Roaches in the room. Quite disgusting.
The whole place is super dirty
Better then expected for the price I paid.
Close to downtown, $50 per night!
Stained sheets, cockroaches, fridge running constantly, bedside lights not working.
the room was occupied had to get another room then there were roaches and the overall cleanliness was bad only had one towel no wash clothes
Nothing at all.
I had read the reviews but i didn't listen and I should have. When we checked out was the best part of my stay. When we first got to out room at 6 PM it was dirty, as if someone had just checked outta there. But that's not the worst thing there was a baggie of white powder just on the dresser. I called the manager right away, he came and said it was baking soda.... but he would give us the king suite for our troubles. That room was at least clean and we got excited when we saw the jacuzzi tub.... yea the "jets" on the tub had less power then a drizzle. We stayed 2 nights. Day2 after a long day of shopping we returned to our room at 10 PM only to find out our room wasn't cleaned it was just how we left it, not even clean towels. I went dowe and the night manager said to me when I asked why my room wasn't cleaned " you should've have told me sooner" I asked for some towels and he said all he had was 1 clean one left. That night a couple from a few doors down got into a loud fight my wife called the front desk to complain and was told the cops were called 2 hours ago. Not sure where the blame goes but figured I'd put it on here.
The hotel is very close to dwontown and it's cheap, with breakfast included.
One morning there was nothing for breakfast and the staff didn't care. The bathroom was dirty.
The motel felt and looked very shabby. Our room had cockroaches and the room in total felt very dirty. We only came in around midnight, so we stayed for one night, but cancelled the rest of the week right away. The staff was not interested in why we would cancel or anything. At breakfast there was nothing really left when we came and no one made an attempt to serve at least some toast or muffins. Besides the bed experience with the motel itself, I have to add that the motel is situated in a bad area. You should rather look for a motel further north or closer to downtown. At the end we stayed at the Travelodge Alamo/Riverwalk which cost nearly the same but was of way better quality.
When we checked out.
Room was really old, curtains not hanging off window properly, lamp had fallen apart, some type of liquid running down the wall, toilet was not fixed properly to the floor, felt intimidated about using the pool it looked liked the gardener was cooling his legs in it.
Horrible...roaches all over the place in the rooms...ac did not work in 4 rooms....bed bugs....
Very dirty place.
1. The room was neat and orderly. 2.The AC was turned on prior to us arriving. 3. The hotel was a convient distance from my workshop. 4. The cost was reasonable.
1. The POOL looked like MOSS was growing on the bottom; it was a DARK MERKY GREEN color and often had a yellow hue to it after kids played in it. Disappointing after a long day sightseeing or even working, also a health hazard. 2. The paint was peeling in the bathroom. 3. The water in the shower of the HC room would go all over the restoom floor making it a slipping hazard. 4. The Breakfast area was not cleaned periodically and presentable during the breakfast time. People would make a mess and the staff didn't clean it up completely... I could see things still there the next day. 5. The food prepped (danishes, donuts etc) were cut up for the next day to use and sat out causing them to be hard and crusty. The Clerk came to replace the bread in the trays and used his bare hand to handle the food. He came out from behind the counter and I never saw him wash his hands or put gloves on. 6. One morning we went to eat, and the desk clerk had some music video on the TV that showed girls kissing 1/2 naked girls while swaying to music.. worst of all there were children in the lobby eating as well... we asked the clerk to change the channel and he turned it off. 7. Our third day we had to request towels then we also had to ask for our room to be picked up... arrived on Saturday and Wednesday they came. 8. Someone had an accident on the side walk in front of the rooms and left blood. The staff never came to clean it up. It dried in the sun. 9. A lot of taxes were assessed on the room. San Antonio should be ashamed.
The price and the customer service
But room wasn't ready didn't have anything you can use everything didn't get clean either.
The location was close to a local friend's residence
Towels and sheets were dirty. The ironing board was too dirty to use No coffee pot in room Bugs
Everytime The Cleaning Lady Cleaned Our Room It Would Deactivate Our Card And We Couldn't Get Back In Our Room!!! This Happened Everyday That Where There! Also The First Day We Checked In, The Cleaning Lady Knocked On Our Door And Said We Haven't Paid Yet So We Had To Go Up To The office!!! Poor Communication! She Barely Understood English So When I Kept Telling Her I Did She Wouldn't Take It And Told Me To Go Pay!!!! I Was So Angry!!! Then The Day We Were Checking Out Our Door Locked On Us And We Couldn't Get Back In To Get The Rest Of Our Stuff!!! Got The Owner And He Couldn't Even Open It!!! Said Something Was Wrong With The Door, Then He Decided To Open The Door By Sliding His Card Through The Cracked Between The Door And Boom!!!! It Opened!!! If It Was That Easy To Open It, We Possibly Could Of Got Broken Into And Steal All Of Our Stuff!!!! Hated This Hotel And The Service!!! Would Not Recommend It To Anyone!!!!!
Cockroaches, the desk clerks, the looks of the place all around nasty!
Location was close to downtown
There was roaches and the ac did not have any nobs to adjust the temp. There were holes in the showers and the rooms were half painted. They gave two towels for four people and two pillows. The phones only worked if you were calling the front desk not room to room. Blow dryer had hair in it. The keys barely worked and you almost had to break the door down to enter the room.
Staff was nice. Told us were to go see things.
First there was water in front of our door from the ice machine all the days we stayed there. The pool look clean the day we got there but the last day it look nasty like they weren't cleaning it. It look like it was getting filtered. Our towel rack was just hanging on the wall. They didn't fix it properly. The breakfast area want big enought.
Nothing pool ph level unsafe room 226 door hard to close pillows stained, dirty shower, handle broken, shower didnt work properly, coffee maker broken. 216 room dirty pillows and bedding sheets, electrical wire to lamp exposed to children major hazard. Iron wire cut 204 room door handle broke off when i closed the door, no appliances, pillows stained, parking lot full of trash and a collection of old cabinets this place needs to get inspected by the city. Breakfast wasn't the best we found dead roaches on the floor and counter top. This place gives Howard Johnson a bad name.
The staff tried to fix the many issues our room had.
When we arrived two hours after check in time our rooms were not ready so they switched our room to a room that had a broken air conditioner. They then moved us a third time to a room with no towels and a broken fridge. The room had bugs in it and all the sheets and towels were stained. Our sink leaked everywhere and the cold water wouldn't turn off. The pool was also bad due to the fact that the chemicals were thick and the temperature was like bath water.
Near to downtown
Poor facility Filthy room Not gated
I had no working phone, the toilet had to be flushed several times just to get paper down, the towels were so thin that I was still wet after toweling, the remote control did not work, but, most of all were the roaches in my room. They tried to fix all the issues but, had no success with getting rid of the roaches. I was totally surprised that this was a Wyndham hotel.
