Nice clean room very comfortable and economical. Loved the pool and the location which was right next door to Cracker Barrel

The place was spotless and quiet.

The entrance signs are so close to the exit from I81 that I rode past them and had to double back; whereas, their sign is positioned closer to the Quality Inn down the street.

The staff was very friendly and courteous.

We were told about stink bugs and saw some in our room, along with some other black bug on my pillow! Our sink was very slow to drain. The side door lock would not remain locked after opening with the card, then closing. Wifi did not work all the time.

Whole building was filthy. Room filthy. Infrstrd with stink bugs. Only one person on duty. Limited breakfast items. We ill NEVER stay at a R R inn.

The staff were friendly, the lobby area was kept clean so was the elevator. There was an indoor pool, continental breakfast was offered. Staff was helpful and pleasant during check in and check out process. Quite willing to accommodate my room needs and allowed me to switch to alternate accommodations.

There were stink bugs in the bedrooms, we changed to another room with less stink bugs, but they still had stink bugs. Purchased bug spray and killed them after changing rooms. The staff claims that they could not be killed, but we did a good job of it. During the stay our room was not cleaned, only changed towels and made up the bed. The room was not clean when we checked in, visible hair clips and animal hair in carpet. Remote control was dirty, and dusty also TV and counters.

It was a decent hotel for the price

It had a hot tub but the clorine was so strong it burned my lip when splashed on me!

Inexpensive, pet friendly

A lot of work was done to make the exterior more presentable, they should do the same inside! Room was outdated and had evidence of cat litter over the floor. Stains on carpet evident in the room, hallways and stairways.

liked the indoor pool and it was affordable and in a good location

had to clean the bathtub myself, lots of hair. the "hot tub" was about 80 degrees.

I liked the fact that they let me check out later than 11:00 am and didn't charge me anything extra.

I didn't like the fact that I wasn't informed of what time breakfast was. I got there for breakfast at 6 minutes after 9 and there was no breakfast and they didn't offer me any either.

The front desk person was extremely friendly and kind.

Rooms were smokey, dirty carpet, carpet bugs, this used to be a beautiful stay just 2 years ago. Many work truck rentals in the building, so that may be the cause of all the damage to the rooms. We checked out and went to a nearby motel, same price and so clean and quiet.

The pool is wonderful. The staff were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Location and price to begin with...room size was good.

Mold, soap scum on shower head, completely covered it. Masking tape holding the shower rod up, bugs in the light globe and carpets were filthy. Couldn't get extra towel (1), wash cloths were dingy, stained and day shift clerk on day of check out was rude and snappy. I tried showing her pics of shower head and she is like the manager will be in tomorrow at 9am and I can have him call you. I was traveling and was 800 miles from home. I said something about emailing pics to corporate office and her response was thats your choice. Just do that instead of having a call from manager. She was not only rude but you expect people dealing with public to look presentable. This was not the case. Very tacky in appearance.

Convenient, great staff, clean, efficient, close to anything you want while traveling!

The location and the price were both great. Comfortable, non-luxurious room. Micro-fridge!!! Wi-fi and hbo. Comfy mattress.

Terrible breakfast with sludgy coffee. Skimpy pillows.

The pool! The lovely receptionists. The guest laundry. The proximity to the highway and ease of finding one's way around by car.

Pet friendly. Very reasonable if booked online.

Easy to get to from the highway

There were stinkbugs!!! There is a sign at reception and in the rooms warning of this. It says if you have a problem, contact the front desk. When we entered the room there were no bugs but once the lights went out we had about 6 bugs flying around. Didnt get much sleep and complained in the morning. The receptionist said that this is a problem everywhere, not just this motel. I said it should be disclosed on booking.com website but she said the owner doesn't want this on there, that's why they have the sign at reception instead, so people can make their decision upon check in. For us we arrived so late that we didn't really want to look for another motel, and thought it wouldn't be too bad. We got a small discount in the end, but if you can find somewhere without bugs that would be better!

It was a convenient drive from Blacksburg, Va.

I was displeased that I requested a non-smoking room, and received a smoking room and all of my belongings in turn smelled like the smoking room. Other than that everything was great.

Hote was very generic but that is what we were looking for. My daughter and I were there because we were visiting Va. Tech the next day. We just wanted a clean, budget friendly room with no bells and whistles. We picked it because of the reviews we read online.

Didn't like the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways.

Staff very friendly and courteous. Red Roof Inn is "pet friendly". To our surprise the Inn has an indoor pool. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good. Inn also had a complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate bar that was open all night. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My feeling was that the staff and Inn are really anxious to please. Certainly not a luxury hotel with all the trappings, but affordably priced with more than adequate service and necessities in a convenient location in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I would definately recommend the Red Roof Inn to one and all,
