Very convenient and well equipped kitchen Also the shuttle service was wonderful especially in the cold weathet
The young woman at the desk was not very well informed about local places of interest and questions about the hotel itself.
It was nice and clean. The kitchenette was a nice feature
The bed was not very comfortable
Should have been told of parking fee during reservation process.
Enough space for our family Pool for the kids Wifi Good breakfast included Very quiet room Friendly staff Cheap parking nearby
Proximity to restaurants, waterfront and shops - great location!
We loved the suite with the view! Everything was so beautifully prepared - loved the artwork on the walls, the extremely comfortable and well-equipped layout of the suite. Nice to have a view of the harbor, although it was foggy while we were there. Also very nice that there was free quiche and salad in the evening social time - a nice touch!
Too much TV in the downstairs lounge and breakfast areas - would have been nice to sit by the fire for breakfast without loud Bloomberg news reports blasting away right over the fireplace! Could there be a quiet area as well as a TV area?
very friendly staff great kitchen clean room deep bath tub
It was super clean, plenty of nice towels, bed was great, kitchen area was well stocked with utensils and such. Loved the experience!!
Lovely, well equipped accommodation. Very clean and a high standard of decor. View of the waterfront was limited but adequate. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of choice. The waterfront area and downtown was in walking distance.
Car parking was in another building and was charged.
The beds are way too stiff. Woke up with a sore back and neck both days i slept in the bed. Everything else was great!!
The room was nice, well thought out design, clean, and the bed was comfortable. I was traveling with my adult son, so we stayed in a king studio. There was a nice kitchen, which we did not use, but it was nicely done and would be very convenient for a longer stay or if you are traveling with kids. Adequate bathroom, nothing special there.
I found the service, especially at the front desk, really lacking. The gentleman that checked us in was flatline, and seemed to hate his job. The manager stood behind the two people checking in doing nothing other than being fairly useless. When I asked if the sofa bed in the room could be made up, the manager said to my son (around 28), "oh, you seem like you should be able to take care of that yourself." Are you serious? Two nights here cost me over $700 dollars, and this is the response we get from the manager. We I heard that our room was on the first floor, ground level, I asked if we could have a room on a higher floor. The person checking us in said there were no rooms available, even though the other check-in person had just offered the exact room type to a walk in customer. When I pointed this out to our check-in person he just ignored me and handed me the room keys. I just ignored this. When we got to our room and opened the curtains, we were looking at a brick wall. First floor, brick wall, no light, ugly. Anxious to get out and about town, I just let it go and thought "we won't be in the room much anyway." At 6:50 the next morning, we were abruptly woken up by very loud noise outside out door. My son opened the door to find a wet/dry vac being used to vacuum water from an apparent leak. Our room was, of course, next to the mechanical room, just to make it even cozier. At this point I called the front desk and ask that our room be changed for the remainder of our stay. I was told the hotel was full but that they would check with housekeeping and get back to me. They didn't, so my son went to the front desk and requested the room change again, and then we were finally were moved to a room on the 5th floor. Just one more thing to mention. There is no garage attached to this hotel. There is a garage right next door, but you do have to go outside and up elevators to access this.
The separate sleeping and living area was great. Location on waterfront and in city center was convenient. Room included all the a traveler needs from kitchen area to wi-fi.
Bath could have been a bit cleaner and the sofa bed needed to be replaced if to be used for sleeping purposes.
Straightforward hotel with all expected facilities conveniently located near the Portland waterfront area
large apartments good location nice value for your money
Staff is professional. Breakfast staff is excellent.
1) Location. 2) Size of room-it is not 2 rooms.
size of room,location,breakfast was great
Hotel is very nice. Bed, super comfortable. Room decorated beautiful...cute kitchen, nice couch, desk, etc. Only there for one night, so did not use any of these extras. Located at the end of Fore Street so a few blocks away from all the action.
Price was very expensive, over $350 for one night. Since we didn't use any of the amenities it wasn't worth the price.
Room was nicely appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Having a kitchen was nice and convenient. Location was great because you can walk a few blocks to Commercial St. where you'll find lots of restaurants, shops and brew pubs.
There were lots of hair on the floor around the toilet. Bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned. The tub drain was clogged up with tons of long hair which prevented it from draining until I cleaned it out. The view from the second floor is not a good view, just buildings and parking lots. The room was a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Although it is a little tired notched some new carpet being laid in breakfast area. The room was clean and tidy and the bathroom also a good standard with nice toiletries. The bed was comfortable but although the bed linen was clean it had not been ironed which I feel makes better presentation. The kitchen had all necessary items for a short stay. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and had good selections. Staff on reception were nice happy people. Parking next door and wifi free. Location is easy to walk to the city centre and port.
Just a little dated but otherwise it was fine.
We stayed in a variety of Inns and B&Bs from Newburyport Mass to Searsport Maine and this was our best stay. The staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. They were well trained and professional. Room was excellent with the highest quality items. Was nice to have the option of a free dinner.
Paying extra for parking.
Easy parking situation. In and out ability is nice.
Billed as a down town location; which is technically true - however, it's really not that close. It's a good brisk walk to the happenings in the old port. The cab ride is nothing and there is a shuttle but for the money they charge as a downtown location is steep. Also, this is a residence inn. Which means that our room was just a little "tired". It was fine but for $400 a night I have had much better rooms with more services and better location. Value for the money wasn't there in my mind.
I was traveling with my family to Portland for vacation. We needed a crib for our 1 yr old and the staff was accomodating to our needs. They were also able to give us many restaurants and attractions in Portland that were kid friendly.
Large room with good kitchenette including refrigerator, nice breakfast included in room rate
A little far from main waterfront restaurants
Location location location
Comfortable one bedroom suite gave us space to spread out and relax
Guys skateboarding on street by hotel were very noisy but stopped when hotel staff went out and talked to them in the late evening Street side units have better views but can be noisy
