Holiday Inn O'Hare Area    

Friendly, accommodating, welcoming staff. Excellent restaurant (food and service). Great location.

My colleague was checked into a room that was already occupied upon her arrival, and when I arrived, my room was still being cleaned. Just seemed like a bit of communication between desk and staff was a bit off.

The interest of the front desk in my business in Chicago and there assistance in forwarding it.

I should have ordered something different at the restaurant.

Proximity to Rosemont Entertainment district and O'Hare airport

Kind of a cold neighborhood, totally dependent on auto to see or do anything.

It was March and surrounding area looked gray and dirty, but imagine as Spring and Summer arrives grass will be green, city sidewalks and streets will be cleaned.

Free parking and proximity to rapid transit.

No directions how to efficiently and safely walk to rapid transit. Access road is in deplorable state of repair.

The Price

The location is very near to the airport and is good for us to catch the flight on the next day morning and they do provide the bus shuttle. The restaurant Bar Louie serve very nice lunch and dinner, I miss the food so much.

Room and shower room clean and comfortable. Bar/ restaurant were well presented and modern. Close to airport and transport links, bus and train.

Shuttle bus.....45 Minutes isn't often enough when it's below freezing....also was longer than 50 minutes that we were waiting. Other hotels in area run buses 2 or 3 times more often.

Great staff , I enjoyed the hotel and its facilities loved the free parking , and the blue line train station is a 7 minute walk from the hotel , it takes you 25 minutes to to city center , I bought a three day pass for 14 dollars

Breakfast I found expensive

Due to Hurricane Sandy we were unable to fly to Philly. I chose this hotel simply from reviews/location. We were very impressed with the entire experience however, we cannot say enough about your front desk employee Dove. She is one of the nicest, most knowledgeable, comforting person we have ever encountered while on vacation. I don't think there was anything else she could have done for us. The other front desk employees were also helpful and the waitresses in Louie's were a lot of fun. What a great experience at a time of uncertainty.

Very friendly and helpful staff at Front Desk, clean and big room with all comfort. Easy to get downtown Chicago by train of Blue Line, station just 5 minutes away, in walking distance. Would always recommend this hotel!

I selected this hotel as it was close to the airport and also next to the blue line train station for easy travel to Chicago's city centre. The bar area was lively and bar food food was good.

The room was poorly serviced with some old food from the previous occupants being left in the fidge despite being reminded. The buffet breakfast was a little chaoitic, with a continual shortage of breakfast dishes etc.

I had to pay 400.00 for the night due to a big conference in town so is why i rated poor value. I'm unaware of the rate otherwise:)

Somewhere to eat and somewheer to sleep, perfect

Would have liked to have used the pool but it was out of action.and looked to have been for a long time.

The staff accomadated our every need. They were great!

The bathroom wasn't cleaned well. There was other people's hair everywhere. (Trust me. It resembled ours in no way.) It really made our level of comfort in our room uneasy. We had to question how good our overall room was cleaned.

Location is excellent. We picked up some family at O'Hare next day. It took us 9 minutes from the hotel to the O'Hare economy parking lot.

The price and short distance from public transit were plusses.

We went to check in at 3:15ppm (check-in begins at 3) and were told our room was not ready. I had gotten quite sick that day and my wife was very tired. We were looking forward to being able to lay down for a bit. We had to wait a half-hour before we spoke with a different employee who gave us a different room.

The front desk staff was very friendly from the second we walked in. We checked in late on July 6th and the 2 young men working were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The room service food was way above average in taste and portion size and I would order again any day. The room was perfect and had zero problems.

The soda vending machines only took credit cards and some were broken and weren't accepting anything. We had to go to a couple different floors to find what we wanted.

The hotel was within walking distance of the Blue Line Train. We parked our vehicle at the hotel and did all of our travel this week via the train. Staff was always cleaning and maintaining the hotel. (Sealing blacktop and painting). It shows that they care how the hotel looks. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We were close to the airport traffic and freeway, but didn't hear either from our room.

Pool was closed. Usually opens Memorial Day but for some reason it was not filled up. It was cool the week we were there, so we didn't miss it. They did have a sign stating this at check-in, so it was not a surprise.

1) Noisy refrigerator 2) Air cooler was not effective

We chose this hotel only due to the fact that our flight arrived into Chicago at 0130 in the morning and this hotel was so close to O'Hare Airport that we could get to bed quickly after flying for 28 hours and not need to travel right into the city at this time of the morning. Oh and Breakfast in the cafe in the morning was massive and great value fo money!
