Breakfast to croudy
Good breakfast, complimentary coffe and tea all day, wi fi, roof top. convenient location. Good , keep up!
location was great. Wifi good. Gym is good. And comfort and cleanliness is good also. Good value for the location and facilities offered. Would stay again.
Everything we will be booking again in march XX
The room was clean and functional and the staff very pleasant. There was also a bar on the roof top that was close to our room, so we were able to have a nightcap before bed.
The location at 32nd street was too far off the beaten path for our liking. Even thought there is a subway within walking distance, going to the theatre district and central park museums became a challenge.
not enough space in breakfast room
The location, breakfast for free, I felt safe and there are two wonderful french delis in front and next to the hotel that you would had never seen if it wasn't for the hotel's location.
When you get to your room you're hit with the damp smell that usually comes from old carpets.
At peak morning demand time 8-9am water luke warm
Elevators are extremely slow and busy
friendly staff (doorman, receptionist, chambermaid), breakfast selection
peeling paint in bathroom, pealing wallpaper in room, size of room - understood only when getting into the room why booking.com sent an upgrade suggestion a few days before arrival. Accepting that offer, the price would however been that of much better hotels in NY. No hot water on first morning between 8 and 10 - too many guests I was told. Lifts too can get busy on such mornings.
Close to shopping at Macys and JCP. Close proximity to Penn Station.
On a dark, poorly lit street, congested and noisy. Absolutely no Christmas decorations other than a small tree in the hotel lobby. Won't stay in this area again.
Welcoming staff, comfortable room and the communal `café`. We also appreciated having a good breakfast to start our day.
courtesy and friendliness of staff
slow elevator service at times
The entire hotel is very clean. Great coffee available in the lobby. Wi-Fi is very easy to use (no need to log-in even once). HVAC in the rooms is easy to adjust and actually works.
On our last visit the manager claimed I had not specified a non-smoking room and tried to put me in one. Fortunately he moved us but someone got stuck in a very smoky room nonetheless. Lower floors have a lot of street-noise all night, so wear earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The elevators take forever to get to lower floors during busy times. The included breakfast is just so-so; e.g., the scrambled eggs are from a powdered mix.
Our room was changed due to being allocated a smoking room at first (4th floor )and we are non smokers. But the room we moved to was excellent (13th floor, room 1308) had excellent views of the skyline.
The lifts could do with being a little faster but that's not really a compliant you just have to be patient. But that would not stop me from staying there again
location, .....good breakfast,comfy beds, clean.
plastic and paper plates????? despite this breakfast was good....staff were business like... maybe its a new york thing to be a little aloof!!!!!!!!
Complimentary hot drinks on the mezzanine.
Long waits for the elevator.
Location and friendly service.
Difficult to observe its location.
Fairly reasonable price (I suppose great price for a nice clean well maintained room in downtown NYC) $600(+) for 2 nights the first week of December 2014
Could have had a bit more room, but did not want to pay an additional $34
Liked the sustainability aspect of the hotel and rooms. Great location and comfortable.
Room by the elevator and garbage depository... Not the prime spot.
Central Location Breakfast included Polite Staff Free Coffee available all day Use of Computer for Flight Check In Comfortable Bed Good value for money
Not much Breakfast was very busy
The location was excellent and superb value for money.
The location of the hotel was great with access to most things we wanted to do. Subway station is just down the block making it easy to get around the city
The WI-FI was iffy at best. We kept losing the signal from the 8th floor. We never did find any snack or drink machines on site, so if you wanted anything, you had to leave the property to go find something.
