It's a little loud because of it's proximity to the highway, duh. The condition of the building is deteriorating, which doesn't bother me but I think that's what people are commenting on when they're saying it's dirty or disgusting. Like for instance, there was some water damage in the ceiling of the bathroom. Personally, that doesn't bother me. I want a clean bed and a clean shower and they had both.
It's located conveniently right off of the interstate. The room, beds and bathroom were all very clean and well stocked. There was a very large mini fridge with separate freezer, a coffee pot, microwave and iron and ironing board! I've never seen that many combined amenities in a discount hotel room before. The internet service worked quickly and never faltered. The room was inexpensive. I would definitely stay here again. Oh yeah, I also wanted to mention that the mattresses and box springs are covered with a protective cover, which was a little plasticy feeling, but I was thankful to know they were concerned enough about maintaining the cleanliness of the mattresses to take that extra step. Whenever I'm traveling, and especially near NYC, I get super vigilante about bed bugs and I didn't have to worry about that at all at the Red Carpet Inn.
