Very clean and quiet even though it is in a high traffic area.
Parking was a bit dicey.
The upper floor room was nice, had all the basics, clean and comfortable.
The first night our room was on the ground floor and a group of drunks was hanging out on the sidewalk in front of our room. I don't know if they were guests or workers. I had to go out 3 x asking them to leave since we couldn't sleep with all the noise they were making. The third time I told them I was calling the cops if they didn't go, that's when they finally left. Also the cable channels in the room are very limited to maybe 15 channels.
This place was a wonderful surprise! It was a bit dates but well maintained. There have been some upgrades that were obvious like bedding, bathroom counter top, etc. It was very clean and quiet. I won't hesitate to stayed here again when in the area.

We spent 2 nights here in August after a very long trip from Europe, arriving at JFK very late on a Saturday night. We are from upstate NY and had an appointment in NYC on Monday morning and our goal with this stay was to be able to rest and recover from the trip, and possibly be able to go to the beach on Sunday. Rockville Center Inn was perfect for this. We were picked up at JFK by hotel staff, and then on Monday morning taken to the train station, as needed. Our room was large and gracious. We could have spent the whole day in it resting very comfortably, but in fact we did get to the beach. Walked into Rockville Center, and took the bus from there. The only bad things was the $12 each to go to the beach, but that was not the hotel's fault. Our room was quiet, and very pleasant.
Having gotten used to incredible breakfast spreads in Scotland and England, the breakfast was a bit of a let-down, but by American standards, it was perfectly fine, if a little boring. Other than that we were very pleased with the hotel, overall.
The hotel is little outdated and dark appearance from the outside but it has a special charm. Everything is polished and clean. I got my best rest while on vacation.
Easily accessible, apart from the best beaches of Long Beach.

I liked the size of the room, the small kitchen niche, the cleanliness.
Long Island is expensive, so it may be worth a little extra for a more centrally located hotel with more bells and whistles (I had to walk a half mile to the free gym, and if your new to the area, it wasn't obvious). It was just a touch run down--peeled wall paper, etc, but very clean. Big peeve: they insisted on activating your room key nearly everyday, even if you had a reservation for 4 days.

The night time receptionist was very professional and sweet.
People next room were VERY loud early morning and so I told the morning receptionist at check out that people shouldn't be standing in the front of the rooms talking loud for 2 hours straight and that it was something to prevent in the future. He (the morning receptionist) laughed instead of apologizing for the inconvenience. It was terribly rude of him! It is not a place I'll go back to nor refer to anyone I know. Sorry guys.
The staff was friendly and easy to talk. Since we were waiting to move into our new home, the attitudes of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel made the wait to move much easier. We also enjoyed the variety of food at breakfast.
Our room was facing outside near the entrance to the front desk. This area was quite noisy at times due to the back and forth of the shuttle and the voices of people going in and out. We were also unhappy with the size of the bed pillows. They were smaller than standard size and were used on a king size bed. However, we made the best of it.

We attended a concert at Jones Beach so the location is ideal for that venue.
The hotel is in serious need of upgrades. The linens were all dingy and old. I felt gross laying in the bed like it hadn't been cleaned. The pillows were like 10 years old and super flat. The towels were rough and the breakfast was horrible.
Microwave and refrigerator in room. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Water pressure in shower excellent.

There was no information about the hotel in the room. (amenities, schedule for breakfast, ect.). There was one bag of coffee, no condiments or tea.
There was no parking, this is a suburban area where there is no street parking allowed There were not nearly enough parking spaces for the amount of guests No warning about this at all and the night clerk seemed to be getting a kick out of sending people to another lot that was full. We told him it was full and he continued to send people to the full lot. Really a disgrace The night clerk also needed a shower. Not paying, not going back (duh) and making sure no one else goes there as well
