Size of room, food was good but service was poor, really enjoyed the shuttle service to the mta, overall cleanliness of the hotel and rooms.
Water pressure for shower was terrible, breakfast was overpriced and terrible quality.
location/elevator service stop at night
Got upgraded to a large room with a view of the city. Clean comfy beds, staff were friendly and very helpful. The shuttle bus service was excellent and very useful in the rain although it was no more than 10min walk to Queensboro plaza station or 15min down to Vernon blvd. staying more than 2 or 3 days then would highly recommend buying an unlimited 7day metro card! Well worth it.
Paying for wifi is a joke, got free wifi in Starbucks and most metro stations. Shower head fixed to the wall is a bit of a pain!
Great place and value for money. Big, comfortable rooms and a great view over Manhattan (if you aren't on the bottom two floors)
free wifi in rooms would be great
I stayed in the King Penthouse. The room had a private balcony with patio furniture overlooking the entire midtown Manhattan skyline. That alone was worth the price of the room. I had been nervous because of other reviews, but did not see what all the fuss was about. I was on the 5th floor under the club on a Saturday night and was not kept awake (although I did fall asleep with the TV on). The area is industrial and somewhat desolate but I walked there alone at night from the subway without any problems. People spoke of scruff mark on the floor and chips in the furniture. This is not a brand new hotel so, of course, there is going to be wear and tear. It did not affect the overall experience in the least. Again, the view itself is worth the stay!!!
The restaurant was more of a nightclub even at 8:00 pm. Very noisy and not many tables available for dining. I had to eat at the bar. Drinks are very expensive ($17 martinis) but that may be due to the proximity to Manhattan.
Excellent views from room... Only 5stops on train to times sq
Not the easiest place to find ..even taxi's struggled. Very High priced drinks at hotel bar.loud music as it was also a club.
The rooftop bar with views of manhattan skyline Comfortable rooms & bed Coffee machines in room Shuttle service to Proximity to manhattan with excellent value for money
We had asked for a room with a view as we were on honeymoon and unfortunately had a view of car park Breakfast could have had more on offer Wine machines in lobby were out of order
Excellent pricing, great staffs, the room was comfortable and 10-15 min walk to the queens plaza line.
I didn't like the location of the hotel. It was very hard to sleep in during the morning due to cars passing by and sirens from the city. It could be fixed if they installed sound proof windows. Needed more lighting in the room.
You cannot even find hotel. Searching for it because of lack of signage made me late to my event that evening. I have been there to eat at the rooftop and i was expecting a much higher quality in the rooms. They were dingy. They said they upgraded us to a double queen room rather than a king room (not sure how thats an upgrade.) the lighting was so poor it was difficult to get ready in bathroom or bedroom. The bathroom door swung right into the toilet and we had to struggle to get into toilet area which is not acceptable. Wont likely go back.
Room was clean-housekeeping was good.
Music until all hours of the morning; loud-Music again Thanksgiving night thou we were told the "club" was closed. Location was odd; no one told us about breakfast. Bathtub in the middle of the room?? No privacy WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!!!
Free shuttle, free parking Subway nearby, very convenient to get to manhattan. Excellent staff. Good breakfast. Good restaurants within the area. Felt safe. Modern hotel. They upgraded our room upon arrival.
The only thing I can say is there's a dance club upstairs, which we could hear the bass from our hotel room. We were on the 3rd floor. However we were so tired from visiting Manhattan every day that it didn't bother us we slept through it. We did mention it to the staff on the way out, they were aware of the situation and they plan on rectifying it. Overall would recommend to stay here!!!
The location which is so convenient to Manhattan made it easy to take a car service across the 58th St Bridge to a club to celebrate my Birthday! The room was beautiful (thank you George) and I will most definitely be coming back.
Location, friendly and efficient staff. Very clean hotel. Affordable hotel price for a New York trip.
The room was very nice and sexy, and very quiet. Nice for a romantic getaway.
Half of the staff was very pleasant the other half of the staff was very rude and uncaring. I had to wait while the front desk finished her personal phone call to ask a question. Waited for a few minutes before anyone at the front would acknowledge you.
Bed was comfy. Bathroom area so pretty. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Horrible parking lot. Valet was eating in the guest cars.
No Wifi Anywhere
Nice size room, good bed
Location is not ideal (subway 10 min walk), loud noises from Penthouse bar during weekends, maintenance of hotel not great
I was given upgrade. Complimentary shuttle at certain hours to train stations. Nice queen superior room.
Hall and common areas not nice; paid wifi; breakfast basic offer; executive king rooms at ground floor with access direct from parking lot and view on the sidewalk; no in-room breakfast or dining.
Nice room (Upgrade to executive Room) with impressive Bathroom and loads of design Huge Minibar Free Shuttle to Subway
Noise from the rooftop bar until after 3 am made sleeping on FR and SAT night very difficult; complained to front desk who didn't care Wifi @9,95/day rather costly Long walk to subway and shops/restaurants
Fantastic location! The hotel shuttle runs often and takes you to local restaurants and the subway. The room was clean and the bed was great. Our view was also amazing. Definitely returning to this hotel :)
- Shuttle to the subwaystation - Big beds and rooms - Big baghroom
- Very very loud at the weekend nights. There is a club on the rooftop and you can even hear it by closed windows!!
Breathtaking view of the city at night from the open rooftop restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room beat my expectations as was very big, excellent bathroom, clean, modern, comfy beds. Free frequent transfers to nearer subway station. Easy commute into city. Good breakfast on offer.
It is quite a walk from the nearest subway (didn't know we could have called for them to pick us up).
The gym facility Carpet and room did not offer clean atmosphere
The staff were excellent, shuttle bus service was excellent, view from roof top bar when allowed to go to it.
Location was rundown, poor breakfast ,not been able to access roof top bar due to weddings. The yard bar was just a shed!!!
