We were exceptionally happy with our stay. I had taken my daughter to New York for her 21st birthday and after lots of deliberating over hotels chose this one. For the price I don't feel I could have chosen better. Yes it was expensive as all central NY hotels are, but it was worth it. It was a lovely size room with a queen size bed and spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable with lovely soft pillows. I had asked for a none smoking room with a view of the Empire State Building and got just that. We were on the 13th floor with the Empire State Building outside our window! The position of the hotel is good too, Macy's and subway station around the corner and Times Square less than 10 mins walk away. Another benefit was breakfast, so few NY hotels offer this. It was a decent continental selection with bagels, Danish pastries, donuts etc and available from 6:30am for early starts. We did go out to a diner one morning, but used the hotel the rest of the time. We were very happy with the nyma and when I visit NY again will not hesitate to stay there.

I like the location. It's just walking distance to the Penn Station where we got off the Megbus. Also very near Empire State Building and Time Square. Easy access to subway line 123 and NQR. The other good thing is they provide breakfast. I got two bed bug bites on my right leg on the first night, and another one the last night. I booked this hotel because I checked the info on booking.com which says it is a clean one without bed bugs. Turns out not. The bedding sheet does not feel like cotton too. If there were not bed bug, I would be rather satisfied with the experience in the hotel. Just don't want to try my luck next time.

It's easy to get anywhere you want to go in Manhattan from the hotel. You can walk or take the subway which is really close. We arrived late Wednesday night for check in for our 5 night stay. When we got to the hotel they did not have a room for us, even after I had called to confirm the Monday prior to our stay and let then know of our arrival time. After about an hour they were able to locate a room for us at another hotel for the one night. They did not go out of there way to help us and they did not do anything to make it up to us that we were put out for the first night. No discount in rate or a free night or room upgrade...nothing.

I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The rooms are great and the location as well The thing I would change is the breakfast place. First: I think you should invest in real dishes and not waist sooooo much by distributing everything in plastic. This is a very bad image in times of enviromental sensitivities!!! Otherwise a very nice place

This hotel is a gem. Right location, right price and great service. Only downfall is the lack of space for the breakfast area. Would book here again in a heartbeat.

The location in New York was perfect. The staff were not helpful regarding an early breakfast as I had to leave for the airport at 6:30 and they were not even prepared to pack me an apple or banana - the comment was - the breakfast room is closed, although the staff the previous day had said it would be possible.

I like that it is located in Korean way where there is abundance of asian food.It is near many shopping center. The room has a safe and aircondition. The room was cleaned daily .It has free coffee in the mezzanine. The room given to us on the first night was the smallest hotel room that I have used during my 1 month travel to the U.S(and I have used 20 or more hotels during this trip.Do not accept room ending in 10. because there is just 20 inches clearance from the wall to the foot of the bed and it was so uncomfortable.I requested for change of room on my second day and were moved to a slightly bigger room. The boys on the check in counter are not very friendly at all.

The room was spaceous (for a NY hotel) and fairly quiet - the room was clean and liked the in-room coffee maker (incl. coffee). WIFI very convenient. Friendly staff. Middle of Manhattan 32th/5av good starting point for any direction. Meeting at 34th/park av very convinient. Will defenitely come again when need to be in NY. For European standards breakfast is meager, but sufficient to last the morning.

We travelled as a group of family with friends. Stayed in other NYC hotels before. Liked Nyma the most. Left with positive feelings toward my stay here. Staff was friendly, room was clean, beds were very comfortable. We did not care about city view from our room window, so facing the back street brought quietness in to the room even on the 5th floor. Bed was very comfortable to sleep. Breakfast was contintntal, but with good variety to leave in the moning with absolute satisfaction. Comfortable lounge with hot coffee, tea and chocolate was a big plus for our evening joy. Hotel staff kept our bags for free half of the day after our check out. Front desk and room desine looks very nice. Would stay for the similar purposes any time in this hotel. Location also was amazing- absolutely easy to get around the city with a lot of subway stations and city bus lines close by, many places within a walking distance. Couple of minuses: elevators are full and slow in the morning- we used stares a lot from 2nd floor with breakfast to our 5th floor, but we can live with that. Heater in the room is very loud, coudn't sleep in the night, used to warm the room up in the evening and then turned it off- could live with that, weather was ok during our time in NYC. Shower supplies was not restoked fully every day of our stay, but we had our own shower supplies, so was not a big deal. But we did not use an option to ask housekeeper for more needed supplies. For longer stay you can rent refrigirator for an additional charge, we managed just fine without one.

Good size room, great location, staff helpful, good size clean room, good continental breakfast but could have done with some ham etc. The room smelt of cigarettes but I didn't ask for non smoking and suspect they all do.

Staff were friendly, professional, accessible, knowledgeable, helpful. Breakfast substantial. Design/decor appealing. Other guests congenial, which I was imagining had somewhat to do with the fact that we were all glad we had found a great hotel at a very reasonable price in the City. Internet access seemed to be intermittent at times. Elevators meet their capacity at prime time, E.G., making it difficult to get down just before 9:00 am. And neither of these were significant enough to dampen my enthusiasm for Nyma.

We arrived a few hours before check in time but had no problem leaving luggage securely at hotel. They waited for a bigger room to be made ready as we were staying 6 nights, this was worth the wait as the room was excellent on the 14th floor with a terrific view of the Empire State Building (room no's ending 1-4 have view of esb. Obviously the higher the better.) Location was V.good, 10-15min stroll to Times Square and 5min walk from Penn Station. Room was very clean and bed very very comfy! Breakfast was more than adequate, can see why some would whinge about plastic cups but they should just get a life to be honest! Wouldnt hesitate to recomend this hotel to anybody

This was a great hotel for my daughter and I to stay in while in New York for a holiday. Location was great, room was clean and the breakfast with 24 hour coffee services were a bonus. The price also suited our budget and if returning to N.Y. I would not look anywhere else but stay at nymh if the price is still right. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We were booked into a smoking room by mistake and my daughter is pregnant and the hotel staff was accomadating to find us another room. The staff was also helping in giving directions and how to get around the city.Thank you for helping us have memorable time in New York city

It's situated in mid-Manhattan The window in our room needed reparation,- the wind was blowing right into the room. A lot of noice from the street from 4 o'clock in the morning. Both could have been prevented with a modern, "noice-proof" and tight closing window.

Eveything good in room (although not tried breakfast) Final bill included all sorts of taxes including a convention tax not just sales and city tax etc. Hotel pricing system is quite opaque, and needs to be more transparent.

Nyma offers great location for good price. Hotel staff is friendly, rooms are ok, not spacious but fine. Clean and calm rooms ( as long as you don't have a room near elevators. Breakfast doesn't offer broad variety but fresh food, donuts and coffee to go, enough to start the day and enjoy some real breakfast somewhere else. The elevators are quite slow, can take some time to get up or down, especially at rush times.
