I love the way it remains a wonderful slice of Haight Ashbury both gone by and, hopefully, the future....as the warm, friendly & peaceful values of the hotel and it's cafe need to be shared and spread. Lovely place with friendly staff. I hope I'll be back

A true Height Ashbury experience! A must if you are looking for something else than a standard big box hotel. In the center of Height, it was still quite for sleeping as the road is quite at night. Each room is decorated differently. Breakfast is tasty, and people are so friendly and helpful.

This was my second trip to the red vic and we will go back again! The rooms are amazing, the art is fantastic, people are so friedly & helpful san francisco is one of my favorite cities and I will always stay at the red victorian!!

The hospitality was amazing. The employees were great and the idea of the place is great. The location and price is great as well. The bed on the other was very hard. I never felt as though I was rested. I only went to sleep because I was exhausted. The only complaint I have was the bed.

Bäst är läget och rummens inredning, som är helläcker. Ligger i ett gammalt hippirkvarter med mängder av spännande secondhandaffärer och nära Golden Gate Park. Var gärna med på söndagarnas gemensamma frukostmöten -en bra chans att få möta andra resenärer. På kvällar och nätter fanns det väldigt många uteliggare och knarkare i området. Ingen störde oss men det kändes lite osäkert.

El hotel es original y compensa pasar a verlo o durante un desayuno, ya que se ontan unas mesas de conversacion curiosas a eso de las 10:30. Pasamos 4 noches y nos cambiaron 3 veces de habitacion, en la última noche cuando llegamos nos habían puesto una habitacion sin baño(nosotros habiamos pagado tarifa para habitacion con baño privado) y no habia nadie con quien hablar, la recepcion totalmente vacia a las 10:30 de la noche, el hotel esta bastante decadente, la habitacion de las 2 primeras noches tenia el suelo desnivelado por lo que a la hora de dormir rodabas por la cama, la de la 3ª noche tenía un colchón tan insufrible que desayunamos ibuprofeno y la de la cuarta noche... Sin palabras. La zona es muy complicada y por la noche os recomiendo ir sólo en taxi, no se trata de sólo de gente alternativa o "distinta", si no que es la 1ª vez que me cruzo con gente fumando carck... En fin toda una esperiencia.

Very special place with wonderful staff. Red Victrian would be wonderful with some paint and cleaning, but quiet and has so much athmosphere that you can not complane
