Bed was rock hard and sleep was nearly impossible.
Facilities were kept clean as were room conditions.
The motel is located right on the edge of the infamous Tenderloin district, so no walking around after dark and avoid Eddy St. at all times. Just go a block or two up North to avoid the shadier streets when walking towards Union Square and everything should be okay. All of San Francisco has this problem, so you can't really escape it anywhere.
Large room with new furniture, comfortable bed, lots of towels provided, good bathroom facilities, very clean. The owner is a nice and straightforward lady. Free parking, elevator. Great value for money, within walking distance of Union Square and BART, it's a real bargain especially considering overall housing prices in San Francisco.
styaff was friendly and helpful
Location is in the Tenderloin so be aware. We had no problems. The free parking is a major benefit if you have a rental car.
At night there are a lot of "stranges" people around the hotel, not good idea go around at night
King size bed is really good and the rooms are clean
The staff was friendly, and the rooms were very clean. I liked that you had to be rung in to get into the building, it made me feel very safe and secure at night. Quite and calm.
The wifi was very slow. No fridge, hair dryer or ironing facilities in the room.
Great location. Within walking distance of most attractions 1-2miles we didn't take a bus but there are many bus routes surrounding the motel. Staff are so friendly and helpful they have a lot of knowledge of the area and helped us plan our days of sightseeing. Room is clean and comfortable.
All rooms seem to face the street, which can be busy at times
Hugh and neutrally decorated room, free parking space
The people were rude and charged us more then they were supposed to, and when we called to find out why, they were rude and told me to go through my bank because they were not going to do anything about it. The parking was horrible, you had to lock it in a garage below with no way to access it unless you went to the office for them to in lock it!! No refrigerator or microwave in the room. We stayed in 10 hotels on our trip and this would have to be at the bottom 3. Would not recommend it to my dog!
The room was roomy!!
People fighting on the street outside. Drunks asking for money outside. The guy with no pants on the street outside. Wouldn't feel comfortable walking around area with family.
Close to but routes.
The room had a arre smell,it was like someone was smoken near by.
Nice staff, Very helpfull
Room facing the road was so noisy as this is a 24 hour super noisy area.
Bed was really comfy. Staff very helpful
Immaculately clean and comfortable beds; good location - easy access from 101 and short walk from opera/concerts; 10-15 min walk to Union Sq; free parking
We could not connect to the free wifi at any point.
The location is great, yes there are some interesting people but it was not dangerous and they only add to the unique experience of San Francisco. The rooms are large and clean and the staff was very friendly. Add the low price and it's proximity to Brenda's (creole-style food across the street at reasonable prices) and you can't go wrong - I know I will stay here again!
Bums yelling in the street. Sirens.
Close to everything
Awesome hosts - very helpful in explaning layout of city, how to get to places, places to eat at, streets nearby to avoid.
A little bit of street noise but that's expected when you're staying in the city.
Very close to pretty much everything. Can walk to Union Square, China Town, Fisherman's Wharf. Free parking and secured building (have to press a button to gain access to motel). Definitely feel safe in this buildin. Cable TV also.
A bit basic but also not expensive so value for money
Liked - Staff, location just outside downtown and bus stop direct to downtown 30 seconds away. Eating and daily shopping close by.
Location is a bit scary. No AC.
The staff made it much better. Glad they had onsite parking. It was a secured building.
Location...we were on 2nd floor when you looked down small side street. ..several transients. .drugs..noise. ..sirens seems like all night. Every time you enter the hotel you have to get buzzed in....considering the area one can understand why....just felt too restrictive.
Close to Fisherman's wharf. Room was clean very basic. No coffee maker,no iron, no hair dryer. 2 full sized beds 3 chairs t.v. that's it.
Not the greatest neighborhood: car window was smashed overnight, and you must "buzz in" to gain entry into the building.
The room was incredibly clean and the staff was friendly. It was totally affordable and there is free on-site parking!
A lot of homeless people in the area, but that is a general problem in the city. Don't walk to much at night, use buses or taxis.
Privete and free car Parking! San francisco center is hard to park, so its really good to have a space there! really close to one of the best places to have brunch, Brendas! close to the cable car stop and shoping at square park. Bus hop on,hop off comes to our street!
The room could be more welcoming. If a guest requests a balcony I would think the lodge would inform them its little more expensive and suggust if they would like to upgrade. Cause if I knew the queen rm didn't have a balcony we would have upgraded our room to have one.
Love the location so close to Haight Street.
Area isn't the best, but I would still stay here again
Location is good to walk to Union Square, staff is super friendly, rooms very basic, no hair dryer though.
