mile down the road. Not happy!
1. Breakfast is included, and they actually offer a pretty good spread. Coffee, OJ, apple juice, donuts/pastries, cereal, fruit, and a waffle iron. There's also an indoor area to sit and eat unlike at the ramada closer to Disney, where you have to sit outside by the pool to eat. 2. The room was very clean, no bugs or grossness lurking anywhere. 3. It is walking distance from Disney. Would I suggest walking from this hotel with small kids? Not so much. But if you're with only adults/older kids I think its alright, but it also depends on what season you visit/what time the park closes. For my boyfriend and I, it took about 20 minutes each way at a pretty brisk walking pace. The park closed at 8pm when we went, so after shopping and such we left around 8:45 to head back to the hotel. I don't really know how safe the surrounding area is, so perhaps not the best idea to make that walk back in the dark with young kids, especially if you're there til 10pm and after. Also, you do have to cross the freeway, and there are 2 parts where you cross the ramps where there is no traffic light. So keep that in mind. 4. The price is pretty good for what you get, definitely a lot cheaper than the ramada right across from Disney, or at least it was for our stay in mid november.
1. Check in took a really long time. Check in starts at 3pm...we arrived at about 5:30pm. After clicking around on the computer for a few minutes, the guy at the desk called somebody and told us he needed to figure out which room was ready so we didn't get a dirty room. Kind of confusing since you'd think by 5pm all available rooms should be clean...but who knows. Whoever he was waiting on never did show up, but after about 10-15 mins of waiting he finally gave us a room. 2. I always put up the "do not disturb" or "no housekeeping" sign on my door at hotels if I'm staying more than 1 night, because I generally don't stay in one hotel for more than 2, maybe 3 nights max, so I don't usually see it necessary for housekeeping to come in and clean up for me. Plus, I'd already asked for/got extra towels from the office, so I figured we didn't need anything and put the sign on our doorknob outside. I'm not trying to offend anybody in the hotel business or insinuate anything, but I just don't like strangers in the room with my things when I'm not there...we've all heard bad stories, I'm sure. So just to be safe I put the sign up and ask for things if I need them. Anyway, put the sign up, left for Disney the next morning, come back, aaand...the sign is gone from our door, and the room has been cleaned, including some of my things being moved. The sign was nowhere to be found in the room either, so I'm not exactly sure what went on. I doubt anyone would steal another room's door tag, so maybe they didn't see it/ignored it and then didn't give it back when they realized it was up just in case we complained. Nothing was missing or anything, but if a hotel gives you the option to not have someone enter your room and you exercise that option, it'd be nice if they actually paid attention to it. 3.
I could walk to convention center. Bus was at the corner. Carrow's in parking lot.
The pool wasn't heated. The "breakfast" was very poor. Uncooked oatmeal in cereal dispenser? It wasn't instant! No label on coffee pots (decaff) No protein (yogurt?)
Comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, especially Michelle who booked transport for us, nothing too much trouble. easy access to Disneyland, bus stop right outside hotel. Restaurant opposite hotel and also Sharkey's pizza 2 minute walk, delicious pizzas.
Basic breakfast, room can get very busy, needs more tables.
Close to park. Great view of the fireworks from the parking lot if you don't stay in the park to see them.. clean rooms. Standard breakfast.
Not enough parking when arriving late.
The Ramada was a decent hotel... Good for the price! The hotel is a very quick, $10 cab ride to/from Disneyland. From the outside it looks a little rough but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Pretty good view of the park's fireworks depending on where your room is located. There is also a diner in the same parking lot which was great considering the "breakfast" the hotel offered is fair at best! All in all, it was a pretty decent hotel. If you're looking for a fancy hotel, this isn't your place but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable room to stay in that's close to the park for reasonable place, the Ramada is just that :)
Accommodating Manager Richard. Friendly and smiling person. Easy to talk with. We all know that the check in time is @ 2:00 but Richard allowed us to check in early. Our room is awesome. We didn't expect we are on the corner side and love the king bed they gave us. I love the swimming pool -it's clean! Room setting arrangement is cool. I love the interior painting and design. Cozy. Well so far, Richard is a good and perfect guy we meet during our stay in your facility.
I got disappointed when I greeted "hello" and my husband said "Hola" to some of the room attendant that we met on the hallway. They seems they are not friendly at all. Not even wave or some response gesture---nothing at all. We travel many places and most of the person we have met in the hotel are friendly and smiling and we really felt comfortable and at happy and feel at home if we have that kind of environment. I think this what is missing on our stay. That's all.
Location from Disney and bus service
Clean room and we were close to Disneyland
Location was convenient for taking the bus to Disneyland. The staff was friendly and helpful. This place served its purpose which was showering, sleeping and getting to Disneyland.
Poor Wi-Fi connection. The towels were dingy and hard. The usual free breakfast if you like that type of food. What's wrong with the water? I went to make coffee but the water was too cloudy. I bought bottled water to rinse my mouth for brushing my teeth.
Good price and quite close to Disneyland Breakfast included Room was fine Free parking
No shuttle service to Disneyland Breakfast very simple
There wasn't much I liked about the hotel
It doesn't look like the pictures, the rooms r tiny, the bathrooms are tiny so is the tub, very noisy
There is a Disneyland shuttle to and from Ramada Maingate North (1 mile away from Disneyland). The cost is $5 per person per day.
There are 2 Ramada Maingate hotels. The one closest to Disneyland is called Ramada Maingate at the Park. The one that's at least a mile away is called Ramada Maingate North.
The room was clean and in good condition. Nice size fridge. Free wi-fi & parking. Beds were fine. Light cont. breakfast. We're at Dland early & then late, so we really just need a clean, safe, & decent place to sleep. For the price I was very pleased, we'd stay again.
Room was a little on the small size. No elevator.
I liked that the room had a mini fridge and microwave. I liked the wi fi connection.
The carpet in the room was extremely dirty. Further from Disneyland than I realized. Walking back from Disneyland we almost got ran over from the traffic entering the highway we had to cross to get back to hotel. The breakfast room was fine but don't expect any variety other than carbs- (breads, waffles, donuts, more bread.)
Great location to Disneyland and could see fire works for pool and our requested room
Not enough parking
It is a nice hotel , near to Disney land , in good weather you can walk to there. The staff was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.
The hair dryer was not working
