Score from 358 reviews Good
My reservation was not on file even with my confrontation number and to stay the full amount of time for my trip would have cost me extra stayed one night and changed to a better hotel
Staff preoccupied with imposing additional fees:parking, water, and safe in room!!! Have never used a safe - was not asked as a reminder and was charged- not a lot but feel ripped off!! Also was told walk to Convention Center safe- not really if alone and past 8pm.
Walking distance to the River Center and the Henry B. Gonzalez convention center
The breakfast was very disappointing
I was not impressed with this hotel at all. It was suppose to be A Red Roof Plus but I'm still waiting on the plus. I had no sheets on my bed and no complimentary breakfast. Not a happy camper at all!
Poor continental breakfast offerings. Please offer cereal and milk or yogurt in addition to just packaged sweet rolls.
침대시트가 좀 지저분함
Great location and was a good place to stay. Hotel was clean and very nice!
Having to pay a fee just to park your vehicle in their parking lot. Which was $10 a night....
Location just a very short walk from the Alamo. It meets my expectations when traveling on a budget: clean, safe and central location. Plenty of hot water and minimum noise. The staff all professionals, friendly and helpful.
The room has no fridge and no fan in the bathroom. Parking ($10/daily) should be complimentary; at least the outdoor and the indoor to match the city parking just across the street at $2.50. Internet download speed is acceptable but the upload is below standards, we couldn't upload pictures to facebook or even email them. The breakfast I wouldn't consider it and the area becomes a mess just 5 minutes after opening; because the layout is small and insufficient space and also because some guests are just messy. Look at it the first day and never came back.
Arrived aroun midnight from traveling. There was dog hair all in the bed, stains on comforter, heard everything that went on all around us, bar of soap left in shower. We went and informed staff he informed us there will b no charge for our two night stay and was apologetic and sincere. Put us up in another king room which showered drained horribly. But sheets were clean. I talked to manager next morning. I was charged for my 1 night of horror tht night and was comped my second night and 2 day parking. We were given a complementary gift which was a bag of peanut mix and popcorn. Really? We r a couple in our 30's, worst experience!
I decided to give them a second chance after a previouse bad experience. I later regreted. First bad experience they chared me twice. Second time my fridge did not work they never attempted to fix after being reported several times. My key continued to malfunction. When reported the staff was very rude and did not help. However I still paid full price. They no longer have my business.
Size of room, comfort of bed, city view. A convenient option to stay downtown (that is: if you drive) without refusing to confort.
Breakfast is meant to be taken away (to the room?), they claimed in a somewhat insolent tone when I complained about the lack of tables to sit down (interesting concept). Check-in slow. Building is aging and has the feeling of a big facility without neither a genuine personality nor any homeyness to it. If you care for functionality and reasonable confort, it works though.
The location was good.
But the room was noot clean and asked many times but they just made bed twice in 8 nights. House keeping looks little reluctant to do things. And wifi hardly ever working.
many homeless and grug attics around the área. no Access at all to make any long distance pone calls from the room. very cheap continental breakfast.
Everything was close by and the hotel was perfect!
Location and staff are on top of the list and that's the reason our stay was satisfactory, on this occasion. The location to just about everything was perfect. The staff were very helpful and polite. We were extremely disappointed with the line "breakfast is included" in the booking.com ad. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The first day breakfast was a terrible disappointment. Cold coffee and a beagle in the lobby, disgusting. After we had checked in and got charged $10 a day for parking we found daily parking very close by for $5.
The terrible excuse for "breakfast" was insulting. The $10 parking fee was a bit of an upset. The tea/coffee facility in the bedroom gets a zero also. We plan to visit San Antonio again very soon but we've decided not to use Red Roof on any and all our next trips.
The location was great on proximity to where the Rock & Roll Marathon was taking place.
The beds had dirty sheets and comforters. There was no microwave nor fridge in the bedroom which is standard everywhere else we've stayed before.
We were traveling to San Antonio for the Rock N Roll marathon and we wanted to find a hotel that was walking distance to both the riverwalk and the starting line. The Red Roof was in a perfect location- equidistant from both destinations.
The rooms/hotel were not clean, my mother found a SOCK in her sheets and it was clear the sheets were not replaced because beds looked like they were slept in. When we confronted the staff about this issue, the desk attendant was VERY unapologetic and VERY rude. He was extremely unprofessional and acted like we were in the wrong. The next day, our room had been "serviced" but we were not given any toilet paper (even though I called for some before we left for the day) AND no towels were replaced, even though three of them were in a pile in the corner of the bathroom soaking up a leaky shower. Awful customer service and this hotel clearly cuts corners when it comes to housekeeping.
i love it all.!
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had I stay in a lot of hotels throughout the years for business .the water in the bathtub would not turn off I notified the front desk of this they did nothing to solve it.The cleaning staff did not supply us with towels I had to go to the front desk and ask for them there was not shampoo or soap placed in the bathroom for us the walls in the bathroom or sticky would never stay at this location again or recommend red roof Inn to anyone !!!
The location is great! It's minutes' walk to the Riverwalk. It's totally worth the money! One more thing, it could be just me but I have to point out that I love the fact that the room is wood floor but not the carpet.
The wifi connection is not so steady and the speed is often very slow.
Water on the floor in room. Not enough towels.
- walkable to downtown and most sights - clean room - the staff helped me with directions - nice lobby - pretty quiet (except the highway background buzz) - good breakfast coffee
- almost no healthy options for breakfast: junk-kind bagels and danishes - the highway is too close, it is a little noisy
no refrigerator or microwave or hot breakfast.
