I liked the location of the building.
The hotel gave us the wrong room....wanted a suite...got a studio. the suite was a surprise for my girlfriend :(.
The breakfast and front desk staff awesome !
Parking in the lot across the street should be included in the price of the room.
Friendly staff, walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants, clean and spacious rooms.
Mmm? Not much .
Everything was so nice! The room smelled clean when we 1st entered & everything met our expectations!
Wifi could use some assistance... was slow.
Facilities were in a great location
parking not very clear and very aggressive
staff very friendly
Noise disturbance by dog barking in adjacent room. Not enough corrective action taken to remove the nuisance immediately. Effort was made by Management to provide monetary compensation. Satisfied with result.
Cleanliness, staff efficiency, friendly staff, location.
They are doing construction next door to the hotel and the workers began at 7am with lots of noise that was impossible to sleep through. When they cleaned the rooms after our first day stay of few days, they didn't vacuum as was evident by the crumbs still on the rug. The shower is big and roomy but the water pressure in our fifth floor room was very weak.
The location was key. I was able to get to the main area in a 5 minute walk. We actually walked over to Kittery Maine in less than 30 minutes. They are upgrading the décor which seems to be a nice update , but our carpeting on the common area of the fifth floor was awful. The breakfast was adequate but ended very early for a weekend, 10am.
Construction on street outside my second floor window at 7am
Failure to make up the room the third night of our stay. The free breakfast wasn't great. Eggs, Canadian bacon were cold the first morning.
The location was great, the staff were friendly and helpful.
This hotel is in walking distance of all that Portsmouth has to offer. Great staff. Great location. Great hotel.
No safe in the room. Expensive
Staff very friendly and always available to help you. Well located.
Our experience was fantastic. There was just too many dogs for us. My sister is highly allergic. She did not have any problems, but we probably would not choose the hotel again.
I have never encountered such customer service oriented employees. The front desk was wonderful and Maria in the Breakfast room just could not do enough for us and made us feel completely at home.
Very good location, friendly stuff.
Staff & location
Spacious room; nicely decorated; great kitchennette
had a room that accommodated three
Great downtown location close to shopping and dining Pet friendly (with a non refundable deposit) Nice kitchenette in the room
The landscaping, trash removal, and all kinds of noise outside my room at 7 in the morning. Who needs a wake up call when you all you can hear is rubbish being thrown up against a dumpster
Room smelled gassy. Got worse when we turned on the heat. Had to turn heat to 85 degrees before it got warm at all. Bathroom door squeaked loudly. Bathroom was dingy and outdated. Bed was uncomfortable. Pull-out sofa was not made. No fitted sheet was provided and no pillows. Blanket was scratchy. We could not use pull-out sofa because it was uncomfortable. Our daughter slept on the floor! No parking was provided and was difficult to find.
Location (although there are other hotels in Portsmouth)
Helpful staff , great location - lots within walking distance ..
We were a little late heading out to breakfast and it was Mother's day, so we didn't know if it would take longer. On our way out, we asked for a late check out. We just needed an extra hour. The kid at the desk was very nice and went to ask, and came back and said it "probably won't be a problem, but I can't guarentee.". Was that a yes or a no? So, we explained that we just weren't sure if we'd be back from brunch by checkout, and we needed to know if we should finish packing our bags and check out, or if we could leave them. Then he said it would be fine. It just seemed unnecessarily complicated. Everything else was great.
The one bedroom suite was well priced and worked beautifully for my husband, myself, and our teenage daughter. It was clean, comfortable and well equipt. The location was great; we could walk everywhere in downtown Portsmouth and didn't need to retrieve our car.
The hallways were very hot
The breakfast buffet was fabulous and very convenient. The location was perfect for our utilization.
