the splash pod and swimming pool. drinking water always available.
self parking far from hotel
Staff, comfortable rooms, nicely decorated. Beautiful grounds.
Lazy river pool area dirty with trash & old food that attracted lots of insects.
The location, Service and restaurant. We had a dinner and breakfast. The service and the food were delicious. We enjoed also the gardens and the swimming pools.
The size of the beds. Should be better the Queen size and not the double size. In alternative through rooms with appropriate bed size. The garage for guest as a free parking was not clearly explained so We were pushed to have the valet service
My kids- ages 6 and 14 absolutely loved the water slide/lazy river! The resort also provides fancy fruit-infused water at several different locations throughout the pool area.
Staff was pleasant. Pretty setting.
I didn't think they hotel was particularly clean.
Loved the rocking river and water slide for the kids. Beautiful area, saw coyotes, quails and other wildlife.
Beautiful resort and great location
I had specifically requested a room with double beds before our arrival (there were 3 adults in our group) and the hotel rep confirmed it over the phone. When we arrived, they said they only had rooms with king sized beds available and there was not much they could do. The person at reception was completely clueless and not even trying to help, she just kept saying "absolutely, absolutely" and stared at us blankly. They even said there weren't any extra cots available. Luckily the housekeeping staff wasn't on the same page and they were able to drop a cot off for us. I expected more from the JW though the manager was very apologetic and tried to make it right by giving us a discount on the room and comping us with drinks. If they stopped overbooking and trained their front desk better, it would live up to the JW reputation.
Location, spa, clean, friendly, relaxing atmosphere, great food, beautiful pool, scenic views, nature hike, sunrise/sunset views, sequestered, private, all-encompassing, nature promoting, etc!
Self parking was far away; inability to unload your own luggage (with cart) to the self-parking garage; did not seem to want you to self-park, made it difficult, laborious, and inconvenient to go that route.
All staff is very nice, and professional, from bottom to top
Slow pool side service
I loved the view, the feel and the ambiance of the resort..
I am a local and I was charged resort tax.. I think being a local you should receive a discount of some sort.
Such a great property. The view is fantastic and staff is excellent.
Bike company was outstanding. Breakfast Buffet every morning was right on the money. Overall the experience was a 4 Star as advertised.
Golf Staff was 50/50. (Played there 4 times. Starters were excellent! Guys that meet you to set you up on the cart...literally half fell short...I am a customer and a guest...just because they get tired of "guests" doesn't mean you treat us like you don't want the hastle....that attitude may very we'll be the sole decision point on whether I come back. The golf pro shop counter...50/50...older guy named Mark...he was great. The others...they were condescending and seemed too good to be bothered. Famous BBQ restaurant wasn't that great. Staff was pretty rough...friendly but closer to 3 Star than 4. Menu was pretty heavy. BBQ they served us wasn't award winning. Also, some lighter fare food options would have been nice.
Beautiful location and well kept grounds.
fresh water available at every public area of the resort, hiking trails right outside the door, Larry Redhouse, politeness and service of entire staff, near many sightseeing destinations
Liked the area and the lay out of the resort, pools, spa etc. Good views from rooms.
Spa robs are old and had fluff in the pockets and seams Also robs in rooms where ruff on the skin and not that comfortable.
Very friendly, helpful staff. They even printed our boarding passes at checkout. Great location at the edge of a large desert mountain park(trail access across the street) yet not far to the downtown restaurant scene. Nice, well maintained facilities. We hope to stay here again.
We had the signature city view which does exposé you to patio music but it stops promptly at 10pm. The other side has a nice mountain view but has a western exposure that could be hot in certain months.
All personnel were friendly.
Love this destination.
-Nearby hiking trails -Biking around the resort -Our room had a great view of the city -Live music at night
-Self parking was too far from the main lobby -Guest rooms with city view can be noisy with the live music from the restaurant downstairs if one goes to bed before 10:00 pm. We were on the 8th floor (highest floor).
