Richmond Hotel  

There is nothing Superior about a Superior room at this hotel. Bed linens were sparse, towels like sandpaper, pillows hard as a rock, beds uncomfortable, a/c rattled like a bus was parking, and silver fish insects were crawling on the walls. There was mold in the shower, hot water was barely warm. Beware of the pool, chemical levels were so high that my eyes burned for days. I travel to Miami frequently and am very familiar with the vintage buildings, but aside from the location, this hotel offers nothing. I would recommend paying a few extra dollars and staying in a real hotel, this is a step above a hostel, but was at least safe. Also be advised if you are looking to share a room, they only have twin beds pushed together or separated to accommodate this request. I payed for 3 nights but left after two even though I had paid for the third.

I never stayed in such old blinding hotel that still has not been up dated since 1960 or 1970, Small dirty old rooms, old beads, old towels ,all the room had one size bed, good luck to you if you do not want to share bed with your friend ,we had to asked to clean our room on daily biases or I wouldn’t be clean, we did go to their restaurant for breakfast it only did take one and half Hr. To get our breakfast ready. I can say the hotel is are under staff or very bad managements, I would never recommend this Richmond hotel to anyone. It totally made one of my worst tripe ever.

Very good location and polite workers, just missed the beach service, no chair on the beach.

Walls are like paper and it is located between two other hotels which plays music very loud. The staff was not friendly and helpful at all! I would never recommend this hotel. Many other options in Miami which are much better.

Chef was execptional, food and service was above average. He made great suggestions for off site dinners. Stuart Weintraub was helpful and a real asset to the Richmond.

Will be sure to check to see if the Music Festival is occuring for our next visit to the Richmond. I suggest that you have foam ear plugs available for those who do not appreciate the "music".

Great pool area and location straight onto beautiful beach.

Rooms fine, but bathrooms a little tired looking but perfectly clean.

Great location, very clean comfortable room, poolside bar/cafe, beach access loved everything would stay again.

I was initially concerned about what I would find when I checked-in. The reservations had been modified, per my earlier call to the hotel. The staff was a nice surprise - plenty of people who were very helpful and very nice. The room was clean and comfortable during my seven day stay. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced - another nice surprise. I had breakfast there every morning and cocktails several evenings. My compliments on a job well done by everyone. It was a pleasure and I would return without hesitation.

This hotel should not even be able to use the term hotel - its nothing more than a cheap worn down motel! I had the worst experience ever in a hotel! If anything I hope that future travellers read my review and do not book the Richmond. This Hotel has not been renovated since the 70's - its old and dirty! Their hotel staff doenst really speak english and therefore cannot really help you with anything.....

Location

There should and must be a restaurant serving dinner. Upgrade the front of the building / the facade has been there for ages. $10.00 charge for a lounge chair is excessive for a guest stayign at the hotel.

Great staff, great location, hotel is a classic, a good price, but needs some updating.
