Newly remodeled, modern and clean, excellent location by the river and short walk to tram to OHSU
The parking structure had odd construction with a pillar right in front of the parking areas exit. We were in a smaller car and found negotiating it a bit tricky, so if you have a pickup to park forget about it.
The hotel was still having the finishing touches of its construction worked on. Understandably everything was very clean and fresh, it is built more with the business traveler in mind but very adequately appointed for leisure travelers. The room was nice and quiet despite being next to I5 bridge.
Having to pay $30 a night for parking was something I am not used to.
The staff was Wonderful...very accomodating!! Great pool, nice rooms, beautiful view in a great area of downtown.
Parking cost was high for self parking.
We have stayed here in the past and the experience was excellent. It is under reburishing and things are worn and less than sparkling.
Swiming pool too cold to really enjoy. Strangely, we're not too clear about the parking charges...is it $26 a day or for the stay? The front desk staff friendly but not real clear about room rates. When we asked about using out AAA discount, we were told "you're getting a pretty good rate as it is". Which is?? Probably more our fault to let it happen.
Love the small apartment feel. Visiting our son and his family in SW Portland and this way we can stay out of their way but still be in the area. Place quiet, clean. Love the breakfasts.
The furniture is worn and needs attention.
Happy hour, (didn't get to use it due to timing), food great value, location was better than expected. Parking was very good. Didn't have time to take in the area ambiance but looks good.
My room was not having room heater to keep warm.
The location is nice with good staff and facility.
Uncomfortable sofa bed. Breakfast quality could have been a better.
Close to Streetcar, and also walkable into the city (20 minutes). Nice walk along the river. Nice area downstairs with tea and coffee.
The parking is slightly outrageously priced, seriously but some effort into finding an alternative. I think there are parking lots close by. The front desk staff were not great, make some mistakes and a little rude. I believe his name was Trevor.
The hotel was clean, the breakfast is a great way to start your day, kitchens are handy but eating out in Portland is what it is all about. The breakfast buffet staff and housekeepers are very friendly.
The hotel was very clean and rooms were quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. A real bargain.
The location was nice in that it was close to the riverwalk area. But, we would have liked it to be about .5 miles closer to the downtown area.
We had a king room - it was spacious and comfortable. The continental breakfast was one of the better ones we've had. Each day there was a different main item - i.e. biscuits and gravy, french toast, etc. Plus eggs, cereal, baked goods, yogurt, and oatmeal. Service was good - no complaints there. Nice to have a full kitchen.
To much for nothing no free parking
Location and mourning breakfast
breakfast included closed to the Willamette River no noise from the Interstate
enjoyed the amenities-staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant! Have lost my receipt, however.....possible a copy of bill could be sent to e-mail? thnx so much!!!
The hide-a-bed was not very comfortable. The vote for the bed in the bedroom was 1 "for", and 1"against". Next time I'll travel with my own pillows.
Breakfast was amazing! The staff was awesome! Super accommodating!
No help no taxi coming so far no one for luggage Stay in town
The sofa bed was not comfortable for sleeping. The mattress was very thin and the bed springs were felt. The upholstery on the living room furniture was beginning to show ware.
Location good to downtown, great breakfast, very friendly staff, parking is included in room rate and convenient.
very good staff from the front desk folks ( Logan ) to the folks that worked breakfast
Nothing. It was all better than what we expected!
Exactly as advertised, right on river front walking trail, easy walk to downtown, 10 minute drive to Pearl District, very helpful staff, best complimentary breakfast I've ever had. Huge choice of healthy food, real dishes, good coffee...really well done.
Breakfast food quality was pretty bad--it used to be better. I didn't eat much. Wish there were a few more choices, as there used to be.
The location is great and the room was quiet and comfortable. We slept so well.
The wifi is almost non-existent: automatically logging us off within a minute, hardly any coverage, very low bandwidth (same for internet by cable access). Breakfast is meagre, simple, very basic (we provided itself in our own kitchen). No bar, so no place to hang out with friends, except our own room. Parking is very expensive. Hotel is built under (!) a highway-set-of-flyovers, so the noise is terrible, buzzing all the time in the room, deafening when you step outside. In total: absolutely not worth paying so much per night for.
Swimming pool is nice, but really too small, and no dressing room (so we had to go to room in wet bathing suit). Our big spacious expensive room had a kitchen and fridge, so we could provide in our own breakfast (and that was necessary). Staff is friendly.
This is close to Interstate bridge, you would never know it. Quiet, comfy, close to waterfront.
Noise from A/C and refrigerator horrible. Could not get good sleep. Maid refused to make up sofa bed and just about threw plastic bag with sheets at us. Second night came back late and tired to find room not made up. This was a 72 yr old traveling with 15 yr old grandson. We are quiet and polite. Staff never smiled. Terrible experience.
Breakfast was the good part.
Not very upscale.
Bfast for family. Walk to park, shops.
-you are actually a distance from downtown, which I believe is contrary to the way your facility is advertised -the staff were very pleasant and friendly, however, they seem to have little to no idea about any events, happenings etc. in Portland -housekeeping did not replenish tea bags etc in the room & one night when we arrived back at 1.30am, housekeeping had taken away all the linen & blankets from my room and not replaced them. a very pleasant security staff gentleman delivered bed linen etc to our room & I had to re-make the bed at 2am -there is no access to tour facilities from your hotel & your counter staff simply refers you to the brochures in the lobby -your breakfast service ran out of food & coffee just about every morning despite there being 20-30 minutes of remaining time for your breakfast schedule -although you advertise coffee all day- your urns were almost always empty and if there was coffee it was cold
- all the staff were pleasant, polite and friendly
