Breakfast area a mad house, when we got there at 9:30 there were only
hard boiled eggs and bananas....all rolls, bagels, etc gone

The staff were very helpful. I'd arrived early in the morning from Costa Rica and had an important meeting early in the afternoon. They let me check in early without extra charge so that I could shower/iron my suit etc and make my meeting on time. I also had problems with my foreign bank cards and the staff went out of their way to ensure it didn't adversely affect my stay.

The concierge service was very useful indeed for information about NY including directions on getting to places easily. You can book trips and taxis with ease. Most of the concierge staff were friendly, all were helpful. The bedroom was kept clean,towels and washing products were plentiful. The room was very quiet. The hotel was well decorated/refurbished. Position excellent for seeing Manhattan.

The breakfast, although not charged as an extra, was very limited and boring if staying as we did for more than a couple of days. For the price I expected fresh fruit salads etc. The staff at the reception desk appear bored and unmotivated. I phoned from the UK before arriving and had the same impression which made me unsure about whether I'd chosen wisely. Customers should be made welcome.
