It's dingy. Lots of deferred maintenance, tired furnishings, peeling paint, old TVs smelled of cigarette smoke, worn out carpets, beds & linens. The place needs a complete overhaul and upgrade - especially given the rates being charged. Tub had residual hair, shower surround was cracked and counter seals would probably have looked better if they were applied by a child. The "breakfast" was pathetic.
The staff was quite gracious upon arrival, as well as when returning key to exit our stay the next day. The room was tastefully decorated and clean. It was within about a 5-10 min drive from Downtown Portland, where we were planning to go.
The smell of cigarettes from the smoking rooms, while entering through the hall to our room:/
Initia!lly didn't look all that promising. But we were pleasantly surprised. We were traveling with friends. We all agreed that was the best night sleep on our 7 day trip! The room was clean, quiet and mattress was Great!
The exterior was not that appealing. Could use some updated curb appeal.
the staff was friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the bed looks comfortable
breakfast very very limited
The front desk woman, I am sorry I don't remember her name - but very, very helpful. She was an employee not one of the other people who were there.
Immediate area is kind of sketchy.
Room was a good size, bathroom was clean, quiet neighborhood
Sheets had hair on one of the beds, desk was unattended a couple of times, remote didn't work for tv
The bed was comfortable.
You hear the highway, so it is loud. And the faucet of the shower was broken. Also there was hair in the bath tub.
Good value.good bed.
Shower head is way to low, seems made for someone of 5 feet in height as is washing basin. Windows stick and do not close in room 137.
Very large beds and free WiFi was very nice. Mini fridge and microwave were a good touch but did not work.
It smelled really bad of smoke. Bed was really hard and the shower was so low you had to crouch to use it. Continental breakfast was a joke. Some toast and beverages was all it was. You get what you pay for.
Short stays ok. The building is in need of a much needed renovation. It's ok for simply fulfilling the purpose of giving you the traveler, a place to unwind and rest.
If you want extended stay this is not the place for you.
It was really close to everything I planned for the weekend. Nothing was that far away.
More lighting in the hallways.
everything, this place was so run down & dirty we left a day early, I feel really ripped off, I would like a credit, I have stayed in Roadway Inns before & they were nice, I will never choose one again. This place should either be updated or closed!
It was very clean, and it is very conveniently located if you are traveling along Hwy. 26! Although it wasn't early enough in the morning for our needs, there is free coffee. Pleasant receptionist.
No vending machine if you need a snack or bottled water. (You can cross the street to a convenience store, if you must.) For early risers who need to get on the road, the coffee didn't start until 6:30...
1/4 mile or so from blue-line tram. Quite fast to downtown without traffic and parking hassles. Nothing much in the neighbourhood but a local tavern, strip bar and mart. Friendly maintenance man, others ... well just ok. Recommend if you just want to sleep in a reasonable cheaper room.
We had two non-smoking rooms. One was good, other room was likely used for smokers when they needed the room $. Shower heads were really low and hot/cold varied somewhat. Sheets were not changed for 3 nights. One room had "no" housekeeping service for two days. Manager said he didn't know and did not offer compensation until I pushed the matter and received a 10% charge back. Continental Breakfast included? Don't bother. That is what you get for the cost.
Breakfast was more like a snack. Always have less towels, some stained. Staff unfriendly.
Terrible coffee, dirty rooms, days with sheets not changed, days with beds not made.
The best thing about the Rodeway Inn is it's proximity to Portland. It's just off the freeway, so you can be downtown in ten minutes. The staff was friendly, even when I had to have my key card recharged several times.
There was a transient in the lobby offering to show me to my room (for a tip). My room was on the side of the building that bordered both the freeway and the MAX line. The noise was exactly what you'd expect. The entire hotel smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The furniture in my room was outdated and worn.
the location the price free breakfast
no area to enjoy the free breakfast no towels in room upon arrival
Price n location
It smelled musty....
Loved everything about hotel.like home
The room was fairly clean when I arrived.
This motel is situated in a woebegotten corner of Beaverton, right next to a strip joint called the "Sunset Strip." Shady characters are continually going in and out of the motel, propping open the side security door so they can smoke right outside the building or let their sketchy friends inside. The motel property is filthy and unkempt, and the inside hall smells like decades old cigarettes, booze and vomit. I stayed there a week and my room was only cleaned once. The so-called "free breakfast" consisted of overbrewed coffee, white bread and packaged sweet rolls. The staff were mostly rude and unhelpful. I had repeatedly and unsuccessfully asked for a light in the bathroom to be repaired. When I came in the last day to check out, the cleaning lady was in the room before check out time. She yelled at me and my dog. Needless to say, I will never patronize this place again.
Heavy smoker odor in hallway and in non-smoking room. Room LOOKED clean, but because of smoke smell, FELT as if it had not been cleaned. Also, fresh washclothes were not provided each day.
Accessibility to the Max into Portland; relative quiet despite being so close to Hwy 26; overall cleanliness for a motel of its class
The lady at the front desk was really nice! It was no problem to get our room for another day! The bed was ok. It was good that the tram station wasn't far away from the hostl! You did not hear the traffic that loud even the hostl is near the highway...
The matress was old, the hallway was stinking!!
I thought that this place was going to be really bad. Overall it worked out nicely as a cheap place to stay and rest our heads for the night. I found the room to be cleaner than I expected. The AC worked great, it was over 100 degrees in Portland that day. The woman at the front desk was nice. The mattress was firm, which I like, with two soft pillows. It was very affordable. The wifi in the room was great, I was able to stream Netflix. The location close to Portland was excellent and easy to find.
When I pulled into the parking lot I found out the hotel in adjacent to a strip club! There were seedy types in and around the parking lot. I'll admit I was a little scared. The room could have been nicer, it needed an update. My favorite feature was that the door had clearly been kicked open in the past, probably in a drug bust or worse, and they made no efforts to hide that in the repair. It gave the room some character for sure.
