Great location! Large rooms, clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi, continental breakfast, 24 hr coffee and tea. Flat screen tv with basic cable. Staff friendly enough, concierge very helpful.
No refrigerator, always under work (like the entire city), continental breakfast isnt for everyone (by definition, it has no vegetables). This is a good hotel, but dont expect anything too fancy. If youre going to stay in your room the whole trip, you'll find the botel suitable, but maybe this isnt the hotel for you. Then again, this isnt the city for you either.
Great location, very useful "extras" such as free WiFi, free breakfast, tv/coffee lounge, access to a printer and a helpful and friendly staff. If we were staying in New York again this would be our first choice of hotel.
The location was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was basic and the staff continued to refill everything. We would definitely stay at the Nyma again and would also recommend to others.
My husband and I are a couple in our mid twenties. This was my first time in NYC. Nyma was perfect for us. The price and location are excellent. We were close to the subway and so may places many things were easy walking distance. The room was cozy and clean. The heater kept us warm. I especially enjoyed the free hot chocolate and tea. I didn't really get to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. We were always up late or in a rush. I went once and it was typical but fine for free breakfast. When we were in our room we used the wifi quite a bit. It was a decent connection. The gym was tiny but sufficient for my workouts especially because I was usually the only one there. The staff was nice. They helped me when I asked for help. We got locked out of our bathroom and maintainance came up fairly quick. At checkout, I almost left a pair of shoes but the housekeeper contacted the front desk who saw me and notified me right away. Overall I'd recommend this place.
When we were in our room we used the wifi quite a bit. It was a decent connection but we would have to disconnect or turn off every so often.
comfort of bed, size of the room, good selection at breakfast, location, hot water,
lifts can get very busy at breakfast and check out, that's just a fact not a complaint
Hotel si clean and has perfect position in Manhattan. Everything is close to It. Definitely worth the money
It is not breakfast, just some bread, butter and cheese.
The staff was great. I was incorrectly booked into a smoking room, but the clerk switched to what he referred to as the perfect room. It was; 16th floor with a view of the Empire State Building. The room was very comfortable including the bed. The hotel is surrounded by fantastic restaurants, and I walked from Penn Station.
My only complaint is that I bought an umbrella from the concierge for $5 that broke after openinging it 3 times. If you find that it's going to rain you're better off making the short walk to CVS pharmacy to purchase one.
the staff was nice Amazing location
The sheets weren't clean, you could see hair underneath the sheets. Woke up the day after to a strong smell of tobacco/cigarettes which irritated my sinuses. Complained to the front desk and the only response we received "we will check on that". Don't expect the best customer service.
Free Wifi Free Breakfast though limited Location , Many near by eating places Close to Subway
Slow Lift Breakfast has no variety but is ok
The bed was comfortable, it was quiet, didn't suffer from long- wait elevator at all, the location is great, the breakfast was fine as well at least for a 1 night stay.
Please note, that you will give the deposit of 100 dollars at check-in ( cash in my case), that you will be returned at check- out. Make sure they do return you 100$ back, because in our case the girl was answering our question and gave me back 20 instead of 100, thanks God I noticed in time! Could be just a mistake, I agree, but a month has passed and I still can't forget it! One more thing: 2 people at reception!!! Do not know how to go from their hotel to Jfk Airport, really???
Location was great Hotel was adequate , not fancy but good enough .
I like the fact that this hotel is only few steps away from 5th Avenue, few minutes walk from Times Square. Pretty much, it's very close to everywhere and also its surrounded with lots of restaurants. Not to mention, FREE breakfast.
The room is relatively small, but I guess it's normal for Manhattan hotels.
Very central for all major sights....round the corner from Empire State, Macy's, JCPenney,Urban Outfitters,Victoria secret, Kmart and about 10 minutes walk to Times Square and the Broadway.
Only 2 lifts which sometimes took a long time in coming.
Location Comfortable bed Breakfast include The stuff was great, especially the girl that gives all the info
Location is perfect for when I am shopping for my boutique. Price point is spot on!
1. No soap is given. Not all customers like to use shower gel or hand soap gel. 2. I booked for 2 nights, but due to emergency, I cancel the 2nd night but I was not given a considerations, so I pay for extra night that was not used, but may have been booked/sold to other. Double dipping.
The NYMA is perfectly located to explore the whole of midtown as well as the East and West village and most of Manhattan. With Macy's and mots of the big shops located around the corner as well as the Empire state buidling it's very central. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was good and free WIFI is a bonus. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the roof top bar is great. We would definitely stay here again!
The WIFI is a bit slow and temperamental but it's free and worked most of the time so can't complain really, just don't have anything bad to say about this place. It's not the most luxurious, modern hotel but it's great for what it is and the location means you don't spend much time in your room anyway. I would defintiely recommend it.
The hotel staff were friendly, the services were great and the location was very central. Excellent value for money.
I got a room on dec 31st! that's a lot :p Nice breakfast, nice bed, loved it.
Location was excellent.
The customer service need to be developed.
Smell all over the hotel don't know if it's norm for nyc but seemed like sewage smell in hallways and funny smell in the room
Despite location, it wasn't noisey
Room a little small
Good location and rooftop bar
No refrigerator in rooms and poor breakfast
