Staff very pleasant, clean & bed was very comfortable
On the ground level, lots of cold from the back wall. But not intolerable.
Noisy Phone not working Could hear conversation of next room
Location is good if you're headed for northwest Massachusetts or north into Vermont.
Poor furnishings, lack of help at the front desk, noisy.
Big rooms - space! Location Great value Quiet position
heater - noisey lack of paper, glass etc recycling facilities (there is a green linen policy)
nice room, nice comfortable beds, clean, functioning bathroom.
No breakfast, although tea and coffee was in good supply. There's no diner particularly close that I'm aware of
Right off route 91 however we chose to drive in off the Mohawk Trail route 2 for the foliage. Staff were friendly throughout our stay. Both room and bathroom were clean. I love the fact that RR changes ALL the linens on the bed! Yes, I said ALL, right down to the bedspread! Yeah for them, that is why I give them an excellent rating. I also liked the fact there is NOT wall to wall carpeting. I feel that it is more sanitary. They do have throw rugs on the bed sides however. I need to mention there is a gas station right next door with a Subway and Dunking Donuts inside. Taking a left out of their parking lot down the street on the same side, (yes within walking distance) is the famous Yankee Candle store (and restaurant). If you like DEPT 56 (I collect the Dickens Village) bring all your money, you will not be disappointed! Further on down the road and taking a right at the first traffic light there is a take out place with hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream etc. on your left. Down from that is a restaurant called Wolfies on your right. The terriaki steak tips are wonderful, and the homemade pies! Enjoy your stay, we certainly did! You can keep the little pack of tissues they leave you for a souvenir!
The towels could use some fabric softener!
Great location, next to Yankee Candle Village. Clean room. I didn't use the pool or any other amenities.
Found the room a bit cold, as there are no pictures/decor on the walls.
First I loved that I was next to the Yankee Candle. The room was very clean, and the sheets were so soft and silky feel about them. I told my daughter about because she has kids and would love the beautiful pool, and Yankee Candle is next door. EXCELLENT!
I just wish they had better accommodations around there. We had a very hard time finding a place for breakfast.Went to Gerrys Place). Good food and cheap
I enjoyed the air conditioning in the room, it wasn't too loud and it was very effective. The floors were clean in our room and the bathroom was as well. The staff was very friendly.
Our bedding was dirty. There were multiple stains on the bed skirts as well as stains on the top blanket of one of the beds.
I travel in the area a couple times a week. I always stay with Red Roof. Very accommodating. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.
Big room, value for money.
No breakfast...there were not many choices to choose places for breakfast around the hotel. Wifi was so weak.
The pool was exceptional
Room wasn't clean, housekeeping never cleaned our room and upon finding it untouched, the front desk would only supply us with clean towels. Left over food and trash from the previous occupant. Bathroom very small.
Housekeeping gave us a nice little surprise by carefully placing my daughters' stuff toys on the beds after making the beds. Nice little touch. Nice little hotel overall
The WiFi connection was a little weak / slow. Otherwise no major problems. The 200 character minimum thing here is annoying
Overall, I have found we always stay at Red Roof. They are a nice hotel chain with good amenities and a reasonable price. The staff went above and beyond for us. They even remembered our 2 year old son from check-in, and were able to bring him back to our room when he woke up first and let himself out of the room.
I have had this problem at two Red Roof Inns now: The swinging lock that is supposed to prevent the door from opening even if someone outside the room has a card... this thing is NOT high enough if you have small children who are problem solvers. My (albeit tall for his age) two year old can unlock and flip the swing arm and let himself out of the room. It makes for light sleeping. At the South Deerfield location there seems to be a pipe leak near the pool, because a sizable portion of the "rec-room" space outside the pool has a wet, squishy carpeting.
Everything else affordable was booked and these rates were OK.
WiFi was atrocious. If you need it to work (as I do) this is not the place. Our sink was clogged (they cleaned immediately). On second night the heater didn't work.
The location is convenient next to the Interstate. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms have been refurbished. It's good value for that money.
Some more signs in the building could make orientation easier.
Our room was clean and the surrounding were pretty quiet. The desk staff (Dagma) was friendly and helpful. The exterior was very nice. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see.
The Internet kept dropping on our iPad until we gave up on using it.
Convenience and the staff was very nice, helping you with any problem.
The air conditioning in the room was way too high making it extremely uncomfortable and it was hard to adjust to one temperature.
Great location. Right near Yankee candle and the Monarch conservatory. Clean rooms, AWESOME pool!
Would have liked a breakfast.
Very loud noise constantly coming from the walls. Initially we thought it was a very large rodent, later figured it may be old pipes since the noise was constant through day and night. I got no rest during my stay. There also was a spider in our bed!
The place has really been upgraded recently: helpful staff and colorful landscaping, including some tropical vegetation in the pool area. Cleaners were efficient--place was tidy. Also, it is pet friendly: I booked another stay for my return trip. And it is next door to Yankee Candle.
The next step would be to make upgrades in areas like replacing faulty alarm clocks and cheap toilet seat covers.
Very comfortable bed Very quiet
No in-room coffee The outside grounds were not very neat I prefer carpet on the floors in the rooms
Location to Yankee Candle. Parking was good. Manager responsive and pleasant to 1st room issue.
Room wasn't clean. Had to be moved to a 2nd room due to A/C issues. NO WiFi connection - couldn't do any work related to work. Infested with bugs/spiders. Food on 2nd room bed. Cleaning issues. Bathroom drain didn't work Light didn't work in 2nd room Mold in bathroom Left a message to manager regarding WiFi issues on 2nd night and never heard back from her.
price no breakfast game machines a rip off room decor rather dreary noisy neighbour - couldn't sleep. walls seemed thin so no insulation
Pillows smelled like sweat.
