Dog show going for entire week I stayed. Hotel was muddy and smelled of wet dog. Staff was rude when I asked about my bill. Fitness center was one treadmill.
Stayed on the first floor with a walkout porch and view of the river. Portland's tree color from my room was breathtaking!
The staff and the breakfast. Very friendly and funny. They seemed like they enjoyed there job which made initial impression of the place off to a fantastic start.
I booked a couple days in advance and in the notes I asked for a room with an amazing view because it's going to be a special night for me and my young love. When I got to the room I got a view of the roof. I really wanted to get the view, that's why I spent the extra money to stay with you guys but I did not get it. It was very disappointing.
Bathroom very small Toilet under sink Hotel full of dogs (dog show) Hotel run down. Shabby
Evan at the front desk was excellent.
lack of drivers for hotel pick ups.
You name it. If I needed it done it was. Both with a smile and the most important of all, a can do attitude!!! This has been the most pleasurable and help-full Hotel I have stayed in 35 years. They made me feel like my problems where their problems. I am a 120% service connected disabled veteran traveling with my Medical Service Dog. I don't know, they all made me feel like family. Thank you for your time and consideration and help thought my stay here at the Red Lion Inn. Take care, Robert McCubbins and Hooch.
The unavailability or smoking rooms.
Facility too out of date.
The location is convenient.
We were given a room with very small windows overlooking a large awning overlooking the pool (which you couldn't see). For $150, it wasn't what I expected from the pictures of the hotel online. The armchair was ripped with stuffing coming out. No bathtub, old shower, it wasn't dirty, but had a "grimey" feeling. Definitely not what I expected for the price, even in an overpriced market.
Room could have been a litle cleaner.
bed was comfortable!
Pet friendly and staff friendly
Difficult to find. The exterior is becoming run down and needs a cleaning and paint job. Restaurant has a limited menu. Bar needs a different menu. We never get the room we reserve. I booked lower floor for wheelchair in May and ended up on 2nd floor. I just managed without chair. Not good enough! Regards Tina Duffy
The staff was excellent. We were locked out of our room twice and they were wonderful.
Felt the food was overpriced. Parking lot didnt feel secured no lights or security.
Excellent location, nice balcony overlooking the river.
It was noisy, both in the room (appliances, etc), other guests, and the airport.
Locn and premium quality of bed msttress quality, etc..
Beautiful location on the river and close to the charming downtown area with shops and resturants.
The rooms have been renovated but the outside could use an update.
Room was very spacious and looked out on to shared terrace area and river.
No dislikes to report.
The location was great, and the rooms were both spacious and well-equipped. The staff was not only friendly but eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Laura and Evan were especially helpful.
The beds and linens were heavenly..
The hallway carpets were past needing a little help. Now they need replaced.. beautiful as they are, they are so stained!!
when they messed up our reservation they went out of their way to upgrade our stay and make sure we were happy
That we had to stay at a hotel we passed up when scheduling our plans and we didntknow until we gotto the hotel that they booked us somewhere else. A call wouldhave been nice
Dogs barking in rooms, 3 out of 4 ice machines didn't work. Lower floor stunk like skunk.
Wonderful view of the Columbia River! Hors d'eorves were good. Location is just across the bridge from the Portland Expo Center.
The band in the hotel lounge wasn't very good.
Close to the dock when I had to meet my fishing charter.
I wish I had known there was a "fishermen's special" rate. My bad for not asking.
I wasn't happy that the Red Lion website for the Vancouver Quay restaurant was misleading. It stated happy hour was 4-7 pm and when I rushed down to participate the waitress said it was only until 6:00 pm and charged us full price for food and beverage. We had a drink and left. She realized that the web site is sometimes incorrect. That doesn't need to happen.
Location was great right by the river with easy walking distance to other restaurants
Great Place to stay !
