The room was I poor condition. Interior of hallways looked awful. Felt like a short stay motel. Very disappointed
The Wi-Fi is slow. TV is only cable. The rooms are small. The lobby is a b it tired looking. And the plastic flowers out front need a make-over. But these are minor issues, all I care about is a comfortable bed in a clean room at a reasonable price, and the Riverside has all that. Would be nice to have faster Wi-Fi though.
It's a tiny room, but has the amenities of a microwave and mini-fridge and it's clean. Shower water runs hot, although not enough pressure (14th floor), a minor point. The view over the Hudson is great. I think it's the best deal in town. Staff are friendly.
Room too small
Loved shower. Internet was good. Close to central park and broadway for food since no breakfast served.
No onsite food.
Location, cost, cleanliness.
small space-no available breakfast option wanted a lock from the inside to feel more secure
There was a little glitch with room assignments, but it was quickly taken care of by the staff.
The price, the cleanliness, the location, and the friendliness of the staff.
view of hudson river
Clean room, comfortable bed, great shower and very reasonable price. Loved it!
Ugly rugs bedspreads and horrible prints on walls. Weird TV.Very small shower that scalded or froze you.
Very nice staff. Quiet, clean. Pretty inexpensive. Good location. Parking easy.
I wish the bed had a little bit softer cover And perhaps a few more inches space in the shower.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of restaurants and pubs and the number 1 subway which can transfer easily to other subways and or buses. Everything you really need is there including a refrigerator and a microwave.
Cold when the winter wind enters under the windows. But it was unusually cold when I was there.
very practical bu metro and bus, Central Park, Times Square, MET.
Very old. Feeling a being cramped. I booked a single room. Very tiny, but i heard the suites were more spacious. Too far west. Coffee shop in hotel closes at 3. Very expensive. $2.50 for a small. Walk to Zabars 2 blocks up. Better buy.
The staff was nice room small but functional Microwave & fridge was good
Almost shockingly small, even for NYC, there was no water pressure in the sink faucet, and one of the outlets would shock me.
Easy, cheap, clean, nothing really wrong with it.
They're renovating certain floors right now. Alittle noisy but expected. We were running around Midtown anyway.
Our room and the staff. The view was awesome.
very small room, small and dirty elevators, noisy heating, condition of bad and floor in the room
good location, free wi-fi, nice price, not far from metro station
Small room and bathroom.
Teeny room, bad heat (they did offer to move me)
Comfortable bed, fridge & microwave
It's an old building and the carpet need a facelift.
The location is great. The staff are friendly. I had a room with view of the river.
the cafe hours and prices and food selections
Both rooms had tv
Late checkout made available upon request was really great as headed for a Europe bound night flight
Only issue I had with the hotel, is the comfort of my room. It was extremely small,'almost dormitory status. As soon as you open the door, there's the bed. The shower is also extremely small. But hey! It's better than a big room, and a shared bathroom.
I only stayed at Riverside for one night. You honestly, get what you pay for and for the hotel to be budget friendly with a private bathroom, it was awesome! The staff was amazing, and it was pretty much quiet on my floor throughout the night.
Bed in main room needs a upgrade.
Close to public transport, great restaurants and a spare room for some privacy. A real value stay.
Rooms were very small and strangely arranged. Soundproofing from next room was pretty bad. Typical old New York residential building - room was really overheated so had to open window on a freezing winter night.
Beautiful quiet location on Riverside Drive. View of park and river. Remarkably low cost for a two-room suite. We didn't spend any time in our rooms, so we didn't care very much about their quality. Felt most like a cheap old hotel in Europe.
Rooms cramped , old fashioned, showers basic, no bath small sinks which were pointless. No kettle in room. Electrics look like they need total rewire.Rooms either very hot or very cold. You have to weigh up all the negatives versus lovely area.
Lovely safe area. Close to bars shops Mcdonalds transport .Views from bedroom outstanding over Hudson River.Free unlimited wifi excellant.
