Great view of Columbia river, cozy room and very spacious. Definitely would stay here again
We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. It was pretty quiet there, considering it was right on main street.
The place was not very clean. (hair in the sink & a bracelet from the prior guest on the floor between the beds; the carpet was rather dirty) Miss not having a breakfast.
Pool and hot tub offer a view of Mt. Adams and the river gorge Room was clean Cheap price for Hood River
TV was not in bedroom, which is quite odd
location was good room was good sized price was good. pool\ whirlpool was great . not the highest class place but decent for an older hotel
found hair in tub (not ours) . love seat was way short ( was a lot better when we puts legs on it )
Treated as good as anywhere I have ever stayed
The woman who checked us in was very friendly.
We kicked ourselves out of our room early the next morning the office hours said open at 9:00 am so we went on our hike. When we returned after 9:00 am almost 10:00 am the office was still closed we knocked and called for almost 45 minutes. Finally someone came and made us a room key. The Girl who helped is said "we heard you ringing, but were like oh well." This wast the worst customer service I have ever received anywhere. I will be staying at a different location next time.
Good price for Hood River, good location (a bit removed from downtown core), easy parking, clean, minimum road noise.
Slow wifi, poor insulation (had to run the heater continuously because once it stopped the room turned chilly pretty quickly), noisy (continuous loud humming noise from neighbors, prob. the heaters; noisy fridge).
The staff was very friendly. Although the place is older it seemed cleaner than many newer hotels I've stayed in recently. There is a large apartment complex directly behind the building, but our room was quiet both nights. No problem with parking.
The street directly in front of the hotel is very dark at night. The wi-fi didn't work for my wife's tablet but worked reasonably well for our old net book. Had to temporarily turn off the cold water in the sink to get hot water to our liking.
We really like the location. For being close to the road it was really quiet. Our main reason for choosing the Riverview was the cost and it was a really good value. We didn't have the kitchenette but we did have a frig and small coffee maker. I bought some creamer and enjoyed the coffee maker each morning.
Being a woman I didn't like the lack of counter space in the bathroom. Both of us didn't think the bed was very comfortable.
Newly remodeled, pool, spa, cute little deck, quiet, comfortable, big yard.
The two queen beds were in seperate rooms. That was nice! Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, everything was very clean.
The fact that I had to check out would have liked another day of quiet.. I will be back just an hour from Portland and the drive was beautiful.
The beds were new! 2 separate rooms each with its own bed!
It was a great location and a great price.
There were people walking around above us all night. Had to keep the TV on just to drown out the foot steps. The internet never worked. We called first thing in the morning to request an early check in and were told that would be fine. When we got there, an hour before regular check in (not unrealistic seeing as I clal before hand) and the room hadnt been touched. There were two people in the office watching movies though.
Very friendly helpful staff. Accommodation while basic was very good. Very clean. Located just at the edge of town. We were travelling through and stayed one night. It was very good reasonably priced accommodation
Location, very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice basic lodging that was walking distance to the small town center. Our room was quiet, clean, and roomy. Kind of an old-school motel, but in a good way. The staff was helpful with where to run in the morning and had nice maps and brochures. Bedspread was dated but bed was comfy. Nice having a coffee table, desk area, and small eating area with microwave and fridge. I enjoyed the hot tub/pool area each night.
Small thing, but I like the bathroom light switch to be in the bathroom instead of outside.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
Staff accommodating to our disabilities. Lodge close to wedding location. Friendly staff.
The room was ready early as we asked.
There was no view of the river. We only had one set of towels, even though we checked in as a couple. There were no coffee cups. The room had a stale odor. The tiny couch was very uncomfortable to sit in and there was no information on how to operate the TV or directory of channels. Also, there was no information on things to do in Hood River. Bummer...
Easy walk to downtown. Great views. Wonderful pool and hot tub. Sure, it's old, but it's gotten some love recently, as the owners came back to manage it. Easy parking.
Motel 6 and Super 8 are way better and better priced, worse place we have ever stayed at.
Excellent price - very convenient location. Nothing fancy like some other motels might have, but wasn't going to spend a whole lot of time in the motel anyway. Clean - comfortable bed - small frig - microwave. Walking distance to grocery store and breakfast restaurant. (didn't get to use the pool or sauna - ran out of time)
No complaints. Small amount of noise, but not enough to keep you awake.
easy access & good parking
shower tile needs cleaning
There is a restaurant a couple of blocks toward town that had an excellent breakfast. Downtown is only a 15 min walk down the same street. The staff is very helpful. Good value.
Closeness to Town . Very peaceful nice view from the balcony.
