Red Carpet Inn and Suites - Gastonia  

I believed the staff were friendly, but were also either not trained or were told to restrict information from travelers about the past history of the property. This inn offered what I expected in terms of towels--1 small and thin... but it was clean. The sheets and 2 pillows on the bed appeared clean. When I booked I expected the property to be modest.

I am motivated to provide you with information because for the 1st time in my life as a tourist, I felt unsafe. I have traveled many places, staying in smaller hotels, inns and BnBs. I am not picky. Attention is needed to managing this property, and you as a booking agency also need to know because you were the initial portal--my bad experience influences when/how I will use your service. The door to room #158 at this motel had been tampered with--the door no longer fit into the jam closely. The adjacent window drapes had either bullet or knife holes.

Terrible staff. Terrible rooms. "Lost" my booking.com reservation and made me a new one at a higher price and would not honor my previous reservation. Dirty filthy rooms. Holes in walls. Falling in floors. Was threatened to be thrown out for complaining too much. Had bees and a bad odor in room. Refused to give me a different room. Place should be bulldozed.
