The sunset and then the sunrise were GREAT...LOOKING OUT AND JUST SEEING MOUNTAINS what a way to go to bed and wake to in the morning . We chose to sleep in the teepee and really enjoyed the peace of the outdoors yet having a in door bathroom and great dinning room. The young couple running the resort were beyond wonderful....so friendly and helpful.
The firewood should have been kept under some kind of cover since it was almost impossible to make a fire with the wet wood after the rain.
The remote location, the incomparable view, and the fire in the chiminea outside the tipi warding off the mountain chill, drinking wine while watching the stars come out, then crawling under feather quilts on a comfortable futon to keep cozy till the morning. The fact that the tipi was authentic added to the experience.
It would have been better to have a few services. Camping, but not camping. It would be nice if the lodge were to keep the doors open at night in order to use the bathroom. The portapotty outhouse was far from the tipi and not a pleasant trip in the middle of the night. Also, there was no kindling to start a fire, and one had to find one's own wood to keep it going. Can't that be furnished?
Loved location and staying in the Teepee. Was a rustic, but cozy, clean and comfortable place to stay. Didn't want to set up our own tent after a 8+ hour drive, so it was perfect! Enjoyed the fire chimney outside of the teepee as well.In the morning, watching hummingbird's dive bomb each other on the breakfast porch was entertaining and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious with an assortment of options.
The only feedback our family would give is to convey the message to people staying in the teepee's that they CAN BE HEARD from next door.It seems like common sense, but unfortunately the ladies staying next door to us-were so loud that we almost went next door to let them know after our little one said to us, "mama/dada whay are those ladies are sooo loud?" We had earlier spent a few minutes explaining to our four and a half year old son how important it was to be quiet, so that our neighbors could have a peaceful and serene experience. It was ironic and kind of a bummer that the women next door talked loudly and lively for a good hour/hour and half after nine. Not enough to keeps us satisfied just a little bit of a bummer-b/c it is so peaceful and quiet naturally. ;)
Very friendly staff. A unique experience with a lot of charm and comfort.
I felt very comfortable and welcome. The scenery was beautiful and the hotel and tipis were very nice, warm and cozy.
The young couple running the inn went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They were delightful. The room, Chief Joseph Room, was very interesting, comfortable, and immaculate. Although the bathroom was in the hall, after 9 pm we had sole access to it. It, too, was always immaculate.
60's trailer was beyond cute and comfortable for two people.
Everything was perfect for us, Tipi clean and roomy, lodge nice, breakfast tasty and plentiful, views of canyon were awesome, hosts very friendly, even the other guests were nice!
Hospitality, out-of-context niceties in a remote, rural setting; views and surroundings; areas to explore
I wasn't sure what to expect since there were few prior reviews. But from the time my husband & I stepped in the front door, all aspects of our stay were outstanding! First, Patrice, Justin and Amy gave us a warm welcome & we enjoyed a local brewed beer at the bar. after a long day of driving. The Chief Joseph room was huge and very well appointed. I think the sheets were the nicest I've ever sleep on and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathrooms were also large, clean & modern. Homemade pasta for dinner was a rare treat and the full breakfast was also very good. Then to top it off, the views over the canyon were gorgeous & we enjoyed the outside patio & meeting other guests at the communal fire pit. We highly recommend the RimRock Inn!!!

Fantastic view, excellent food and service. Friendly caretakers. Very nice facility and the tipi was great fun to stay in!
It's located 35 miles outside of Enterprise .... out in the middle of nowhere.
