The R lounge overlooks Times Square- a great place to have a cocktail, bite to eat and watch the sun go down and the lights come on! Just a stroll away from all the Broadway shows.
Moody breakfast staff Need more facilities Wifi was not free
Hotel is comfortable to stay in breakfast was brilliant staff moody No facilities Basic room Lounge bar was amazing for an afternoon tea and the view was fab so I would stay again for location only
The room was so filthy but the last day I even found women's dirty underwear lodged in our couch. When I told the manager he practically ignored me, left for an hour and then said he needed to 'investigate' before he could do anything for us. At this point I want my money back.
The location was great and most of the staff was very friendly.
since it gets really crowded and it really unpleasent and loud
we stayed for 4 days. Not sure the room with a view was worth the extra charge since you don't get to see much. Everything else eas great! Make sure not to stay there during weekends
It has problem with parking, it is written vague and no body speake about in/out parking system whihch is completely not practical for those coming by their cars
Room interior dated
Great location, comfy beds
Nothing! Everything was perfect!

location was nice
Prime location walking distance to everything or just a quick trip on the subway, excellent help from concierge by the name of Omar by him doing his job properly made our stay enjoyable, he was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel, would definitely stay there again
I can't think of a negative aspect. Everything was really nice about the Renaissance compared to other hotels in the past.
I liked that the Renaissance was near the Times Square Ticket Booth on 47th Street. The view from the room was really nice. In our room, we could see the Crowne Plaza and Hershey Store and the Westin Hotel. It was a relief to find out that the Walter Kerr Theatre was only a five to ten minute walk from the hotel due to the inclement weather. The front desk, security near the front desk, and the manager and staff at the lounge were really nice as well.
Sometimes requests on phone take time before they attended to.
The Hotel environment and the location proved to be very excellent and inspiring to the guests.
The room was clean but not spotless. It is starting to show some signs of wear. It has probably been a few years since the hotel has been remodeled. There were no robes in the room. But, these things are minor.
The hotel is located in the middle of Times Square so it is convenient to Broadway theaters. For the location, it is very quiet in the guest rooms. There is never a wait for elevators and the view from the bar is excellent. The restaurant and room service offer good and healthy choices. The rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. There always seems to be plenty of hot water. The hotel was quite warm but the air conditioner in the room worked well to keep the room nice and cool.
Loved the location -- near everything in Times Square and the Theatre District. We could catch the subway a few steps from the hotel's front door. Our room was very nice and the bed was great after a day of walking. Loved the view of Times Square lights from the restaurant.
no wifi in room
The location was great. Walked everywhere. Staff was very helpful, was a wonderful FIRST NYC experience
There was mold in our bathroom. Our TV kept loosing signal (which they did give us a free movie (then we had to ask get removed from our bill). We also purchased Club Class which was a complete joke. I think anyone could have walked from the street and participated in the breakfast. There was never enough food for amount of guests and never any seats to eat your meal. The continental breakfast was held in the lobby of the hotel and we were never askied for any ID to ensure we were actually Club Class. The rooms themselves felt and looked dirty to us and needed an upgrade. I understand that my issues may seem small but when your paying on average $700 a night I would expect 5 star or luxurious which this hotel is not. I just arrived from Toronto where I stayed at Trump Towers downtown Toronto for $200 less a night and it was 5 times more luxurious than the Renaissance New York Times Square. Care full what you pay for.
Location was perfect. In the heart of Time Square
Can be noisy on lower levels due to location. We were on 6th floor and noise from outside was quite loud at times.
Great location - close to shops and sightseeing. Subway station close by.
Thought the bed was too soft.
Modern clean decor. Friendly staff. Good food
This really is a great hotel in an excellent location. The staff were helpful and polite and you really can't fault the place.
Hotel is pricey in comparison to surrounding hotels.
The location of the hotel was wonderful. Close access to Broadway shows, right in the heart of Times Square, subway just a few feet away. The staff was amazing. They all were very courteous and helpful in the many questions I asked. The hotel breakfast was delicious. Room was clean and large for NYC standards. If you want to be in the heart of Times Square this is a great hotel.
Nothing to dislike
Everything excellent as usual with this hotel.
Price for the value, substandard room, poor amenities.
