A regular traveler for business the stay here was a complete pleasure. I can not say enough about this location. From all aspects, staff to location, dining to room accommodations don't pass this Hotel up on your next stay in D.C. Easy walk to the local dining and all local sight seeing attractions as well.
Professional staff. Well maintained facilities.
No free wifi available in the room.
the lobby was nice
Very up to date and swanky rooms. The bar in the lobby was also wonderful and service was perfect.
The lobby has a strong perfume smell to it, which it a bit irritating. The room was on a low floor and the street noise outside was loud. Over the weekend at 2am I woke up to yelling and honking on the street. The hotel may want to consider replacing the windows facing the street on low floors with more sound-resistant windows.
The hotel location was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the customer service and the bartenders were phenomenal. Very elegant and relaxing to a degree.
The noise from the other room doors closing and hearing the room beside us using the bathroom.

Beautiful lobby. Friendly & competent staff. Great location for Verizon Center attractions. Reasonably priced compared to equivalent hotels.
Bathroom in room could have been better maintained. Horrible experience at the Starbuck's in the lobby - extremely incompetent staff.
I called the front desk for extra cups and was told I would have to pay a delivery fee for the extra cups. I didn't think this was fair or convenient
1.Location 2.Allowed to check in earlier than scheduled check-in time.
1.Broken ice machine for the entire stay where we stayed on the 12th floor. 2.Steam room at the fitness center was down for the entire stay. 3.Wait staff failed to offer any kind of service at the Presidential Sports Bar for 30 minutes after being seated by host and it was a slow business evening. 4.Several front desk clerks could be more pleasant and helpful. Example: never offered to explain how to get to parking garage from lobby during check-in and check-out.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Had a problem in the room upon arrival (toilette didn't flush). They came within minutes to fix it. Had a reservation for a particular room and were suggested one that fit our needs better (which it did) without charging us more. Really great overall
The prices at the hotel bar were outrageous (4 $ for a glass of soda water from the tap)
Great location. Nice bed. We got free wifi in our room!
Breakfast should be included in the price. The roof was a bit low in our room.
The beds were very comfortable. The Front Desk staff and a gentleman with whom I spoke at the Concierge Desk were very personable and friendly. Public areas (lobby, etc.) are beautiful.
On the evening of 9/27, someone slid a pizza delivery menu under our door. I slid on it and wrenched my back. Later, my partner was walking up the steps to exit the hotel (exit near stairs down to meeting rooms/ballroom), and she tripped; carpet is a little loose on stairs (needs to be "pulled"). Entry door to room (934) sticks. Ceiling vent in our bathroom dusty. No way of determining what television shows are on without channel surfing and TV shows sometimes hesitate (as though they're buffering). Public restroom near front desk, if inside center stall, wallpaper peeling a little on both sides towards bottom if facing the stall door.
Beautiful lobby and rooms. Very clean. Comfortable cozy beds. Loved the quality of the soaps, shampoos, etc. large shower head was high enough for tall people. View was lovely, even to the interior of the hotel. Hotel restaurant buffet was delicious. Liked the room keys with the swipe feature.
The free wifi was only available n the lobby. The rooms should have free wifi as well. Difficult to find where to park. Signage could be more clear to avoid driving into valet in order to ask. Unable to check in and then park like other hotels. The phone was confusing on how to contact the front desk or concierge because the words were 'delighted to serve.' It seemed possible that was food service. I was not confident when I called.
We loved being able to check in early. The lobby was beautiful. Great music playing. Wonderful restaurant and bar. Comfortable seating in lobby. Beautiful room and great beds. Quick elevator. Convenient to Verizon Center and many wonderful museums and attractions. Clean and lively neighborhood. Many inviting places to eat. Wonderful weather!
Hight standard hotel. Excelent location. Very nice and helpful staff. Tasty brakfast. Worth its price.
When we asked about public transport the staff didn't know anything about. The hotel should have more tourist information, leaflets etc..
Grossly overpriced for the service provided. For US$499.- + 15% tax, did the desk really have to send me downstairs to the FedEx office to print out my Amtrak ticket? Even if it cost only 21 cents to do so? The shades in the room didn't work, so there was streetlight in my room all the time. The breakfast room is CLEARLY disproportionately small vis-à-vis the number of guestrooms. And the breakfasts were expensive and not worth the price. My experience suggests that this hotel can be a poster child for the phrase "not value for money".
The location was good for where we were going, Warner Theater and Old Ebbitt Grill. Convenient to the convention center if that's where you are headed. Beautiful, contemporary room on the corner so we had lots of light but there were darkening shades for sleeping. Very clean. Did not eat at the hotel as we were only there over night.
The price was high but when comparing hotels in DC it was about the same as other hotels. when the taxes are included, it was a very expensive overnight stay even though it is a first class hotel. We travel all over the world and have had comparable hotels for much less money. I guess DC is high! Since we had lived in DC we didn't know what to expect as far as rates are concerned.
Location to Conference center
Very little value for money Broken phone was not replaced during 5 day stay ! Indicator for hot and cold in shower the wrong way round (nearly burned myself) Request for 1 hour later check-out ignored/not answered
Fun, modern, and relevant art Comfy pillows Great use of space Friendly staff Great food and drinks at hotel restaurant Convenient to metro
The sliding bathroom door got stuck Housekeeping knocked and tried to barge in at 9am
The hotel was nice and it is next to the Big Bus yellow route stop 46 - which was very convenient to see the sites. There are many great restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
I wish the staff would tell you a bit more of the amenities and how to access them when you check in - there is a small vague pamphlet in the room, otherwise they were very helpful and professional
With an exception of being overcharged for valet parking everything was well above board and very accommodating.
The reservation personnel was a bit rude.with overcharging our stay referring to the parking and WiFi usage during our stay.
Concierge was very helpful with info about restaurants and Capitol Bikeshare. Front desk was very courteous also.
Wish breakfast was included
Cost for the room was costy for size of room
