The staff at the front desk was wonderful upon check-in. She asked us what brought us to the Renaissance. When we told her, she immediately added a complimentary breakfast to our stay. The Concierge was amazingly helpful. He answered a ton of questions and helped us get around town and to a great restaurant.
Nothing, it was all a wonderful experience, and I would stay again in a heart beat.
Lobby Elegant facilities
Small rooms No hairdryer or fridge Very expensive
Clean room, good bed.
Paper walls, loud drunks and window out of track with Lake Erie howling through the first night. We fixed it the next morning.
When paying for a high class hotel room free wifi or internet should be included. Extremely disappointed that I had to pay extra for that. I can go into any cheap motel and get free internet. Also when staying at the hotel I am very disappointed I had to pay extra for parking. There was a designated lot for hotel guests so parking should be included in the price of the room and it was not.
It was convenient to everything. Staff was wonderful!
A little pricey but worth it
the linen was clean and comfortable
There was a charge for the internet - no free wireless. When we arrived on August 12 we were greeted by two women at the front desk that we very rude. Both them were very abrupt and very immature. We had asked for a room with two beds when we booked the room initially and we were told that they did not have such a room available. They provided the worst customer service I have ever had. I am Canadian and I usually find American customers service some of the best. Neither of the women wanted to listen to our concerns. I would not stay there again.
some of the staff were rude
The location... and the bathroom was huge
Double beds when single was requested
The staff were amazingly helpful. Excellent location for anything in downtown Clevland. good options for night life close by.
Old school class and charm. Location is perfect in the middle of public square to go anywhere downtown.
As with all older hotels in older buildings, the task of maintaining a retro, yet classic look can be challenging. The interior decorations vary from charming to outlandish and dated.
Wonderful experience. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms very comfortable, and location is great. I hosted a small get together and working with the banquet staff was fantastic! Highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Cleveland - it's location is perfect.
Convenient location. Very clean, quiet.
Wasn't happy about parking fee. Thought that was a bit much, seeing as we were staying there
The staff was very pleasant and the décor was beautiful.
The beds were wonderful. The staff was very prompt when we had any concerns.
There was a lot of noise in the hallway and the room across from us. We called and the staff moved us to a new room promptly. However, there was a party on that floor as well at a much later hour. The other things I didn't like and have NEVER understood about your more expensive and downtown hotels (pretty much everywhere) is that you have to pay an exorbitant amount to park your car, you have to pay for internet use, and there is no breakfast or discount for breakfast offered.....after you paid what you did, nothing. Hmmm. Can't be the only person who's ever thought about this?
The size of the room was a lot smaller than I expected. Even with the air conditioning on it was still too warm in the room.
I would stay there again!
Location was excellent, within walking distance to restaurants and bars. Casino, shops and train are attached to the hotel. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were comftable. I Would defiantly stay there again, and would highly recommend this hotel.
The location and amenities were great!
Our room was not ready when we arrived at 5:30 pm and when we returned to our room that evening it was freezing. The ac had been running and when we called maintenance to get heat, he told us that there was no heat in our room....we had to open the window and allow the heat in from the atrium! For the price we paid....I would think heat would come along with the package.
Nice clean room and good location.
Staff not very informative and the lobby bartender talk way to much amoungst themselves.
Close proximity to the Horseshoe Casino and we did not have to walk outside. The architecture of the lobby is beautiful.
We were charged an extra $25 To park our car in the hotel garage. The room was extremely small.
The bar/lounge area is beautiful. Our room w/double queen beds was wonderful.
The pool is not deep enough.
All of the above, plus the lobby architecture is stunning
The breakfast was a rip-off. The food was marginal and it cost almost $50 dollars for two people. I wanted to complain, but didn't.
Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame
We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was extremely helpful & polite. I highly recommend this hotel!!!!!!!!
