I loved that you had to be buzzed in , not just anyone Can walk in.
Their was no ac
we stayed only one night, but this was great. This hotel was spotless, the staff very accomidating and friendly. Free wi-fi and free parking. Would stay there again.
there was nothing I didn't like
Central location, spacious room, security camera and buzzer before entering the building and they had a hairdryer that you can borrow!
Noisy, a bit of a draft from below the door, not warm enough, and sketchy area beyond the hotel on Eddy Street.
The room was spacious and that was all. No hair dryer. The water pressure in the shower was like more dripping than showering. Window curtains were old, stained. And Tenderloin district is not an attractive area of Frisco at all.... I have a lot (of bad things) to say about this motel but the most turn-off thing was Mrs...(whatever her name was) was rather rude. She was such a grumpy old woman! It was painful just to think of her sour attitude!
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and free parking!
Little distant from a lot of the places I wanted to go and the area is a little weird at night but it is SF so......
The property is near lots of attractions. The free parking and wi-fi made the package that much more appealing. The room was immaculate.
The location, a couple blocks east of Van Ness, is a little iffy. But if you stay aware of your surroundings, you won't have any problems.
The rooms were clean and very well equiped with towels and toiletries.
The neighborhood was a bit noisy at some nights.
The staff was great! Very friendly and helpful.
The neighborhood is sketchy after dark. Yes it is the Tenderloin, but it is fairly close to Van Ness and businesses, walking around after dark can be scary if you are not used to it. The bed could use a topper or something because they were not very comfortable. There were no extra blankets available in the room so we had to run the heater.
Cleanliness, Rent fee, Good Staff, Security within Hotel.
Location is not good enough. Crime rate of that area is more and can't roam freely outside by walk, even after 7pm. Bathroom had only shower and not pipe facility.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Chocolate treats on checkout are a nice bonus. I stay here on every visit to S.F. I enjoy the proximity to Bart/Muni, good restaurants in the area. This is a great value.
TV reception could have been better.
* It was located close to the BART station and Market street lines, and very near to the event site I was going to. * Yes, the neighborhood is a bit dodgy.... but I found some nice places not yet gentrified and very welcoming. This site is next to the "class-line" with businesses of a "upper-sense" along Van Ness Blvd. and a breakfast place with "English-style" dishes and a Vietnamese fusion shop within the tenderloin section. * The overall site was clean and pleasant looking. For the price, and if you don't expect much in perks (like coffee machine, etc), you can see it as a solid place to stay.
* I was met by a elder who seemed to be on the wrong side of the "web." She set the tenor of my stay: I didn't cherish the thought of asking for much help after that. * The crack beneath the door that allowed a breeze slightly less than that which the homeless outside were dealing with that night. I eventually placed towels against the crack which allowed some of the heat (which one couldn't adjust above 70 or so) to stay inside...and I was able to keep warmer than prior to... * The two chairs in the room worked better as a slide than as a tool to sit and work. As I wanted to do some writing I found it necessary to find a coffeehouse to do so... * The walls had scuff marks on them...minor I suppose but when it is one of the first things you see....
Easy to get everywhere, and plenty of good food and drink just steps away
Every place I needed to go was within walking distance, shopping, dining, gym, and entertainment. Didn't have to use public transportation. Hotel was very secure, extremely clean and well maintained. I would book it again.
Could have an iron a board and a coffee machine on room.
This is a place to sleep, period. The price is right and free parking saves you about another $30 to $50 a night. Location is on the edge of a dodgy neighborhood, but that doesn't matter because you are going to get back in your car and drive someplace cool.
Parking Friendly staff
The heater in our room was not working and we were left with a small radiator heater that took hours to warm up the room, the carpet was filthy, one of the wall outlets was not working so we were left with only a couple available, no bathroom fan, no extra key was given. Close to the Tenderloin
So pleased I found this place, reasonably priced, good location, friendly people, a great value.
friendly and helpful staff easy to get to most places by bus and walking free parking
Not far from bus stop, very friendly staff and clean room
Not suggest to walk around the area
Went for New Years Eve. My husband, grown son and myself. I loved having our own balcony. Room was clean and spacious. Location was excellent. Had a blast and definetly will stay there again. Parking was a little tight but FREE.
Very kind hospitality.
Danger area to walk around, but still ok for driving.
The bathroom was not fancy but fairly new and clean. Room was clean, basic, and way to big. Would stay again.
Central heat didn't work at all so staff brought up a large room heater which worked just fine.
Location, free parking, staff is friendly, spacious & clean rooms
Having to go to main floor to get ice and there's no fridge
It was exactly like i read in past reviews. Quaint, middle of the city, and confortable enough for a short trip. Also i liked the fact we had to be buzzed in to get into the hotel.
location was a little sketchy but im tough. And i wish the ac worked it was a bit stuffy.
Free parking (otherwise will cost you 30$ per day in SF). Close to center Staff very friendly and helpful. Big room, quiet: best pick is probably room 358 (windows on an alley and not on the main street). Only drawback wifi does not work well in the room.
Lots of homeless in the neighborhood but they don't bother you. Some rooms are really noisy (ask to change if to noisy) No hairdryer
