Good location and very clean
The rooms were very comfortable, the bathroom had enough room to function. The room and common areas were clean and tidy. The continental breakfast in the morning was plenty of food to get you going in the morning. The hotel is close to Subway lines, There are plenty of stores and restaurants in walking distance, and the Empire state building is about a 3 minute walk.
It was a little high priced but this is NY so we expected it. The Roof top bar is disappointing. Extreemly high priced drinks, even for NY. No real atmosphere. No TV's or music. Just blah.
The bedroom was a good size. Staff were very helpful. Selection for a continental breakfast was good.
Breakfast room was too small for the size of the hotel. Could do with a small kettle in the room to make tea.
Breakfast was good
Room was clean and it was quiet and the location was reasonable to the main attractions
Breakfast room was a very overcrowded with limited seating. Exercise room was fair at best.
Location great. Wifi, fridge, microwave, tv ... All good
Shower was luke warm :(
loved everything about this hotel.super comfortable beds, warm room, excellent buffet breakfast, 24 hr free tea/coffee/chocolate, 2 min walk to subway, broadway, empire state building, designer shops. friendly staff, always someone there to help. will def stay here again.
i had to come home!
I liked the speed they answered our requests. Almost immediately
The breakfast. Very tight room .
nyma is just a stone's throw from the Empire State building and Macy's. It's clean enough, comfortable enough and reasonably priced. The staff were fine and the rooftop bar has a great view!
Only two, VERY slow elevators and the worst hotel breakfast I ever encountered. Apparently this is not unusual for New York hotels, and there are diners nearby.
Clean bathroom and bed. Location is close to different subway lines and great shops As a solo traveller, I felt very safe walking around at night. Was provided with a safe. There is a lot of talk about lifts, I never had any issues, yes it's slow, but it works! If you can use it out of peak times - take the stairs for breakfast.
The only thing I didn't like was the juice for breakfast - I'm sure it is watered down, orange juice powder.
location, rooftop bar
The hotel was only a couple of blocks from my work conference. The standard queen room was large, comfortable, quiet, clean and very reasonably priced. I loved the free breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful with my questions. I took advantage of the convenient late checkout (until 3pm) for a small fee.
Had I been in one of the rooms right next to the elevator, I would not have been happy due to the noise.
Location Free Wifi
Old Dirty carpets Congested breakfast room
Good location right next to Empire State Building and close to metro stations. 15 minutes walk to times square. Quite good wi-fi, quite friendly staff. Included breakfast.
17 floors and just two small and very slow lifts. Breakfast room too small; you have to be there when they open in the morning to get a table. No possibility to get extra bed linen, as two guys we did not like to share the same blanket and duvet covers.
Location is excellent. Many subway lines very near. There is tour and ticket desk, if you need that kind of service.
Rooms wasn't comfortable. Lift was very very v e r y slow... Breakfast was only bread, marmeladi, butter and yogurt. Quality vs price was totally overpriced. Not recommended.
Good location centrally located and near Penn station
Small hotel didn't offer a continental breakfast
it was quite close to empire state building and 5th street. walkaway distance to restaurants and times square. metro is close too. Nice and clean rooms, comfy beds and good staff.
breakfast should have more options.
I took my 5 year old grandson to NYC via train. The hotel was in a wonderful location (4 blocks from Penn Station). From here, it was easy to access public transportation to all our selected sites.
Location was fantastic, so close to everything. Great size room for New York.
Could smell cigarette smoke but I was only on the 3rd floor so might have been coming from the side walk. Noisy at night but that's New York and not the hotels fault.
1) Location, location, location. 2) Rooms clean 3) Staff friendly 4) Value for money 5) Free breakfast
Very small rooms, but who comes to NYC to stay in the room?
Room and Bathroom are Excellent and well maintained. Wi-fi is good with acceptable speeds Maceys and JC Penny within short distance and Time Square not to far away
Lifts are Slow especially in Morning Hot water could be a bit Hotter
It was stylish; the room was nice; the breakfast was free AND good. The free coffee, tea, cappuccino and hot chocolate 24 hours per day was the icing on the cake. Our week long trip was spent between 2 different hotels: 1 for pleasure and 1 for business since I didn't want to shell out twice as much at my business hotel with less amenities during the first part of our trip. Boy were we disappointed to move hotels to a smaller room, no free breakfast or hot beverages through the day for DOUBLE the price. I definitely would recommend nyma and booking.com to anyone that wants to visit NYC!
The free internet was pretty much non-existent. If it did work (which was rare), I would have had more luck and speed using birds to deliver my messages, but small price to pay for yet another free amenity!
After arriving to a very small reception area and dropping off our bags to the bell hop we were not anticipating much from our room but were pleasantly surprised on our return to find the room spacious for n Y. Everything was excellent, breakfast included.
We could not fault anything(and we had just left a luxury cruise ship)! Macy's on Broadway 5 mins walk .
Room is small
Location . size of the room
