The location up on a hill just out of the centre of town was great! The price was good. The rooms were clean and roomy enough.
Although I had a non smoking room it was not in a non smoking area; people could smoke on the balcony all around outside your room which means you can't open your windows without getting smoke inside. Also my toilet did not flush, had to use the bin as a bucket to flush the toilet manually. I'm sure this is not the case in all the rooms.
Rooms are comfortable but definite showing wear and tear of age. Still I've stayed in.worse
Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Room a bit small but adequate.
the friendliness of owners, and the comfort of "home".
Everything was to our liking.
The hotel match the pictures on the Internet, the room was very clean and well supplied.
1970s style motel…very clean (98.8 health department rating). Convenient location on a hill top close to downtown. Great hard-working owners…very helpful. Nice pool area. Good value for the price!
Furniture could use some updating. Old style TV. Walkways need some repair
We only stayed one night but it was great. Friendly staff and great room.
The motel is very old (1950's).Upon check in the office had an overpowering odor of curry. The pool was cloudy and the pool deck was surfaced with loose pea gravel. The pool tile walls were slimy. The TV was very old with bad reception. The room had a musty odor and I asked for deodorizer. The shower water temp. fluctuated to the point of near scalding. On our last night the water was shut off from 10PM until 730AM due to a leak.Place needs TOTAL RENOVATION.
Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean (kitchenette) and the pool looked good, but was to late to try it. Have one washer and dryer on property which was nice. Good value for a stop over stay.
neighborhood barking hound
Owners/staff were very friendly and hands on. It was off the beaten path a little, but worth the 1 mile drive up the hill to find it! Would definitely stay there again!
This isn't a fancy hotel - it is an old, roadside motel, but it was clean, comfortable and affordable. We had a little cafe table outside the room, where we sat and enjoyed the great weather the evening we were there.
The wi-fi strength was pretty low, so I wasn't able to use it easily.
Staff & price
Maintenance, upkeep. It's obvious they're trying to get it all right but it's just going to take time to replace ceiling tiles, plumbing
Everything was great. for being just a regular hotel everything was nice and clean. AWESOME location on a hill and you can see the mountains. in the middle of a great city. it is really worth it.
It was nice and quiet
For the room size the furniture was a little much
Motel run by a nice couple on site to help out. Very close to Smokey Mtns Natl Park and tubing, hiking, and camping.
Everyone made you feel welcome.
The pool was clean and we were the only ones in it most of the time. Big plus considering we had four kids in there. The staff was nice as well. Location was ok.
When you pull up and step out of the vehicle it smells like straight URINE!!! Not to mention there is like 10 nasty trash cans sitting right by the office that has an awful odor coming from them. The beds were HORRIBLE! The smell of the hotel room was no different inside than it was on the outside. URINE URINE URINE! Flip flops were found under the bed where obviously it wasn't cleaned well after the person before us.
Old television with poor picture. Floor in bathroom was rotted out next to bath tub. Could hear every time a door was closed on each side of room.
Convenient Location to Bryson City. The motel sits above the town and is walkable for the more adventurous. Great staff. Very friendly & accommodating. Beautiful gardening & a deep pool on the grounds.
Older building & décor. Grainy TV with a remote that only partially worked.
The staff were exceptional; friendly, helpful in every possible way. The place was clean and the grounds were very pretty and well maintained.
Older hotel that they have truly tried to make the most of, however, many of the fittings in the rooms were loose with some pealing paint.
Clean room with king size bed.
Air conditioner was a bit loud. Room was a bit small.
Comfortable bed and room chairs. Clean. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.
ANTS in the bathroom. No other problems noted.
Air conditioner was outrageously loud. We had to yell over it. Internet not secure and couldnt get on-signal too weak. Room too small
Very friendly staff. Pretty location. Simple, nothing fancy, and very good for the money.
Bed could have been a little nicer, but it wasn't bad at all.
The owners were understanding & accommodating to issues encountered (ie toilet would not work properly so they moved us to a different room) .
rooms need updating. Quality of clientele not good especially for young families. A/C was very noisy. Rooms were dark-needs more lighting.
