Staff was very friendly and helpful
Location was good, close to all downtown activities. Coffee maker was broken but replaced within 5 minutes.
Due to a Cardinals game, the entire city was booked out. The Renaissance was the last hotel with rooms and charged too high prices for the standard of the hotel. No free wifi.
As the title put. Everything about my experience was excellent except for our breakfast.
I was given a free breakfast with my booking. However upon arriving at the hotel I was not (apparently) given the free breakfast voucher I was supposed to. So when we got down, ordered and ate our breakfast, and received a bill, we had (for a short time, not experience ruining) some issues with the wait staff not wanting us to leave without paying AND for some reason did not then belive that two young 22 year olds had a roomeven though I gave my last name amd room number. Onlt after proving it with my ID were we allowed to leave. I consider it incredibly unprofestional that it occured.
One day room was not cleaned but tip was taken.

After the Cardinals game we went to the bar for a drink. After waiting 10 minutes and never being waited on we left. It was busy but not packed.
A perfect location to Busch Stadium that was our main concern. Very nice, clean and comfortable! Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.
The room was very nice with exception to the things listed in the "did not like" column, cozy bed good shower, huge bathroom, room service was excellent, i.e. quick, polite, courtious, patient.
The bathroom had hair on the floor in the corner...very few available outlets in the room to plug in computers and phones, etc. We had to unplug the bedside lamp to plug in our phones at night. The parking was horrible. The onsite garage entry was broken so we had to park several blocks away, pay for parking and walk over in the rain. The person with me had a recent injury (soldier) and was in pain after finally reaching the room. He was not offered to have the parking validated nor was there a shuttle to come back to the hotel. The room service was extremely expensive...a basic breakfast cost over $75 and the bottle of wine from the night before was over $45 for what is normally a $10 bottle of wine.
For the price I prefer the Hyatt Regency by the Arch. The room was small and tv very small.

beds were uncomfortable they dipped in the middle, we were suppose to have a king and received a room with two double beds. ( this is our third stay here and this has happen all three visits.) Concierge was very rude when asking for best way of transportation. We will probable choose another hotel on our next visit to St. Louis.
Guaranteed a King size bed; wouldn't honor the guarantee because they had too many other guests for a wedding. We were guaranteed the NIGHT BEFORE. Added extra costs onto bill that we were not told would be there.

Can't believe a high quality hotel still has "boat anchors" for television - especially when I can buy a 28 - 32" lcd/led tv for under $150 -when bought in bulk they are probably under $100! Also can't believe hotel charges for wi-fi. Even Motel 8 and its ilk have free access. Finally, for cost of room, a complimentary continental breakfast should be offered - at least a sweet roll and juice. Again, stayed at a Comfort Inn for $79 per night and had outstanding courtesy breakfast, wi-fi and 32" lcd. Only sorry Drury Inn up the street was booked.
We were told they sold out and our reservation could not be honored. We would be in a room in roll away beds. Had to argue with desk staff to get our room

We were in St. Louis for a concert at the Edward Jones Dome. This hotel was just a hop, skip and a jump away so it suited us perfectly. After driving from Minnesota, it was a relief that the hotel was as clean, comfortable and welcoming as it was. When I read the reviews before my trip the worst thing that I could really see was that they didn't have flat screens in the guestrooms. I personally don't care about the TV. we did watch it, and even though it was an old school tube TV the picture was plenty good. Check in and check out were a breeze, parking was convienent and reasonably priced. Over all, I would give the Renassiance Grand Hotel an a+++ rating. If I ever find myself in St. Louis again I will definately stay here.

Good location if you are staying for business
Unfriendly staff at reception, poor infrastructure in the room, no safe, no minibar, emoty fridge which made noise all night, toilet which did often not stop, not clean and finally no w-lan for free in the rooms. Other hotels do much better, we stayed in about 10 hotels during our trip and this was the worst to stay.
Antiquated TV, could not watch tennis. Hotel bill included 43.00 tax which booking.com said was included in the quoted rate but hotel would not honour. Booking.com should repay me this.
Nice enough property
Hard to get to the front with all the one way streets and traffic. Also I after I finally got to the front to valet park my vehicle was keyed during the night
