a little bit too less space the gas heating that made the air in the cabin ugly we'd like to have a TV and or radio, not for long night amusement, but simply for informations and news and a little music in the morning (There was a radio but nothing o get at this location)
the location a few feet from the lake all the trees around the view to the mountains clean coziness
Travelers should know that the train runs right through the property. We didn't have any issue with it because there were very few trains that went by while we were there (off season). However, at the height of the season, it might be bothersome...
Everything was top-notch! We loved the cabin, the location, the forest and the lake...Really great accommodations, and the host, Gary, was very kind. Also, the property is pet-friendly, which was great for us! We loved it there and will be back!
Loved our stay! It was the perfect backwoods cabin feel. Would have been helpfull to have a good vegetable cutting knife and cutting board in the kitchen but everything else was there.
If we could have Wifi available in the cabin ,it will be perfect.
no storage space.no closets , not even a place to put a suitcase. bed was comfortable but hard to get to, no headroom up stairs. cabin needed to be leveled as it leans very bad .
A nice cozy cabin for our honeymoon. The staff was very good. Small details that made the stay memorable. The sign in book from people all over the world sharing their experience was a very nice touch. Great location on Kenai Lake.
Floor of upstairs loft was very squeaky. Otherwise very nice.
Cute cabin. Very clean with good access to the Seward area.
The train was pretty loud late at night and early in the morning.
I liked the secluded location and the paddle boats.
everything! gary was so nice and friendly. the cabin was absolutely adorable, comfortable, cozy, warm, beautiful. i wish i could move there. there´s a supermarket wihin a few minutes drive so you can get all your groceries and stuff to make a fire! even the laundry room was cute!
No wifi in cottages but then maybe it's good to dis-connect!
Not in Seward, 20 miles away, but rustic comfortable cottages by a fantastic lake. Very hospitable owner. Cottages have kitchen facilities, plates and utensils. Wifi only in his main office though.
The Pots and pans provided we're only suitable for the hob, so we were unable to use the grill or oven, which was a little disappointing. No wardrobe to hang our clothes in.
Cabins well spaced and surrounded by trees so nicely secluded. Kitchen with oven, sink, fridge and coffee maker so we were able to cook. Ensuite shower room. On site Laundry. Gary was very helpful in suggesting alternative activities when we were unable to visit Kenaii NP because of stormy seas.
We loved everything about our stay.
Spacious cabin, front porch view, steps from the lake, peaceful retreat.
Lake front Location Privacy Quiet Cleanliness
Didn't get to stay longer.
Clean and felt like your own home.
Friendly staff, pretty, forested cabins. Great for short or long stay.
Perfect place to stay and discover the area. Very very beautiful
Everything! Especially the attention to detail and recycling
That we did not stay longer!
It was quiet and had everything that we needed for comfort. We were happy not to pack bedding, dishes, and come up with a cooking source, The option to use Renfro. paddle boats with life jackets was more fun than we planned on.
The quiet, the cleanliness and the wonderful and welcoming proprietor.
quiet, clean, comfortable, convenient.
Could use blinds on windows.
Convenient, very clean.
Really nothing to dislike if you're looking for a very quiet cabin that's not too fancy.
Nice basic cabin reasonably well equipped. Fire pit with wood available. Extremely quiet except when the Alaska railroad train comes thru a couple times a day. Right on Kenai lake with hiking trails across the highway.
The views from the cabin windows are amazing, but it would be nice to block out the sun at night. We put a blanket over the window so we could sleep (since it's daylight at midnight). That is all, and not even a big deal. Everything was wonderful.
The cabins were impeccable, yet cozy. There was a lot of attention to detail, for example, the towels were super fluffy and smelled really good, Gary was amazing and took excellent care of us. We felt special : )
I can not say I didn`t like, but ...since there are no closet ( it wasn`t in my cabin ), Gary should place few hooks to hang a jackets, bag or even in bathroom to hang nightgown.
My sister and I for a first time we spend a week in cabin in Renfro`s.What a great location ! Far away from h`way, in forest. Cabins are decorated with very good taste, linen so soft, dishes are matching in color with forks, knifes, salt and pepper are included.Just bring your toothbrush and enjoy cabin life. 128 % I will recommend this place.
Mattress is a bit hard.
