Staff is professional. Breakfast staff is excellent.
1) Location. 2) Size of room-it is not 2 rooms.
size of room,location,breakfast was great
Room was nicely appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Having a kitchen was nice and convenient. Location was great because you can walk a few blocks to Commercial St. where you'll find lots of restaurants, shops and brew pubs.
There were lots of hair on the floor around the toilet. Bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned. The tub drain was clogged up with tons of long hair which prevented it from draining until I cleaned it out. The view from the second floor is not a good view, just buildings and parking lots. The room was a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Although it is a little tired notched some new carpet being laid in breakfast area. The room was clean and tidy and the bathroom also a good standard with nice toiletries. The bed was comfortable but although the bed linen was clean it had not been ironed which I feel makes better presentation. The kitchen had all necessary items for a short stay. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and had good selections. Staff on reception were nice happy people. Parking next door and wifi free. Location is easy to walk to the city centre and port.
Just a little dated but otherwise it was fine.
We stayed in a variety of Inns and B&Bs from Newburyport Mass to Searsport Maine and this was our best stay. The staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. They were well trained and professional. Room was excellent with the highest quality items. Was nice to have the option of a free dinner.
Paying extra for parking.
Easy parking situation. In and out ability is nice.
Billed as a down town location; which is technically true - however, it's really not that close. It's a good brisk walk to the happenings in the old port. The cab ride is nothing and there is a shuttle but for the money they charge as a downtown location is steep. Also, this is a residence inn. Which means that our room was just a little "tired". It was fine but for $400 a night I have had much better rooms with more services and better location. Value for the money wasn't there in my mind.
I was traveling with my family to Portland for vacation. We needed a crib for our 1 yr old and the staff was accomodating to our needs. They were also able to give us many restaurants and attractions in Portland that were kid friendly.
Large room with good kitchenette including refrigerator, nice breakfast included in room rate
A little far from main waterfront restaurants
Location location location
Comfortable one bedroom suite gave us space to spread out and relax
Guys skateboarding on street by hotel were very noisy but stopped when hotel staff went out and talked to them in the late evening Street side units have better views but can be noisy
Clean comfortable the quietest nights stay in a hotel ever
Rooms were set up perfectly
My dog was treated with kindness and welcomed everywhere in the hotel. The room was spacious and bright - it was a great choice!
Not crazy about the extra "dog" fee. My 7 pound companion was charged $100 - exorbitant!
Watching the sailboats and the ferry from our room. Breakfast was very good.
Having separate parking, but it was convenient.
Ideal location if you are coming or going on the Nova Star ferry to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. It is across the street from the terminal with only a parking lot between. Great staff, immaculately clean and with a great breakfast. The laundry room was huge.
Free continental breakfast was always very good. Staff was excellent, very helpful. Free lunches and dinners were a nice plus. Room was awesome. No complaints.
Rainy, cool weather. No fault of the hotel.
Very comfortable room (ours had a kitchenette), and they didn't skimp on extras like free breakfast and coffee.
clean and nice furnishings. good breakfast.
room is too small. we booked a 1 bedroom suite hoping to put our baby in the portable crib inside the room. but there wasn't enough space for that.
Everything about the stay was exceptional and I would stay again.
The corner room we had was laid out a little funky, but all in all a great room.
view from the room of the waterfront and quiet location
difficult to get help for the luggage
Excellent location; close to the waterfront area
Coffee machine didn't work & was never replaced. Need to install door between bedroom and sink area. We had a nice stay, but appliances should be checked.
We stayed here on a Saturday and enjoyed it so much we came back the next Friday! Lots of places to walk to around the area. The breakfast was great. We got a much better price the second visit which was nice and even got a better view!
Rooms were clean and spacious for a small family. The hotel was located in a great area-walkable to the city and waterfront. Complimentary breakfast had a good selection. Pool/fitness center was good as well.
The fire alarm went off late at night when my kids were asleep and we were all in pj's. It was pretty cold out and turned out to be a false alarm. We could also hear the people across the hall's dogs barking quite a bit.
Room was nice, pool area was great, included breakfast was good/convenient. Would stay again and would recommend to others.
No in room WiFi. Parking was expensive. Location was good, but still a fair walk to most downtown locations
