Room was clean and beds comfortable.
Room was too small.
Location and comfort
The black light in the room did not work thank goodness or I doubt I could have slept with the weird mural across the room
Priced to high
The staff was friendly and the location is great.
The room decor is very dated, with an over-the-top mural that circles the room. You couldn't look anywhere without deer eyes looking back at you.
Location, restaurant nearby; clean facility, comfortable bed
No breakfast, aging facility
I stayed here for a weekend of motorcycle riding in the area in October 2014. The hotel is very odd--sort of a motel on its last leg. But for a room and place to stay, it was OK. And there are few options in town. On the second night we removed the shower head from the holder and the base broke off in our hands. I reported it and a manager/owner insisted on seeing it. Thankfully I made pictures. It HAD to be cracked and almost broken anyway--we did not break it. We stayed in the room that night and just took a shower with the headless tube the next morning. NO DISCOUNT, nothing. Then 2 weeks later I check my AMEX bill and find they charged me $100!!! I filed a complaint with AMEX, and tried to call the hotel--took a dozen attempts, but was finally told they charged for the shower head--without calling, NOTHING. Clearly I do not intend to pay. When I complained and told the person on the phone about the AMEX contested charge he offered to refund the $100 (if I gave him my card number again--right???). My advice--PASS ON THIS ONE. That level of dishonesty undermines all trust.
Location Great restaurant w/ excellent food Friendly staff Clean rooms
Shower drain clogged...stood in dirty water to shower Toilet seat dirty and stained
The restuarant was conveniently located on the property. Parking was good.
Room needed updating. Less scenes on the walls. Front door blew open during the night. No deadbolts on doors.
staff not at all knowledgable of area and other attractions.
the pics of the motel shows on the water. the pics need up dated.
for $90.00 I thought rooms would be a little more relaxing!!!!
good location, parking close to room
knowing that the room was rented for the weekend, it would have been nice if the air conditioner would have been on when we checked in on Friday,
Location was great
Needed new drapes, comforter and updating
That there was a motel/inn available.
That the inn was almost entirely empty and they put us right next to another rented room and on the front side with bright porch lights lights which remained on all night.
Low water pressure. Commode too low. Bed to soft, and too high off floor.
Good food. Attentive staff. some amenities were updated in room.
But more in the overall room needs to be brought up to date, repainted. to make the overall appearance "cleaner".
Restaurant was very good. Room was clean and well stocked.
Air condition not cool enough. Room painted with animals and hunters. Door hard to unlock. Office smelled like a strange stinky food.
The room smelled like smoke and I don't know what else. There was a horrible spray painted mural on the wall of deer. It went up and over the ceiling and someone had shot holes in it. Noticed that most guests had windows opened, probably to air it out. It was a hot summer day so they probably had to do that to breathe. I left as soon as I could. Never AGAIN!
It was quiet and close to the river.
The room smelled musty.
No wi-fi, requested non smoking, room had been smoked in. Expensive for what you received. Would not go back. Very few places to stay small Town.
Wall paintings have got to go
I didn't have high expectations as I knew this is a small motel in Bandera, Texas. I was very pleased with the efficiency of my check in and polite staff. The room was very clean - no dust on the table, TV or sink area. The floors and bathroom were spotless too. I have to say it was cleaner than many name brand hotels that I have stayed in for business travel. The mattress was very comfortable and were recently replaced (I was checking for traces of bed bugs) and I saw that they looked very new and the one in my room was a "Beauty rest". While everything had age and signs of heavy use, it wasn't offensive and all fully functional. The paintings on the walls albeit were not anything that I would ever have in my home but really, you are in Bandera, TX. I found it amusing and it just added to the small town charm. Honestly it was all airbrushed and clearly the artist invested a considerable amount of time and thought into the drawings. I had traveled to pick up my son from Camp Lonehollow. Traditionally I stay in a 5 star hotel in San Antonio for camp pick up. Being short on time this trip I chose to stay close to camp to make it a quick trip and this place suited my needs perfectly.
The room was hot upon arrival - the a/c was off, I'm assuming to conserve energy. It did cool fairly quickly.
Room was dirty, in need of repair. Bathroom was in need complete make over. This was the only Nonsmoking room with ashtrays. Not a place you should recommend.
medina river reasturant only
this motel needs up dates they don't smell very good. they need better cleaning
