Red Roof Inn Manhattan

Rengøring i top fra start. Fandt intet at klage over. God daglig rengøring. Gode senge.Vi har været på hotellet i 2 omgange på vores ferie og begge gange har vi været lige tilfredse (se dog punkt om forslag til forbedringer). Hotellet vandt på at der var morgenmad, så vi ik´ke skulle ud i byen og finde det hver morgen.

Morgenmaden var for kedelig. Mest af alt fordi der kun var smørreost udover syltetøj og smør. En skiveost ville være rart. Vi kom flere gange og måtte stå i kø for at få et bord.

The variety of TV channels limited to news or chat shows which bring extended commercial breaks. Better film choices. Availabilty of snack / drinks through vending machines limited

This was an affordable hotel. Very organized and curteos staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room was in the back and was very quiet. We would stay here again.

Breakfast facilities were poor - breakfast room too small (residents had to take their breakfast back to their rooms)

I think the hotel needs more lifts. we wre on the 13th floor and often had to wait a long time for the lift

Close to city center. Quiet.

Staff were not very friendly

Heating and A/C were not functional. I had to call reception every-time I wanted to turn it on. Ridiculous.. There is no closet to hang clothes or suits. The key card was deactivated almost everyday. I had to go to reception to activate it five times.

The room was very clean and well-maintained. The free wi-fi internet access in the room was very useful and the location, near all major subway lines was outstanding.

Excellent location - right on 5th avenue, so within easy walking distance to almost everything. One of the doormen was quite helpful & friendly (helped me find the laundromat!) otherwise the staff were average. Free wi-fi access throughout the hotel, accessible within your room. Also free telephone calls within the usa, and free continental breakfast. Got a bit repetitive after a few days, but there was always plenty of food on offer. Fairly good value for money but would not pay more than $300 us per night to stay there.

The staff were not overly friendly or knowledgeable; when asked if a computer was available for internet access, I was told there was wi-fi access only, when in fact there is a computer up on the 2nd floor where the bar is. Take care when using this computer - you have to swipe your credit card to use it - when I got home, I discovered that there were extra charges on my credit card in addition to the time I had actually used. In-house laundry charges far too expensive - there is a laundromat on 30th street & 5th ave (2 blocks away) that offers a drop-off pick up service paid by the pound of laundry, rather than per item.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, good continental breakfast. Central location, easy access to subway and Penn Station. Price of rooms excellent for mid-town Manhattan.Would book here again.
