The location was walking distance to all the best places for drinks and food. The beach was a few steps away. The room was clean and tidied nicely by the housekeepers.
There was no atmosphere, the 'bar' was simply a serving hatch through into the kitchen, it seemed to close reeaally early (?6pm). And the drinks were over priced even by miami standard-$ 2.50 for a can of diet coke!
Pool was very nice, room was very comfortable and clean.
Drinks at the bar are very expensive
Close access to the beach.
A lady called Joanne who worked at reception was extremely helpful and friendly. Also the bell boys were great. But everyone else RUDE. Even the guy who worked in the restaurant! The pool was good and it was right on the beach and close walking distance to everything ! that was the best part about it. If you want something simple and your not bothered about a nice hotel stay there! it isn't awful.
There is no free wifi like it is stated on their website. I bought my wifi in the morning (as it said it was 24 hours) and when I got back to the hotel that afternoon there was no internet left! the rude guy at the front desk then informed me that you can't start your internet until 3pm if you want it to last for 24hours!! WHAT A JOKE! the food at the hotel was pretty bad. It needs a revamp, it isn't art deco it is just very old and dingy. The toilet didn't flush properly leading in someone having to come fix it. The beds were two singles pushed together- which is very uncomfortable and inconvenient! The place is just all together not somewhere I would ever stay again.
The location is amazing at Collins Avenue. The Art Decor decoration is beautiful. The business center is well equipped (computers and printer) and with a reasonable price.
Shower pressure very weak, had to twitch to shower. The soundproofing between the rooms were very poor, could listen people talking at the other room, baby crying, and so on. At the last night the fire alarm went on at 02am, at the first time the staff said some one turn it on and that was nothing. Them it went on again at 03am and this time we had a FireFighters car at the door and a dozen walking around the Hotel for a complete check. The problem was with the Fire Alarm system and there were nothing the Staff or the FireFighters could do, so the alarm was running for almost an hour. We could only get to sleep about 04am and had to wake up in few hours to go to the airport. I think it was one of the most terrible night ever in a hotel.
swimming pool. location
bedroon facilities, no drawers for clothes, no coffee/tea equipment in room. Hear people next door, connecting door gaps around, light shines through. when room was serviced only the bed was made.
It was 'close' to Lincoln Rd, and the beach is behind hotel (but u gona spend $20 for chairs and umbrella).
Ac wasn't adjustable, we got sick because it was too cold, room did not have privacy as you could hear down the hall. The carpet was gross, the bathroom didn't have a vent, couldn't open windows. Wifi didn't work, it was only for att customer, but even then it still wouldn't work. You have to pay for breakfast, chairs, basically only good for 'springbreakers' that need a stay and don't care about hotel. Never going back.
a bit dirty room, unkind
Good hotel for the price.
Empty cans under the bed. Not vacumed properly.
No towels, dirty pool area and rooms
Location was excellent and the pool plus access to beach was very convenient.
Wall were very thin, could hear everything from next door room. Some of what we had to listen to we could have done without. Getting sleep was difficult.
Beach is right there and Oceon dr. Is one block and half away
It was not very clean inside or outside
Great Art Deco style. Very convenient location for Miami Beach activities.
Quite expensive, but typical for Miami Beach. We got a room facing the ocean, which are rare in Miami Beach's long, skinny hotels.
The staff was extremely nice and responsive!!! Always with a smile!!!!
The MOSQUITOS,,,,, I high recommend the hotel having complimentary MOSQUITO REPELLANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's TERRIBLE!!!!
Perfect location, very nice and helpful Staff. Beautiful pool area and access to the beach! Simple wonderful!
No free internet access.
Location, facilities, friendly staff
No towels at beach.
The place has a great location, in front of the beach and has a nice pool, just two blocks from Lincoln Road!. I really friendly people, attentive to the passengers needs, especially Mariano front desk.
No Wi-Fi in the hotel´s areas,10 dollars charge to get internet at the room, for a limited time. do not have transportation to and from the airport (Shuttles agreement). The bar closes early.
Location, Art Deco design, great pool area, great pool, big friendly iguanas roam garden, good beachside security (PIN Gate), good poolside bar/food service, good valet & bellhop/porter help Very clean International access ATM inside foyer
Being asked to pay for deckchair on their patch of the beach On checkin being given a "basic room". After we got into it it "felt wrong" so I had to digout my full BOOKINGDOTCOM form that had picture of & name of "Superior" room. Basic rooms are considerably smaller & pokey & look out at ugly walls or windows of neighbour hotel. In fairness they fixed immediately, found right room type & it exactly as per booking. Nice outlook & more comfortable Just be aware on checkin Also all beds are old fashioned "doubles" not queen nor king (unless suite). Rooms are 1940s so not big enough for anything else. Not a problem, just be aware if you are a "big" couple, or snore, you will be a bit compromised ;-)
Great location. Excellent staff.
Rooms are in desperate need of maintenance and interior upfit. (More like a Motel 6 than an upscale hotel.) Had to pay for internet and for use of the house computer to print a boarding pass. Really?...who does that anymore?
Great location, Very polite staff beautiful pool area, excellent beach access , Very comfortable bed. we look forward to our next visit to the Richmond Hotel .
No real issues .
Beach access through hotel backdoor. Ocean Dr and Art Deco district about 10 minutes walk away. Nice swimming pool. We can't confirm broken or cramped furniture or equipment. All in all it looks a bit aged but still clean and useable.
Nearly all rooms face towards the walls of the two neighbouring hotels. No free Wifi. No parking garage, which is however common in Miami Beach. Valet parking for $35 is avail, public garages are max. $20 per day (as per May 2014)
Does not have ventilation in the bathroom
- Location - Pool Area - Front desk [Mariano and Julieta] and Manager [Ismael] are wonderful and very helpful - Bed and Pillows are comfortable - No Daily Resort fees so paying only $10.00 for ATT WiFi was easy and efficient.
- The front terrace does not have sofas and chairs - Needs touch up paint in areas
Slow staff, bad housekeeping
