All the direct hotel amenities were good, especially the pool. The performance of some of the eating facilities left a lot to be desired. 1. Banana Leak. Lackadaisical staff. Coffee machine broken for over a month. Not bothered. 2. Queen Victoria. Food was diabolical. Pure grease. Despite the hotel offering a coupon for breakfast at this place, it isn't open for breakfast. Very poor.

The price booking.com shows does not include an additional $15.00 per day resort fee weather you use it or not, and the hotel staff will not tell you this till it is time to check out, also resort/pool closes at 9pm, so even if you check in after 9 you will be charged a fee, simply THIEVES

You'll find everything inside the hotel. Nice to stay and not so expensive. During the week... difficult to find cheaper :) If you don't like to walk, it's few blocks from the center of the stripes !

The hotel is in great sharp and well cared for. The nightly rate has been a great value as compared to other hotels in it Star Class Rating. The upscale, in-hotel, restaurant has great food and service, and is moderately priced. Overall, the Riviera Hotel Casino is the best on Las Vegas Blvd. No in-hotel Starbucks. The coffee shop in the hotel is fare but not comparable to Starbucks. The coffee roast, favors, and food menu of Starbucks is so familiar to us that starting your day with a cup of hotel grade coffee surprise can be less than satisfying.

When I checked in the hotel, the front desk asked if I would like to upgrade my room for an additional $25.00. I said o.k. It was horrible. The room air conditioner was very noisy. I was not able to sleep. When I checked out the hotel, I realized that I forgot to pack my bottles of hair shampoo ,hair conditioner and face cream, I called the hotel immediately telling that I will be back within 1 hour to pick up my items. I was told they found my items. when, I returned one hour later and got the run around from the front desk and the cleaning crews they do not have my items. They sent me to different places trying to retrieve my items with no avail. I have a terrible and horrible experience. I will never book and stay at the Riviera Hotel.

Good location Staff being rude and telling us if we did not like the way the set up was as in the rooms we had booked for and never got, we could go to another hotel. This was only 1 staff member and a manager, the rest tried to be helpful

First, we could not use a hotel luggage cart on our own. We would have to use a bellman (tip of course). We were on a budget and didn't really need to pay someone to carry our bags if we wanted to take them up on a cart ourselves. Therefore we were forced to carry our own bags to the 17th floor and the elevator is a long walk from the desk. Return to car at checkout and another long walk. Desk receptionist was very cool and didn't greet us or act like she was glad we were there. She needs another job in a back room. The room was very disappointing. We have stayed in many, many hotels and this was the worst. Very old and not updated. Small rooms with old everything. No coffee maker. Would never stay there again and will recommend anyone to stay and any of the thousand of other hotels in Vegas. We thought the Riviera was suppose to be so nice, ha! What a joke. Demolish and rebuild!!!

We made our reservations on 2/4/13. When we arrived on 6/6/13 our reserved room was under construction and we were offered another room at the same price; however it was a smoking room. They charged us an addition daily fee to change rooms. Not acceptable. After a long day of traveling we asked for assistance in locating our room. We were directed to a man who wooed us with free dinner and show tickets and $40 down payment if we would spend an hour the next day learning how Las Vegas would be changing and growing in the next few years. The next day we didn't want to attend this event but were required to do so if we wanted our $40 returned to us. Turns out it was a time-share presentation and we were very upset and felt taken advantage of. In addition I ordered a drink in the casino and the glass was dirty with lip stick marks all around the rim. I will never stay at the Riveriera again. Never!

The price of room was great. The room itself was clean and stocked. Location was great- near everything. Liked the shops, restaurants, and casino. The front desk woman who checked me in was great. Very friendly and helpful. I waited in line to be checked in for at least 20 mins because the group in front of me had difficulties with their payment. The manager passed by several times, without saying excuse me, to stand around and talk with other employees. I smiled at him a few times but he did not return the friendliness. He stood around and did nothing even though there was a long line. The woman at the front desk should have been the manager.
