Price and convenience.
It was very clean
Someone sounded like they were partying outside and kept us up most of the night. Clean, but old. Parking is away from the rooms.
Electrical problem with breaker going off. Also noise of heat system for room.
Straight shot to casino
Staff was friendly and nice
Was comfy for value
The staff was welcoming and very helpful.
N/A will stay again.
Heater stayed running all the time and room very stuffy!! Either hot or cold never comfortable temp!!!
For the price, great place. Check in was great. They moved me from a smoking to a non-smoking room.
Very dated, shower/bath was a little difficult, waiting for the water to heat up, very cold in the mountains. No wi-fi. They must have Dish Network, the station selection was nearly non-existent. The family would have not wanted to stay there, but I was there on business and it worked out fine.
price & clean
Friendly staff, easy check in, quiet , good view, good value, clean room, straight shot from hotel to casino on a wonderful road along the river.
Water pressure in showers changed and water would get to hot. Small none handicap toilets.
The view of the mountains.
The water didn't get as hot as I expected, but we made it work.
Price Clean View
Low price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned and everything used was replenished every day. Free wifi was working and dependable. Good central location to things in Bryson City.
Motel is old and needs updating desperately. Attracts a certain element of people (price might be a reason). Rooms have "paper walls" so everything is heard. Mini-fridge was old and worn out, didn't close all the way and wasn't cold. Very limited parking. Cheap old style doorknob on entry door like used on bedroom doors in the 70's. Could smell smoke of those smoking outside coming under our door.
- Bryson City is a beautiful town with very good restaurants. - To visit the Smoky Mountains we wouldn't go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. It is way too crowded there. - The Ridge Top Motel is located so good that we were able to sleep with an open window and didn't wake up by any noise.
Nothing in particular.
The place is very old! The furniture are old and falling a part, the walls are so thin that you can hear everything in the next room, there is no internet. That was not the worst thin... We didn't have hot water!! They ask us to use the bathroom in another dirty room that someone just checkout! And even there the pipes was so old that it was impossible to adapt the water temperature!! So just don't go!'
the rooms were very clean. there were good heaters in the rooms. everything was tidy.
I love the location, the staff and the quaint surroundings
Thin walls. I could hear nearly everything in adjacent rooms. Should have brought earplugs. That would have totally taken care of the issue and would have made the stay just about perfect.
very noisy at night, no extras like blow dryer...did have a coffee pot.....
We liked the location and the price.
The door of our room had this huge crack all the way around it , so as people was smoking outside of their non-smoking rooms , the smell of smoke filled our room for most of the night. I put a towel at the bottom of the door but it still seemed like I was smoking.
Staff was friendly. The true, hidden treasure, were the other guests we met during our stay.
Clean and well priced. Cozy spot. My family and I had a great time. Old but like I said, clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.
Room was supposed to be non smoking. Smelled like someone had been smoking. Fridge did not work. No remote for TV.
Outside was dirty..inside it was actually a decent place to stay.
Bathroom was not clean.
The motel is just what it says on a ridge it has gorgeous outlook of the mountains. rooms were clean and had a rustic feeling. We enjoyed our stay.
Staff was very friendly and available. Surroundings were beautiful.
This motel was much older then most, fridge did not work& shower leaked all over floor. Front door is very old and needs updating to feel safe. For the price I could have stayed in a nicer place.
