The spa billing and payment system was new so the staff had difficulty handling the split transactions. Upside, they really tried….
The staff there were fantastic, especially the spa staff! We love you. It was their thoughtfulness that made our stay special. They knew that this trip was for a milestone birthday so they sent a card and a cheese and wine tray to our room. We were surprised and delighted!

The location was excellent and the staff was very accommodating.

The river view from our room was amazing. And the staff was very helpful.

The service was awesome and the location was excellent!!!

In a hotel where you pay more that 400 USD a day, the WiFi must be free. For a matter of principle I did not want to pay about 15.00 USD a day for a basic WiFi connection.
The hotel position is fantastic, clean, confortable, good breakfast at lobby bar.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location is great. Parking was convenient and prompt.

Location and view from the room.
April 21, 2015
No cold water available from bathroom faucet. As an avid traveller, I believe that wifi should be free in high end hotels.
Incredible location and staff! Had a river view that was amazing - well worth the room upgrade.

Beds were much firmer than accustomed to. Only had one chair in room to sit down when could have fitted a second and the Blackhawks playoff games was black out in our room
It was centrally located to where we wanted to go

The overall cleanliness was very disappointing. There was work being done on the floor and the moldings were missing and it was a mess. Paid way to high a fee for no amenities. AND was also charged for wifi which is small yet very telling.

The fact it was under constuction and was not told by Book.com. Elevators were down to one and it took forever. Didn't have things in room that was listed as having. Got a breakfast by the nice staff but was told we were to have it included but they didn't have it down that way. Had to show confirmation that it said that. If it wasn't for the friendly staff we probably would of left.
The staff. Was hard to get mad when they were so nice.

Currently under remodeling, but the staff tried to make it accommodating. No free WIFI, but if you sign up for a free membership to Marriot then the WIFI was free, so we did.
The View of the river was spectacular! The staff couldn't be friendlier and location great. Cabs always waiting, or sights were within walking distance.

No one said it was under construction
Room was brand new

Comfortable bed and pillows.

Hotel was under construction, which wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't tidy either. The biggest complaint was that our reservation was for 4 people and we requested a room with two queens. When we checked-in they said they were all "sold out" of those kinds of rooms. They gave us a handicap room with one king and a twin roll-away to accommodate two pre-teens! They were unable to really make it work for us and never offered any other way to oblige our needs. They charged us the full rate of the room we booked on Booking, even though we didn't get what we needed and basically one kid had to sleep on the floor. Fortunately we only stayed one night. Not sure I would recommend this place going forward.
The restaurant was lovely and location was great.

The hotel is undergoing a renovation and unfortunately it was not stated as such in the marketing info for the hotel. We would have chosen another hotel had we known. Entry / lobby under construction and room decor was very poor and dated at best. Very big disappoinent.

Had a problem with the reservation due to using Booking.com. Staff was able to reserve the appropriate room I had requested and were very nice and happy to help.
February 26, 2015
The internet is too expensive.
Beautiful view, nice room and service. We loved it.
February 10, 2015
The only negative is the lack of (free) Wi-Fi. Never paid for it and never will.
Even while undergoing major renovations, this place is fabulous! Can't wait to see the new look.
January 20, 2015
TV issues. The remote didn't work well and some of the channels kept breaking up. No free wifi. Bed was uncomfortable.
Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and entertainment venues. River view rooms are worth the extra money.

Quality of food for price.
Staff Comfort of room

Problems with shower when we first arrived. Refrigerator didn't get very cold.
View of river and closeness to everything downtown

When we tried to log on to WiFi we had to pay when we were supposed to have for free. Need more in room complimentary.
Wonderful service at valet, front desk, bell service, even at the complimentary breakfast. The service rally made the stay.
