Great location and great view over the Hudson River. Reasonably priced. Cramped, run-down rooms. The hotel needs a total renovation. However, then the prices would go up, so for a cheap hotel, we were happy to put up with the extemely basic conditions. |

The room was always warm is just about the only positive thing I can say about the Riverside Tower Hotel. I have never been in such cramped quarters before in my life. I know NYC is expensive but for $159 per night I still expected better amenities. It was a learning experience, in taking online descriptions with a grain of salt. I didn't like the room! |

I like that I could find parking without paying, and I liked the location I didn't feel comfortable enough to get under the covers |

I've forgotten the power adaptor and that was no problem whatsoever. Plus you got a mircowave and a fridge in the room. The elevators weren't always working which is a problem in an hotel this height. Fairly noisy location and thin walls. And I think I killed a roach. When the warm water is used you will know it by the knocking in the pipes. WiFi works only in the lounge. But try to find something better in NYC at this price. |

It was suitated near the subway for easy access into the centre of the city. While it was budget prices the standard of the room was below par for accommodation classified as a hotel. |

It was easy to find, the beds were good. I liked the suite with the 2 private bedrooms. I liked the free internet access I didn't see any snack machines. No internet access in rooms. |

Only the location.I Don't think location actually makes staying in this hotel worthwhile, staying in the car would have been preferable. Firstly, don't believe a word on the website or any photos, double bedroom does not mean double, it means single with a pull-out bed underneath. 'Suite' does not mean 'suite', it means lying on the floor with your head in the fridge and your leg in a desk. There is no on- street parking, the receptionist actually laughed when I asked about it, if you stay in this hotel expect to pay $35 for parking unless you plan on camping in the street. The guy on reception was really 'smart' and tried to overcharge me for a smaller room than I had booked and blamed a change in tax rates for his mis-calculation. I paid less than ny hotels so I didn't have high expectations but I thought a pillow would have been standard. Also it would have been nice if someone didn't have the freedom to walk in to my room in the middle of the night as the doors don't lock properly, slept with one eye open for the rest of the night.Between this and the intense heat, noise from the dripping shower and the street it was an altogether unpleasant stay. Please avoid this hotel at all costs,it is not worth paying less in this situation, pay a bit more and get a good nights sleep elsewhere. |

Being able to store luggage, staff were amenable The room was badly appointed, particularly dirty carpets in room and corridor. Thehotel does not live up to what it advertises. I stayed in other hotels using this system during my stay which were much better and cheaper |

3 blocks from the "1" train!! 2 blocks from Zabar's coffee shop. View of Riverside Park and the Hudson River. The shower worked, the toilet worked and we got clean towels every day. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. It had all the comforts of home without the comfort. The owner must be squeezing every penny out of this place and putting in as little as possible. The halls are dirty, I was afraid to look at the mattress. While it is rumored that the hotel was built from recycled telephone booths this is patently false as telephone booths are much larger than any of the spaces in the hotel. (It is actually a former dormitory). I honestly could not bring myself to stay there again. |

The best was the young woman at the front desk (during the day) who was very courteous & helpful when asked questions. A room was available when checking in around noon. That rarely happens anywhere! Proximity to midtown. Lots of shops & restaurants near the hotel. Subway/buses in close proximity. Safe area & quiet. The hotel does need a little bit of re-furbishing (new paint & maybe remove the old, dark, stained carpets) so it could look newer & brighter... But for the money I paid, I can't say I can complain much. It was really just a place where I can put my bags & sleep. I was out exploring 3/4 of the time anyway... |

Location; neighborhood sense of simply living on Riverside Drive, at Riverside Park, in Manhatten. Staff was helpful and kind. Towels & sheets were crisp and clean. Comfortable with the reality of the situation and handled professionally. Old, small building and rooms ~ sense of renting a tiny studio (with fridge and microwave) for your NY stay. Clean but decidedly rough. The (double) room was only slightly larger than the bed it held. Would likely not have opted for that if shared with another person. |
