Next to the tram station which takes you to pier 39 and about 20 mins drive from Golden Gate Bridge. Host was very helpful with directions and where to go! Room was clean and ready well before check in time. Wifi worked consistently! Great pizza place 5 min walk up the road and lovely cafe practically next door!
I love the Beach atmosphere
Alittle run down
- The reception is nice - We could leave the car on the parking the next day while visiting the city - Quite clean, but not perfectly - Situated just new the beach - There are fridge and microvawe oven - There is the tram just nearby, and the bus not far away - There are some nice cafes to take breakfast just nearby - One of the cheapest hotels in San Fransisco
- The Wi-Fi connection is with the password. We were told the password was on the TV, but it was nowhere. (Probably we could ask at the reception, but as we arrived late, we did not want to disturb, thus, we did not have the internet) - There were several little ants in the bed - The water pressure in the shower is very low, and the hot water is not very hot: not comfortable to wash youself - The TV did not work: there was just the sound, but not the image - Quite far from the city center and the piers: almost 1 hour by bus - We found the price too high for the quality provided
Location, close to the beach Muni (public transport) is just around the corner 2Min walk Clean room
Comfortable beds, and Pretty quiet. The best thing going for this place is the location. Wonderful restaurant 2 doors down (John's...) 2 blocks from beach access, across from the zoo. Muni behind property.
Discusting bathroom...Mold in shower. I went barefoot in the room and my feet turned black.
If your not looking for frills this motel fits the bill as it has a nice location in the city and doesn't cost a fortune to stay at.
People staying in room near me were very noisy for a period of time in the middle of the night that even woke me up but thankfully they settled down.
Location to golden gate park, zoo, and the beach!! Free parking, close nightlife
Thin sheets, small rooms, traffic noise on one side of the motel. Back side is wonderful. Quieter and can hear ocean
It was a block away from a nice beach, and there were a couple good cafe/deli's close by. The Muni L line is right around the corner. Smoking rooms were available.
Had to ask for clean blanket after I noticed a used bandage stuck to the one on the bed. Bottoms of my feet turned black from walking barefoot on the carpet.
the room was huge! Pretty clean looking. The shower had a sit down nook. Location excellent for beach.
I was creeped out! Lamps didn't work. People next for very loud. Felt like there were cameras in room. Could hear people downstairs talking as if in room. Windows didn't close fully, no air conditioner, mans hair on sink! There was only a chain on door to lock. No actual regular lock.
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION EXCELLENT WI-FI CONNECTION
TACKY OLD MUSTY DIRTY TINY BATH TOWELS REFRIDGERATOR NOT WORKING ANCIENT MICROWAVE TINY PILLOWS SAGGING MATRESS(S) LACK OF ELECTRICAL OUTLETS
I did like that it was a quiet night's sleep after a long drive and sightseeing the City by the Bay. There is also a nice little hole in the café just west of the hotel that had some nice food.
Did not like being questioned like a criminal by the Clerk outside our room. He kept saying he needed to see "all the papers"...I kept asking him "like what papers?" I produced my canine's San Diego County Tag, My VA Paperwork, her medical and shot records, and even her grooming receipts. He said that he does not want another dog stinking up the room....Excuse me, now he is saying my canine stinks? Will never stay there again and urge other Disabled Veterans not to do so either.
It's a poor motel and NOT Value for money. The staff was not nice.
comfortable beds, close to the beach and places to eat.
The shower looked like it had been a while since it was cleaned, there is mold between the tiles, it was not cleaned while we visited. Broken towel holder, towels for 2 only when we booked for 3 guests.
close to the zoo
room is very old,
That it was clean and convenient location and price.
When we arrived at 11:00PM we had to ring the door which I would expect at that time of day. However all tthe days we were there the front desk was locked and unstaffed, we always had to ring the bell and the man who runs the motel was extremely rude. The first night we were there I called to get an outside line to make a call and was told that I could not call the front desk from 11:00 PM to 08:00 AM He never gave me a line and said don't call here again after 11:00 PM Very rude not personable.
MUNI access was very convenient. Had parking included with your stay (within facilities).
The attitude of the woman behind the counter. She had a hostile attitude. Not very welcoming. The room was pretty worn down.
My husband and I loved the location. The L Taravel drops you off and picks you up less than a block away. The ceilings were high and made the small room look bigger. across the street from zoo and near ocean beach. Peaceful.
We're not to stoked on the limited amount of supplies. Noticed cracks in wall. went through heck just trying to get basic supplies such as an ice bucket. Price was a little high considering how small the room is and how little you get in it.
I had never been to San Francisco before. I did extensive online research and thought this place was a good deal for the money seeing how we didn't want to blow our entire vacation budget on the hotel - also we waited to book the hotel 3 weeks before the vacation so our options were limited. Haha. This place was pretty convenient no matter what part of san francisco you were trying to get to. Me and my friend did all the touristy stuff and it only ever took up 20-30 mins to get anywhere. Lots of great local sandwich shops/restaurants around here. Free parking was nice as well.
This place is by no means glamorous but its worked because we didn't want to blow our entire vacation budget on the hotel bill. No major complaints. It is what it is.
Location is great...hotel is disgustingly dirty
Room was filthy..dirt on the walls, stained carpet and broken tiles in the tiny bathroom. The staff was rude to my disabled step father. There was no soundproofing between rooms and I could hear every whisper between the rooms. The bed was clean and smelled of bleach and laundry soap which is the only reason I stayed. I would never stay here again.
Refrigerator. Across from zoo. Muni train and muni bus connections.
Old, not as advertised , needs complete makeover. No shampoo, miniscule soap, thin, dingy towels.
The Staff was very polite and helpful. That means alot. I hope that never changes.
There was no mattress cover. The sheet's did not fit the bed. The blanket had hair tangled in it. There was white powder all around the base boards in the room, what where they trying to kill ???? the furniture was as if it had never been dusted, dresser look as if it was water damaged. Every time we moved the phone the tv would shut off. LOL...the bed frame had about 4 layers of dust at the top and bottom ..but most awful was the shower...the floor was godawful, it had hair in the bottom and it was not cleaned.Informed the manager he said it was just stained, but with hair in the bottom ...nope dont think so. The last person that used it had some type of filthy feet OOOOh sooooo gross,( so we were unable to shower....went to a more reputable hotel and paid $50 to just shower.) they only give you 1 wash cloth, 1 towel and 1 hand towel for 2 people...come on now ...really....it was stuffy so I asked for a fan and he offered somewhat of a hand fan..OMG....NEVER Again... I hope they just purchased this place cause with the amount of money going into this place they should be able to make it clean and comfortable...i am willing to pay for clean and comfort. I think maybe the money is being sent to another country for who knows what...so take to heart "You Get What You Pay For"... So beware
staff goes out of their way to be rude, worn down room, very noisy, loud bathroom fans you can hear in next room
Staff was friendly
This hotel was run down and way to expensive! The room was so dirty we put towels down in the shower and walk ways. The mattress had blood stains and I am still itching! It was so bad that we slept in hooded sweatshirts so NOTHING would touch the bed. There were stains and splatter marks on the walls and a faint smell of urine throughout the room.
A roof over our heads
The smell, the maids were rude along with the owners, there was blood on the sink when we came in, and wifi turned off after 10
