Can't beat the location for experiencing the Mag Mile.
Toilet backed up twice.
I like the friendly staff and food/snack provided to guests. Coffee, tea, and hot water were available throughout the day. Cleaning lady was very friendly and did a great job to keep the place clean. The person who was in charge of helping the guests with breakfast was extremely nice and helpful.
We enjoyed the stay. These 2 items below were annoying but were not a big deal to us: 1. Front desk person didn't give me correct information regarding what happened to the N. Michigan street on the marathon day. We ended up walking to Grant Park instead of using public transportation. N. Michigan street was open the whole day. 2. The stairway leads the guests to outside instead of the lobby area. We stayed on the 2nd floor and had to go outside then entered from the front door to get inside if we didn't want to use the elevator.
everything is good, staff, facilities, location,
breakfast, "bread", there should be a varieties of bread, white, whole, cook-pots are "not flat" on the electric stove, they should be changed with flat ones with good direct contact to speed up cooking, and to be economic with electricity.
I felt like I was in an apartment. Nice to have a refridgerator and the breakfast was good. Comfortable bed.
Had to get a new key about 4 times and a few others had the same complaint. It is a little pricey but you are in downtown Chicago and get what you pay for i suppose
We had a party of five, this setup was perfect. Two bedrooms plus pullout couch. Very comfortable! Delicious breakfast and excellent staff and location.
The location was great. Room was clean but tired.
I was not informed that the floor I was on allowed animals.
The spacious room, the well equipped kitchenette, the always polite and helpful staff from front of house to housekeeping, and the laundry facilities where we could do laundry on site rather than trudging the streets searching.
Nothing about this hotel jarred. It fully met our expectations and requirements.
Location was excellent, room size was good
Don't expect to be able to sleep on the sofa bed, our adult daughter was very uncomfortable for three night, could feel the springs better off sleeping on the floor.
Our room was huge. We had a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen and you could easily make your own meals because they had everything you could need. There was a good size grocery store right around the corner. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was clean. The staff was nice. The breakfast was very good, real eggs, Canadian bacon, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, waffles... Great coffee too. The location was excellent, we walked to Navy Pier and we were able to catch the tour bus right down the street by the Hancock building. We walked everywhere. My sister had a queen studio that was also good size and she was happy with her room. Planning to return next year!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
Our view looked right in to the windows of the building across he street. Hotel has no bar.
Location, location, location! - you couldn't ask for a better location. Two blocks from Mich Ave. Two blocks from the lake. But not on a busy street. Size of room - very large. Even for Residence Inn. Quiet - No outside noise at all. Couldn't hear anyone outside our door or over us.
The staff was excellent and friendly. Very knowledgable about the area and made reservations for dinner and site-seeing tours! It’s great location and a block away from Lake Michigan. It was also very clean! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
I didn’t see a hotel lounge. I like having that feature in a hotel. other than that, it was a great place to stay!
Quietness in rooms, location, free breakfast, friendly staff.
Comfort; views; staff very friendly
Arrived at the hotel after a transatlantic flight, with my 2.5 years old daughter crying in my arms. Decided to pay in cash. I was asked to pay for the whole stay, including the parking fee (i guess that the valet informed the front desk with a secret note that we had a car in the garage and we could escape any time without paying the bill). I can understand why they demanded for the entire bill to be paid in advance, but really can not see any point in rushing a tired family with a child crying to wait at front desk and make a payment. Could that not wait for 10 more minutes after we settled in our rooms?
Cleanliness -- found spider webs above bed
Great location. Friendly staff. Wonderful to have a kitchen if you stay more than a night. Close to buses, subway, magnificent mile and lots of restaurants. We will return!
Furniture a bit dated and tired. Very small bathroom (2 bedroom suite). But other than that no further complaints.
The suite was sunny and roomy. The breakfasts and evening snacks were served well and the staff kept the area clean and inviting. Location is perfect. Front desk staff was welcoming and knowledgeable.
Plumbing issues in bathroom. Had to call maintenance 3 times (in the middle of the night) before it was resolved. No apology, no offer of compensation for a major inconvenience. We were there for 5 nights and felt it could have been handled faster and better.
We arrived very early in the morning and we were able to get our room which was absolutely fantastic.Loved how we were always greeted as we came and went from the hotel. Very helpful when we asked where sights were located. The breakfast was great as well.
Didn't have enough bedding for the pull out couch as we had two girls who used it. Took a little time and follow-up in order to get it but other than this, it was great.
Very good location, large, spacious room, normal beds are confortable.
Breakfast is poor, does not worth the money, the suite is really big, but the bathroom is smaller then a tiny toalett, and they have crammed in a bathtube as well. It is so small, that the washbasin is outside the bathroom! The hotel is worn, the pictures are putting it to a better light than it really is. The refrigerator is very old, and really noisy. The sofa bed is very unconfortable. Be aware that the various taxes are addin ~20% to the displayed room price.
Everything was wonderful! Staff was friendly and accommodating!
Location, bed comfort, cleanliness,
Was not able to access Wi fi
Great Staff at the counter and Valet, extremely helpful,
Our room had wet carpet upon our arrival, we had trouble adjusting the hot water complained three days in a row. Also the location of the bathroom sink conflicts with the opening and closing of the bathroom door.
good value for money family friendly spacious rooms generous breakfast and evening snacks 3 nights per week
