Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We had a toilet issue.....but it was taken care of right away. The carpet was vacuumed.....but really needed to be cleaned.
The staff was Really nice providing directions whenever we needed
The room had an uncomfortable smell
Fast WiFi and regular, prompt airport shuttle
No elevator. We had 5 bags to carry up external staircase, two of which were very heavy.
The rooms were very comfortable and great breakfast.
Public transportation in Phoenix makes it difficult for a tourist. Had to depend on the hotel shuttle a lot. While the manager in the morning was understanding of the situation the female manager in the evening was not sympathetic at all. She made us two females to walk 2.5 miles in the cold December night on our first day ever in Phoenix to the closest pick up point. She was also not very friendly. Erica was not a good ambassador for Holiday Inn and Phoenix.
The room smelled terrible. It was very very dirty and the bathroom floor was missing tile and grout. The msn at the front desk did not speak English thus very difficult to communicate. He did say he couldn't get the billing on the computer right but would try again in the morning
Distance from airport
Smell, Poor breakfest, Door card did not work 2'nd time This is 1 star motel with price of 3 stars
Breakfast is more like a continental breakfast from the 70s. Coffee, juice and some sugar loaded mini muffin. We even had to ask for the muffin and the staff made faces that they had to spend 10 cents on our breakfast and put out 3 more mini muffins. Nothing else for breakfast.
Over all say was ok. Room ok for the price we paid.
The staff was horrible. They expected me to clean up a sink that was over flowing due to other rooms. They literally gave me rags and told me to put a trash can by the sink.
It was quite comfortable and convenient.
We liked how easy it was to access the literail. The woman at the front desk was very helpful. Can't go wrong with waffles and fresh fruit for breakfast
I don't think the area is the best, but for $60.00 who can complain
Cockroaches in bathroom cleaning staff said that was no big deal we did not use room & they refused to refund payment
the rooms smell very bad. so old.
Excellent value for money and location close to the airport with a shuttle. Comfortable bed, good lighting in the bathroom and vanity area, microwave and fridge in room. Continental breakfast included.
Sole receptionist was on the phone for several minutes while I waited to check in. Had to lug suitcases up stairs to second level. Breakfast only until 9am even on a weekend
Front desk staff were incredibly rude.
Close to airport.:
No free parking even though website said it was free. Desk not helpful. Breakfast not s appealing.
Location, value and ease of on line reservations.
It was close to the airport. Found a toe nail under the edge of the bed. Was clean in general the lady working the night I arrived was very nice I would have given her an excellent rating.
The toe nail and the manager I believe he could use some customer service skills. I think having coffee in the Lobby would be a plus. He said I needed to go to a more expensive hotel if I wanted coffee they only had coffee until 10 a.m. I guess Howard Johnson's is a cheap place.
Comfortable beds and clean and close to airport for early departures.
Free breakfast was lacking in fruit, yogurt, cream for coffee and had poor selection of breads
we arrived late after a 9 hour drive, the facilities weren't to my liking so we decided to relocate the following morning, the manager refused to give me a refund.
Close to airport Very early breakfast (from 4:30am) - perfect if jet-lagged
Room was clean but a little run down in appearance
Surprisingly nice facility for the price.
No staff at front desk for a long time. No response to my email as to specifics on airport shuttle.
Really big king-sized comfy bed, free airport shuttle (to be clear, it picks up from airport once every 15 minutes but it picks up from the hotel only once an hour...timing worked out ok for us though.)
Due to some confusion between the hotel and booking.com, the hotel had actually booked me in to come on an earlier date and had me listed as a no-show, despite my paperwork proving otherwise. They were nice about it and still had a room for us anyway. When we opened the door to our room, we were horrified. The place had a musty-smokey smell even though our rom was non-smoking. The lock on the door was barely hanging on. The room had a mish-mash of furniture and electronic equipment from different eras. I have no idea how they achieved 3* quality- this is much more like a 1.5 or 2 star hotel. When we arrived at our suite later that evening, our neighbours were already half-in-the-bag. People were entering and exiting the room next door all night and yelling at each other. it made us question what kind of hotel/patrons stay here and what their intentions are. Since the walls were paper thin we heard it all. When we checked out at 4a.m. they were still laughing and yelling at each other. We stayed in the hotel for less than 12 hours but we really should have just stayed at the airport. It would have been quieter, cheaper and probably safer.
Good stay good access good breakfast excellent personnel
Once you are there you must stay put.
The staff was great food excellent
I found a bug in the bathroom
My reservation couldn't be found and the front desk agent needed a lesson in customer service. The rooms aren't very clean, the floors are uneven and the walls are paper thin. The shuttle isn't very convenient as it is actually the parking shuttle, not from the hotel, and the "breakfast" was a joke. Next time I won't be so quick for a cheaper rate. Better pay a little more for a decent hotel.
