This Miami Beach boutique hotel features a trendy rooftop lounge, glass-enclosed pool and a restaurant with a full-service bar. A full breakfast is provided, and the beach is just across Ocean Drive.
Score from 599 reviews Good
I like the hotel because is close to the beach and many places like store restaurants, and is very easy to find any kind of place. The hotels employees are very attendant and addorable. I can say to any person that is a good hotel and the suites are awesome.
I've stayed at many luxury hotels and I must say the Riviera is top notch. The hospitality is exceptional. Whenever I'm in Miami I will be staying at your location.
Very close to the beach, clean and beautiful designed rooms, nice and helpful staff, great pools. near everything, free beach towels and free beach chairs, free shuttle to airport. We received help with parking and they carried our bags to and from our room. All was just great. We felt very welcome. Thank you. Best/Souad
The hotel is JUST alright
Everything had been paid for and when I left they charged me an extra $180! I called them and made a claim through email, but it was of no help! I should have never book them, as I did read a comment similar to this on this page before I booked. So it obviously happens often.
Dark rooms No balcony in suites
The rooms have a young and fresh docoration. Even a bit hippy and rock and roll is the right word. The lounge area round the 2 pools is really nice with thick matrasses on the floor which makes it really comfortable. They have nice music. The bar is nice cuban style with live music each day round 28h.
Well i did not dislike anything. I consider it one of the coolest hotels i have visited and i am a frequent traveller but ... i can imagine this is not a hotel for coming with a lot of kids or a hotel for an older couple.
Lift did not work 3-4 times in a week. Wifi did not work for a whole evening. And was poor many times. No good breakfast. Shuttle was not on time. Room cleaning once in 2 days.
Very good location short walk to beach and close to busy Lincoln Rd for restaurants and shops. Nice rooftop pool.
Staff a bit off hand not very helpful. Don't ask the bar man to serve a drink, it seems to offend him! Access to beach beds on beach really good but additional $15 charge for beach umbrella.
The rooftop pool area is really nice. The beds and décor are super. Not crowded at all. The suites are big and nicely decorated with a very comfortable king bed. Valet parking was fast.
The sofabed was to small and uncomfortable. Would expect more from a country where people are quite big... The free drinks during Happy Hour is not worth it-crowded, unfriendly service and not very tasty. The sunbeds on the beach are terrible-old, worn down and very uncomfortable. They don´t match the hotel and the standard they try to achieve.
Location was very convenient, room was great and staff was friendly.
Walls are thin, a group of young girls were very loud all hours of the night.
It is the nearest hotel to Miami Beach Convention Center.
Internet service (wifi) was stopped for few hours in the early morning of Aug. 5 and Aug. 7.
Location close to art deco area. Nice roof top pool and good Cuban restaurant.
We got a very dark (almost depressing) room on ground floor. Badly lit and dark colours in room.
the toiletries were nice. It was 2 short blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk (4 long blocks) to the main shopping area of Lincoln road. The southbeachloop bus stopped within 100 yards of the hotel (25 cents a ride). I asked a woman at reception if they would mind removing the products in the minibar in my room so I could use it for my own things and they sent someone to do that immediately.
My experience of the staff was that with 2 exceptions, they were almost slightly rude in their approach, certainly off hand and not very smiling or welcoming and getting any tourist info from them was like pulling teeth. Check in was a long process as they can't serve more than 1 person effectively at a time - front desk is small. The door to the en-suite is frosted glass but still see through. The shower poured water out onto the bathroom floor. The sink was in the bedroom, not in the bathroom and there was nowhere to hang a towel for the sink. The bed had an indentation in the mattress on the side I prefer to sleep and into which I 'fell' uncomfortably each night. Housekeeping used an orange smelling agent which was overpowering. The aircon is set to freezing when you go in your room. Internet was patchy and slow. The rooms have wood floors - great but it means that there is unacceptable noise coming from the rooms above as people clomp about or click their heels - I think the people above me were moving the furniture around each evening, at least it sounded like that. Soundproofing generally is very poor - I don't want to have to hear people's bodily functions or marital activities through the walls thank you. There is also a great deal of noise in the corridors in the early hours - some of the guests when I stayed were incredibly inconsiderate, shouting and banging on people's doors begging to be let in - shouting to each other through the doors, playing music loudly in their rooms at 3 am etc. The website makes the hotel look fabulous and there is the tempting offer of what appears to be great complimentary perks however, all is not what it seems and I think they subtly misrepresent what they actually do offer. Be aware that there is a 'resort fee' of $17 per day on top of the room rate plus tax which I guess is to cover the so called complimentary perks most of which are simply not worth it.
No room service
Quiet location with professionnal staff. Good value for money in July
Wifi very hard to connect but it´s almost a detail. Breakfast quite long.
Good location, close to center by walk but not in the middle of it so a bit quite area. Very modern rooms, small but ok. General areas clean, who cares about the dusty windows. Comfortable bed, good linens.
Very small pools but enough to rest and become cool bu not feeling exactly clean. Has a beach with free sunbed and umbrella but need to walk about 10 mins.. Nothing to hang your towel around the washbasin which is not comfortable.
Good location, staff and value
wifi very very slow car parking very expensive (36$ p.night)
Nothing. I will never go there again.
The hotel was beautiful and friendly and it was so nice to be able to walk everywhere! it was definitely worth the drive and 100% sure we will be going again!
the only thing was the lighting, it was very dark inside the hotel room but we didnt mind it too much considering we were outside more than anything.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Riviera Suite, the staff showed excellent customer service, the rooms were serviced to a high spec, and they accommodated to our every need.
The bed was great!
They was no bathtub in the suite.
Better water pressure in restroom.
Location to far from ocean dr walking
