This hotel was not listed as a motel which is what it is. It did not feel comfortable. The room did not have any heat. It did not feel clean nor did it look it. The toilet and the shower were dirty as if they had never been cleaned before. The baseboards and walls look like they have been chewed by animals and the room was extremely small. The price that we would have paid was too expensive for what you get. Luckily, the associate at the desk was accommodating and did refund our money so we could leave and go to another hotel.
I liked the location, the bed was very comfortable
While checking in the staff was to busy playing around then to help me. As I am waiting I hear them talking about a room with a broken lock. I specifically asked not to be placed in that room. After checking in the maintenance men had to let me in the room since I was given the room with the broken lock. Then when I came back from dinner that evening I had to go to the lobby 3 times to get a key that worked just to get in my room.
Price and proximity to NYC. Front desk staff were very nice
In our 3 night stay our room wasn't cleaned once. The shampoo was never replaced. One tiny bottle for 2 people for 3 days? Only on our checkout day were we asked if we wanted new towels. Incredible how bad the cleanliness and cleaning staff were
it's quite obvious the hotel has been recently renovated new floors nice flat screen TVfancy bathroom sinksmoked glass door on bathroom, room .freshly painted in beautiful color scheme.nice comfortable beds with nice linen.just a great room for the price
Good location with car parking, price, quiet room. Beds were comfortable but pillows ccould be better. Easy to get bus into NYC.
Safe didnt work and wasnt fixed on request. TV poorly fixed to wall due to a loose bolt.
Staff were really helpful. 10 minutes walking to bus stop.
I stayed in Red roof Inn in Wouborn, really lovely place, that't why I selected the same Inn in New York. They used the same photos, but as you enter the room you find great difference. There was garbage and towel on the floor, behind the wardrobe. Not clean at all. I used my own bed sheets.
It is best in everything except location .It is slightly out of location .Overall it is best .
Location ,easy access to the city bus stops out side, next time would stay at the extended stay next door
Wet carpet damp and musty smelling room
Room comfortable and clean. Nice location on riverside. Bus service to 42nd Street in New York had express service from outside hotel at peak times, and 10 minute walk away at others. Area safe to walk in. Cost only a few dollars and about 30 minutes travel. Fast food outlets opposite hotel. Great value hotel for visiting New York. 15 minute bus trip then transfer to train straight to Newark Airport.
Location, location & price
The bathroom was atrocious. The tub had mildew stains and I was lucky I didn't die falling twice because of the bath mat. Overall I'd say 3 out of 5 stars
Room was very clean and front desk staff were awesome. Close to bus to get into NYC.
The bed was too soft and the pillows too flat. Wifi wasn't reliable.
floor was dirty
Very clean, room was Pleasantly decorated color wise. The bath and vaity area immaculate. Paul, the mainentance man tried very hard to correct the mishaps. Grounds immediately surrounding theis Red roof well maintained, attractive, the bridge.water, very nice to look at/photograph.
We weren't given the king room, as reserved. Room we were given, had no drawers in the dresser, no coffee maker, fridge, microwave, telephone to reach the main desk. Paul, the maintenance man, took care of that raapidly, once he was informed. Our 1st morning there, 9 am- was no coffee madein the office, altho they advertise it's ready by 7 am. The girl was rude abt it. Thanks to Paul, when we returned that night, had a coffee maker..-when we'd been told, there were none avaialable. We were given an over all discount of $30 ($10 a night) due to the no drawers. On our bill we were charged for 3 days of safe use, we never touched it. For anyone with a hip, back, foot problem, walking to the shuttle is problematical. 10-12 minute on sidewalk, it was suggested RR avail themselves of a golf cart to inexpensively transport guests to/from the bus stop. Met 2 cpls who didn't stay at "our" RR due to that problem.
the shower water is easy to control temperature, i like it, the bed is soft
the bedding is not that comfortable....
If you are going to NYC, the Red Roof Inn Plus is the BEST for quality and VALUE. The rooms are very clean with nice bedding. Flat screen tv on the wall with cable, microwave, small fridge, full size ironing board and heavy duty iron!! The location is very close to NYC with easy access to the bus or a quick cab ride to the train station. Who doesn't like saving money??? Directly across the street is Dunkin Donuts and Subway if you like healthier food choices! I HIGHLY suggest this location for a NYC trip for anyone! Don't be fooled by negative reviews because I find myself to be the "picky traveler". I will gladly return to the Red Roof Plus in the future!!! A+ rating in my book!
There is no shuttle to and from the train station. The bus is a few blocks up the street, which you might not feel like walking after an exhausting day in the city. Although this is the only inconvenience, the staff is very friendly and helpful with arranging cab rides. A shuttle to the train station would be great, however, I wouldn't want the rates to go up.
It was safe and comfortable and is with in easy reach of New York. We couldnt park at the nearest train station, so we drove to the next one, and found parking for $10 per day, left the car there and took the njt into the centre of town. An easy and affordable way to do downtown ny.
The train station is a little too far to walk to, but you could always get a cab. Reception staff didn't seem keen to focus on the clients questions and concerns.
Close to stores and places to eat
EVERYTHING RENOVATED NEW IN HOTEL
BUS RIDE TOO LONG TO MANHATTAN
the view and great location for the nj transit
my room had no drawers
Hair on the bed Yellow Tub Dirty Towels Fake Air Conditioning

The wifi is poor. Someone damaged the drivers door of our rented car.
