I liked the location, cleanliness, and the staff.
Room was not ready at check in time, 3:00 PM.
Dirty walls, Lights fixtures Room was not clean properly - there were items on floor from previous guest Strong smell of bleach
I liked our room in general and the location.
Towards the end of our stay.. We had no electricity. Luckily it happened towards the very end but it was still an inconvenience.
Customer Service is great, the room is very clean and the bed is very confortable.
The swimming pool doesn't look like the picture . . . is green and very unpleasant to view.
The place was clean and comfortable, with new furnishing and a comfortable bed. And the price was very reasonable.
Didn't have a machine with water.
The pool was green. The rooms were soooooo dirty... Never again will I stay here.
This is a motel with fresh paint and Ramada signage. The rooms and parking are far from the street so it's quiet and feels safe. For $80 a night in January I wasn't expecting fancy, just clean. The rooms are updated, beds very comfortable. No smells of old smoke. Breakfast was minimal ( cold cereal, toast, yogurt, bananas, hard boiled eggs) room is very small. We decided to walk 10 minutes down Water Street to Petes Coffee and Noah's Bagels. The best thing about this motel is the proximity to the shops & restaurants on Front and Pacific St. Just a short drive to Santa Cruz Boardwalk and UCSC, and far enough from freeway to feel safe.
They charged my debit card an additonal $100 upon check-in, stating it was "policy" even though this was not indicated in the Booking.com rsvn. I have to wait several days for my refund. The pictures are misleading--the pool was green with alga and looked really bad. It may be off season but either clean or cover the pool. Floors in our upstairs room felt very thin, noisy as we walked. I can only imagine how bad it is on ground floor. A few questionable people in the area but this is Santa Cruz--plenty of drifters. Overall our stay was fine.
It was in a convenient location. The rooms were clean.
The management was in over his head and it took about a half hour to check in. People were complaining about there not being enough hot water, and the tv went out. Breakfast was a disaster area.
It's was An ok facility . I liked how they weren't nosie..
The WiFi connection was weak
Room was clean and bed good. Clean shower.
Not to crowded but the manager booked some loud people next to us. Did not sleep. Hot water slow. No clock working. TV was wide screen but just old analog picture mainly shop channels.
No hassle, accesibility, reasonable price
Bed was comfortable Close to shops
No soap in the room Ants running around in the bathroom Only two large towels in the bathroom paid too much
Rooms and bathroom were small. At the time we went to have breakfast there was hardly anything. Only Waffles. They did not even have bread to make a toast and no milk, yogurts, basically nothing. Rooms very small would not stay here again.
It was quiet and clean and the maids were real helpful
Can't think of anything bad to say really enjoyed my stay
The room is small. As matter of fact, it is nothing more than a small mortal. For $110 a night or $125 include tax on 11/1, it is very limited.
Breakfast wasn't that good. Several guests coming in and out looked and acted drunk and with very little clothing on. Not coming back to this place.
The photos of the facilities looked nice online and the lady at the front desk was nice.
The room was way overpriced for the condition it was in. The walls, door & knobs and floors were filthy. The sink & shower were grimy and there was a pubic hair on one of the "clean" towels. Bedspread had stains on it and when we removed the dirty bedspread we found what appeared to be rodent excrement on the sheets. The pool had sand all over the bottom of it and there was trash floating on top of the water. Thank God I travel with Lysol. This place has potential and could be great if it was properly maintained.
My family and I went on a mini vacation for my husband's birthday. After looking online, I decided to book this hotel for the price which was fair considering that they provide breakfast and have a pool. I was pleased with breakfast, which included fresh waffles that you can make yourself, along with the usual continental breakfast items. The room wasn't too fancy but it got the job done, we watched a little t.v. and it was quiet. The pool was clean and we enjoyed swimming in it. It took us around 30 minutes to walk to the boardwalk, but we had our 5 year old daughter with us. Good location. We would revisit this hotel in the future.
I thought the price for Saturday night was a bit too pricey. Also the staff came to clean up breakfast right at 9:30. We were trying to enjoy ourselves and felt a little rushed both days. They told us that breakfast is available from 7:30-9:30 but on vacation we want to sleep in a bit!
Bed was comfortable.
Bathroom was horrible, tub had a major crack in it. I felt we were going to fall through it when we showered and the non smoking room smelt like smoke. I wouldn't go back.
upgraded and updated decor. clean. easy access and parking. great breakfast and wifi connection. short walk to town and sea
The price, the staff, and the updated decor.
The bed was miserably uncomfortable. The mattress springs creaked when sitting on the it and poked my ribs when trying to sleep. The room stunk of cigarette smoke. My things still smell like smoke.
The upkeep and hospitality was great. Our bed was amazingly comfortable. If you love a peaceful quiet setting this would be the place for you.The breakfeast waffles along with all the other goodies topped it off.I will definitely come back. Thanks Ramada.
I liked everything.
Prompt check-in. Breakfast was decent. Pool looked nice, but we didn't use.
Very stark, dismal, dark, depressing room. We normally avoid chain hotels, but the few we've stayed at in past were much nicer. And it was $200! terrible value!
The room smell bad I think the carpet need a clean up . The water in the sink did not drained . The bed looks clean but the pillows smell. The pool . At the floor in side the pool look dirty black stuffs don't know what it is so I did not go in . ..
