Very comfortable accommodations with close proximity to PNC park. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Dinner in the restaurant was EXCELLENT. Staff there was superb. Cost not outlandish!!!
grand staircase proximity to good restaurants great view of the river
parking inconvenience of loading
Couldn't get ac cooler
Downtown location...walking distance to PNC Park/Heinz field/Point Park and numerous restaurants. Hotel staff were particularly attentive.
Beautiful, stunning hotel right in the heart of it all! Will def be back!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. A great location for seeing the sites in downtown Pittsburgh. Great location for baseball and football.
was assured King, but was assigned what seemed to be a double..issue taken care of courteously after first night by Mgr Eileen who was great.
Very nice people
for what we paid it wasn't as nice as room as I thought it would be
Room was clean.
No help with luggage and checking in was poor. Called about 3 times to confirm. I made reservations thru booking. Com. Never again..... No direction on where to eat etc. cream for coffee was spoiled! That should be checked daily for the money you all charge ! Will not stay again.
Location for walking around
The parking in front of the hotel is always busy. Be prepared to carry your bags from the oat parking in front of the hotel or circle around in order to get your chance to park.
staff very helpful
It's a wonderful location overlooking the river within walking distance to theaters, sports venue and great restaurants and bars.
During sports events parking could be a problem, but the hotel has valet parking for a fee and there are several municipal garages close by
This place was great and the location was great. Arrived early and was not able to check in. They called when the room was ready. Park across the street and skip the valet. It only cost us $5 for less than 24 hours.
The ground floor/foyer is full of character. Excellent location. Door staff particularly helpful and friendly.
There was nothing I didn't like
The location of the hotel was exactly what we were looking for.
For the price, we expected a bit more than what was offered. While it was a nice hotel, we will be looking for something that offers more amenities next time. There are numerous hotels in the area and will try a new one next time.
Proximity to PNC Park. Courteous staff.
Initial "view" room we had booked had a view of a wall and HVAC equipment. Front desk promptly moved us to a fine room on other side of same floor when we protested.
Location Nice size room
The odors from the restaurant fill the lobby and even the elevators, particularly smells of fish and frying
Beautiful hotel Great staff Clean and friendly
The bed was smaller than a queen and it was advertised as a queen.
The Renaissance is a wonderful older hotel with an impressive lobby with lots of stone work. The rooms have all been updated, comfortable beds, huge HD TV, fridge, coffeemaker etc. We had a 10th fl. room with river view, and the PNC stadium. Everything is within walking distance bars, restaurants, theaters, museum etc. You couldn't find a more convenient place to stay.
There were some noisy party goers on our floor after the Pirates and Penguins games, but that is to be expected.
The staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful and accommodating. A special thank you to Laura at the front desk. We had a terrible time with cancelled and rerouted flights. We arrived very late, hungry and tired, Laura sent us up a cheese tray with Champagne! It was wonderful!
Loved the bed and bathroom, chairs could use a little updating.
The woman on front desk who checked us in was very helpful. The room was clean. The valet parking staff were efficient.
The restaurant is poor - fortunately there are good restaurants nearby. The muzak in the lobby is too loud. The bell desk didn't know where to find the nearest Catholic church. The rooms are expensive for what they are.
We love coming to Pittsburgh and staying at the Renaissance. Our room this time was awesome, 508. We hope our son continues to sing for the Pittsburgh Opera so we can return. A little sorry to see the "Jetson" furniture gone, but the new look is very nice. Thank you.
The staff was pleasant,helpful,and courteous.
