floor was dirty
If you are going to NYC, the Red Roof Inn Plus is the BEST for quality and VALUE. The rooms are very clean with nice bedding. Flat screen tv on the wall with cable, microwave, small fridge, full size ironing board and heavy duty iron!! The location is very close to NYC with easy access to the bus or a quick cab ride to the train station. Who doesn't like saving money??? Directly across the street is Dunkin Donuts and Subway if you like healthier food choices! I HIGHLY suggest this location for a NYC trip for anyone! Don't be fooled by negative reviews because I find myself to be the "picky traveler". I will gladly return to the Red Roof Plus in the future!!! A+ rating in my book!
There is no shuttle to and from the train station. The bus is a few blocks up the street, which you might not feel like walking after an exhausting day in the city. Although this is the only inconvenience, the staff is very friendly and helpful with arranging cab rides. A shuttle to the train station would be great, however, I wouldn't want the rates to go up.
It was safe and comfortable and is with in easy reach of New York. We couldnt park at the nearest train station, so we drove to the next one, and found parking for $10 per day, left the car there and took the njt into the centre of town. An easy and affordable way to do downtown ny.
The train station is a little too far to walk to, but you could always get a cab. Reception staff didn't seem keen to focus on the clients questions and concerns.
Close to stores and places to eat
EVERYTHING RENOVATED NEW IN HOTEL
BUS RIDE TOO LONG TO MANHATTAN
the view and great location for the nj transit
my room had no drawers
Hair on the bed Yellow Tub Dirty Towels Fake Air Conditioning
Room was quite small doe the price
The wifi is poor. Someone damaged the drivers door of our rented car.
Outstanding service, outstanding value for your money.
clean, nice rooms, the right location to stay a little more economic out of new york and if the transfer times of bus and train to new york city does not disturb you
a bit far of the next bus stop, you have to walk 8 minutes
Location to NYC
Different room than advertised. Room could have been cleaner
It was only a ten-minute walk to the bus stop that took us into NYC. We were able to save tons of money on tolls and parking by taking the bus instead. Also, when our car battery died, the staff was very helpful in trying to find jumper cables and giving us the number for AAA.
There was no tea kettle/coffee maker in the room. Although hot water was available in the lobby, sometimes we wanted a cup of tea after the lobby was closed for the night.
The room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Quite area.
having to ask for towels
Location was good.It was easy to get in/out of Manhattan. Easy access to Met Life Stadium.
We checked into room pulled back sheets Low and behold...there was what seemed to be pubic hair + dried body fluids still on the bed sheets. Do they still still have executive housekeepers to check behind housekeepers?
some staff members rude that would be the manager when we arrived , the black cleaning lady barely cleaned the room i mean come on she was done in 5 minutes, the toilette i had room 128 was rusted disgusting and the shower and faucets in shower and sink were old and moved and they say entirely renovated i think not
very friendly and assisted with travel plans around the area
The air conditioner is way too noisy.
There were countless number of flies - I caught like ten and there were still more. The stench of human waste was extremely strong, comparable to that of an uncleaned public toilet for months, add to that the odor of deathly chemicals - it was living hell. I threw up and requested to change rooms, but it was the same for both, and the front desk was thoroughly annoyed, so tired and wanting to avoid trouble I just dealt with it - the bugs, the odor, the nasty blankets with pubes and whatever inside them that kept me itchy and awake throughout the night. I thought staying in a cheap hotel and saving money was a smart idea. No. Work harder, get yourself at least a Hilton or the likes, get a good night's sleep and start the day fresh and not smelling like urine.
Liked the convenience of the location
There should be Queen sized beds in every room, doubles are too small.
The front desk staff were willing to help
The cleaning staff were not good.
nice price for the location, and clean. easy check-in and out
On rhe morning they were making workd outside and didnt let sleep well
