Charged $10 a day for parking while we were gone when the online booking said 14 free days. Also waited an hour for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport on our return home they never showed, so we ended up. Having to pay for a taxi. To take us to the hotel to get our car. We will never book here again.

Staff was friendly enough but quite easily distracted and somewhat detached. Location is very convenient for airport travel which is the only reason we stayed here.

If you are a fan of say, oxygen, you may want to look elsewhere. There is no ability in any room to open a window which I suppose has something to do with security and/or poor design of the facility. Room was incredibly stuffy, smelled like a curry factory and adding moisture to the room by taking a shower made it intolerable. Miserable sleep on a marginal bed with a whining air conditioning unit we had to leave on all night just to get the illusion of a little air exchange. Sorry to say we won't be returning to this facility at any price in our future travels; well, perhaps a bit disingenuous…would stay there again in the $40.00 range, which doesn't exist in the SFO area, if out of other options but $185.00? No, thanks.

The hotel is good. The diner was good too. A bit far from SFO city center but it is accessible.

Plenty of electric plugs on nightstand.

Elevator extremely slow. Machinery room across the hall was a bit noisy.

Rooms were okay, the WIFI works extremely perfect!!!! If you were okay for lack of privacy, then GO!!

The building was kinda cheap, and lack of privacy. Anyone can see through your room in the hall. And it is creepy.

Hotel staff was very nice. I like having the restaurant open 24/7, food was good, staff friendly & attentive. We booked property through Booking.com & when we changed our plans from 4 nights to 2, there was a day and a half of wondering if we would be obligated for the 4 nights. Booking.com came through as well as the property. Rooms renovated & nice, property was not noisy. Shower head, pressure was the best we've ever had.

We checked in after 4 pm. Paid extra for a view, which was mainly of the Double Tree Inn. Got to our room on 5th floor, it was not ready. Called FD, they apologized & asked if 531 would be ok. Yes. Walked to room and it was not ready. Called back, apologies & someone ran up a key to rm on 4th floor. View was of the dumpster & tiny area of Bay and due to location of rm, no hotel wireless. The property is okay, nothing special. It is a huge property, ie: lots of rooms - which means lots of cars, parking if return late can be difficult if hotel is full. Rooms are nice but no closet, just a rack to hang clothes on. Makes room look messy all the time. When Hotel General Manager is not on property or in this case out of town and not available until Monday, hotel staff do not have authorization to make decisions. Property needs a Manager On Duty when the General Manager is not available. The need for the GM was the change in our plans & cancelling 2 nights and since booking was through Booking.com, we had about 1 1/2 days of wondering if we would be responsible for the cancelled 2 nights.

Good location close to the Airport and the 101 Freeway. Nice staff and value for money. Free Wifi was great.

We moved a bit the bed on arrival to accommodate our baby and there were leftover grapes. Bed mattresses were overly soft but that is a matter of tastes.

    Free Wi-Fi, nice room

Always had to go downstairs for hot water. Nothing really within walking distance.

I like the location. Clean nice rooms. The little Resturant is a GREAT place to eat good food and service.

Wi-Fi did not work. This was disappointing. They couldn't seem to fix it. That was a pain as my phone wouldn't work either. They didn't seem very concerned about fixing it.

Good location, reasonable rooms. There is a 24h restaurant right next to the Inn which serves great food for good price.

The Red Roof Hotel was excellent value for money and only 10 minutes from SFO airport by the regular, free shuttle bus. The rooms have been recently refurbished to a relatively high standard, with comfortable beds, a flat screen TV and free wifi.

The air conditioning and the nearby freeway were both a bit noisy, get a room nearer reception to reduce noise from the road and hope that it isn't too hot when you stay!

I'm very like a location and posibility to go to hotel from airport by shuttle bus for free. Very good shedule of shuttle bus- I have a early flight, and shuttles driving all night and early morning.

Best thing about this place was the staff: very happy, friendly an helpful, so much so that it stood out from the other hotels we have stayed in. Also great was the food downstairs: small diner/bar type of place, but it had just the things we needed. Enough parking. It's close to the water, which is great for walking or running. I think it was Burlingame where there was a nice shopping street (big brands were sold in little boutiques).

The room was clean, simple, basic, a bit dark. Not bad at all, just not great. Cheapy furniture, desk with good length but not width. Not a bathroom you want to hang out in and take a bath in. It was okay to sleep in. But it didn't feel especially cosy, warm or homely there. We thought the price was a bit high for the quality of the room. We stayed in other hotels in the same area and for the same price we got a better value in those other places.
