Weather this time was less than spectacular.

The lobby was stunning , gilded ceiling ,art deco was very impressive. The most enjoyable during our 4 day stay was the Edgar staff who were very accommodating and helpful esp Champ who made his way out to welcome 3 of my family and two business partners. We did a lot of entertaining at the Edgar restaurant.

I came with my husband and 4 yr old daughter . Requested for a nice view and two double beds as ive previously read it is bigger than the standard room with King size bed. We drove 8 hrs from Toronto and may have looked famished and haggard when I checked in. A lady with European accent received me and inappropriately asked me why did I marry twice as my id was different than the one in my credit card. In short,i feel treated like a second class because I booked through Booking.com?Handed me the key and I never felt so appalled and insulted in my whole life as she gave us the smallest rm ive ever stayed in my whole life! It was a corner rm, dusty, and ran down . No sitting area whatsoever, you cant open the bathroom room door and the entrance door together because it was really small. The tv remote was not working, we phoned the lobby and took them half an hour to respond. Ordered a room service and brought us something I didnt order. We were so tired and on the run that we never thought about asking for a different room. That left me wonder, is it because the establishment assigned rooms particularly for Booking.com clients? It made me second guess now if I will ever book online with you guys . They overcharged my credit card after we checked out but I called them and managed to promptly rectify their charges. It was such a nice hotel but the accommodation were disappointing.

The public space was beautiful. Lovely historic site and building. A very warm welcome after a long journey. The amount of activities in Washington.

The lack of a sewing kit or shoe shine. I put my boots out but they were not cleaned. Small things that make a big difference.

Beautiful place, very nice friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were nice and clean. Comfy beds and a great location.

You shouldn't have to pay for wifi and charging $13 is ridiculous.

Too expencive basic services like room service, minibar and laundry!

My granddaughters 11, 12, and 15 were impressed with the beauty of the hotel and especially the breakfrast and the lobby. The location was perfect for either walking or the metro. We found several restaurants within walking distance that we enjoyed. The hotel was quiet at night for a good nights sleeep. We enjoyed the mezinine bar. I would stay her again for sure.

Free wi fi would have been nice. I found the bathroom floor and around the base boards to be dusty.

Some of the staff members were rude! Don´t use the fridge for your own snacks, read the the text on the fridge first!!!!

My room (331) had no natural light (faced another wing of the hotel 3 metres away), and had a very loud ac unit, which kicked-in noisily throughout the night. Also, having to pay for Wifi access in this day and age is not on.

Our room was warm and the ac was not working properly. We called about it but either it wasn't or could not be corrected. Carpet could have been cleaner.

the Hotel is beautiful....i loved all the renovation.

I did not like that they were shooting some film and blocked the entrence/exit that leads to the parking garage. The bell men outside the door was not polite eventhough i was a guest. I had my hands full and they did not offer any assistance. They looked on as i struggled with the door and another guess gave assistance and then they offered to help. poor service.

We loved the elegance and history of the hotel. The service was stellar. The location was excellent. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. It truly was a beautiful hotel.
