Clean room, comfortable bed, great shower and very reasonable price. Loved it!
Very nice staff. Quiet, clean. Pretty inexpensive. Good location. Parking easy.
Ugly rugs bedspreads and horrible prints on walls. Weird TV.Very small shower that scalded or froze you.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of restaurants and pubs and the number 1 subway which can transfer easily to other subways and or buses. Everything you really need is there including a refrigerator and a microwave.
I wish the bed had a little bit softer cover And perhaps a few more inches space in the shower.
very practical bu metro and bus, Central Park, Times Square, MET.
Cold when the winter wind enters under the windows. But it was unusually cold when I was there.
The staff was nice room small but functional Microwave & fridge was good
Very old. Feeling a being cramped. I booked a single room. Very tiny, but i heard the suites were more spacious. Too far west. Coffee shop in hotel closes at 3. Very expensive. $2.50 for a small. Walk to Zabars 2 blocks up. Better buy.
Easy, cheap, clean, nothing really wrong with it.
Almost shockingly small, even for NYC, there was no water pressure in the sink faucet, and one of the outlets would shock me.
Our room and the staff. The view was awesome.
They're renovating certain floors right now. Alittle noisy but expected. We were running around Midtown anyway.
good location, free wi-fi, nice price, not far from metro station
very small room, small and dirty elevators, noisy heating, condition of bad and floor in the room
Small room and bathroom.
Comfortable bed, fridge & microwave
Teeny room, bad heat (they did offer to move me)
The location is great. The staff are friendly. I had a room with view of the river.
It's an old building and the carpet need a facelift.
Both rooms had tv
the cafe hours and prices and food selections
Late checkout made available upon request was really great as headed for a Europe bound night flight
I only stayed at Riverside for one night. You honestly, get what you pay for and for the hotel to be budget friendly with a private bathroom, it was awesome! The staff was amazing, and it was pretty much quiet on my floor throughout the night.
Only issue I had with the hotel, is the comfort of my room. It was extremely small,'almost dormitory status. As soon as you open the door, there's the bed. The shower is also extremely small. But hey! It's better than a big room, and a shared bathroom.
Close to public transport, great restaurants and a spare room for some privacy. A real value stay.
Bed in main room needs a upgrade.
Beautiful quiet location on Riverside Drive. View of park and river. Remarkably low cost for a two-room suite. We didn't spend any time in our rooms, so we didn't care very much about their quality. Felt most like a cheap old hotel in Europe.
Rooms were very small and strangely arranged. Soundproofing from next room was pretty bad. Typical old New York residential building - room was really overheated so had to open window on a freezing winter night.
Lovely safe area. Close to bars shops Mcdonalds transport .Views from bedroom outstanding over Hudson River.Free unlimited wifi excellant.
Rooms cramped , old fashioned, showers basic, no bath small sinks which were pointless. No kettle in room. Electrics look like they need total rewire.Rooms either very hot or very cold. You have to weigh up all the negatives versus lovely area.
location on Riverside park close to Broadway subway
Easy access to subway and Zabar's.
Small cafe was closed - on vacation?
convenient location and comfortable room. Good value for the dollar.
excellent location and quiet with good views. Staff were very courteous. Furnishings are basic but this is an excellent budget hotel.
We liked the fact that the hotel was close to many Manhattan attractions, such as central park, time square, the Museum of natural history among others. We also liked that the hotel was near Broadway Av, which has many restaurants and stores to buy anything you want. We would definitely will go back to the hotel. Of course is not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The shower was great, it had a lot of pressure. Not everyone might like that, but we loved the shower. The staff is very professional and treat you nicely.
The only downside probably was that they did not offered breakfast, but considering the price it did not matter.
No heating on the room. I called front desk and was told, "there's no reason for you to be cold! I'm sitting by the door and I'm not cold so you shouldn't be cold either!" Thankfully, I recorded her on audio so management can listen to it- if mngmnt is interested. I asked staff for a portable electric heater and was told the hotel does not offer that. Doors do not have security lock- so anyone van unlock your door while you're asleep or away. Staff at front desk was rude- the rudest I'd ever seen.
Location was ok
Filthy, beat up. Wait an hour for the elevator. Bed was broken. Pulled a bait and switch on the room. Booked a double but of course they didn't have one so they gave us two singles joined by a jack and Jill. TV remote didn't work and TV was May be 1965 with just a few channels. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else..
