This was the worst hotel experience I have ever survived: 1. The receptionist was totally inept: after 40 hours of travelling, I had to wait longer than an hour to be able to check in. She was then rude to me, and interrupted my check in to help other people. 2. There were pubic hairs on the pillow 3. Everything in the hotel was very very old 4. I was evicted by the maid from my room an hour early, no apology. 5. Breakfast was not edible - it was nothing but sickly sweet cakes (I have a gluten allergy) 6. The swimming pool was tiny, so forget it 7. Front desk misinformed me about my shuttle transfer, telling me that I had only 10 minutes to find a cash machine that worked (the one in the hotel did not, surprise surprise), and I slowly discovered that I had two hours, so had been totally stressed out for nothing. Perfectly hideous. Any other hotel would be better.

Central location 1. Staff took 45min to check me in as they couldn't find my reservation, even though I provided a copy myself with the reservation number. 2. Very poor breakfast. 3. No in-room facilities such as fridge, hotel information or kettle. Iron leaked water. Hairdryer smoked and momentarily caught fire. 4. I notified my intention to leave early on 4 December. On trying to check out on the 5th I was told I would be charged for the entire original booking despite having a cancellation clause in my reservation. It took a further 24 hours to cancel my booking. I missed parts of my meeting trying to negotiate this.

Actually I can´t imagine one thing which I want to give plus. Maybe amazing view from 16th floor. Hidden fees like 22dollars for car parking per day and additional fees to taxes. In price is already breakfast, but only toasts and butter definitely is not a breakfast for me. Never again. And I travel a lot around a world, but I never saw something like this. Price was high and definitely nothing special.

Location walking distance to the business area and moderate price were key to my decision to stay here. You get what you pay for. Rooms are basic and would benefit from an upgrade.

The location of the hotel is convenient. It's understaff, and you have to face a big queue for the checkin and checkout. The staff has no time for people as they are overbooked.

The only thing to recommend this hotels for the future is based on its location: it is right in downtown Miami and is well connected by the Metromover (free shuttle within down town) and the Metrorail (goes beyond down town). There are many museums and arts venues that one can take advantage of from this location. The fact that they have breakfast included in the price of the room might also be an incentive for some (though the selection is limited to cereal, bagels, coffee and OJ). The hotel may have been a well maintained facility in the past, but now is quite run down: the sign of the hotel has letters missing, the curtains are torn, the sheets have holes in them, the sofas are stained and not cleaned. The room did not have temeparture control. The towel hangar is unhinged from the wall. The wall paper was torn from the side of the window. The lighting within the room is inadequate. The iron has rust on its sides. The bath tub appears grimey. The wifi is only available in the lobby and not in rooms - there was no working data port in the room either. Regardless of how much a hotel costs, it should be maintained well and kept in good repair. That was not the case with this place. For the nightly rate at this hotel, one can hope to find a place that is far cleaner elsewhere.

Location is ok. Hotel is very old and not really maintained. 1) Only 1 evaluator was working and this for a hotel with 16 floors. 2) Very poor breakfast 3) Temperature control in our room was not working correctly. It was freezing cold even when we turn the heater on. In the end we switched it off.

Great location, 8 minutes walk from Bayside Market Place and from the Port. Poor breakfast. They run out of coffee, unfriendly staff. Only one elevator operated, 5-10 minutes waiting time is annoying.

The hotel is very close to the riverwalk metromover, miami av. ( food & drinks), next to the brickel ( large av. with financial district and bus stations for all directions). The employees was always helpful. The (few) amenities was not always available. The ice machine was broken for 2 days (and the others 2 was always without ice because of people using it all day). For 2 days the towel that was changed came with dirty (hopefully they bring always 2 to the room).

There are lots of unpleasant comments about the hotel but I am rating it with 7. Location is good (just 5 min walk from bus station, 10 min to port of Miami), staff was very friendly to me and resolved all issues, room is very large (especially if you are travelling alone), they clean it daily, air-conditioning is operational, bathroom in a good condition. The one thing you should be ready for - even if you have paid for breakfast you actually do not have it. Breakfast is very poor and is served in a bar which I saw for the first time in my travel life. The principle is that if you come first you get most and if you come later you`d better proceed to cafes nearby. Hopefully, there are many cafe`s on SE 1st street: sure, there is Starbacks at the corner (American Starbacks has huger variety for breakfast than its daughter branches in Europe), Mexican cafe, French cafe with tasty breakfast sets etc. Bus #120 will bring you to the South beach in 15-20 min. So, you can really enjoy Maiami when in River Park hotel!

Location was great. Just off I95 and a quick circle back to I95. They need more than one person on the vallet staff, the wait was to long. Also the process with checking in and out was slow. If your a group of guys looking for a place to crash this is your spot.
